Ezekiel 29:1-32 In the tenth year , in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month , the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 H1121 Son H120 of man H7760 [H8798] , set H6440 thy face H6547 against Pharaoh H4428 king H4714 of Egypt H5012 [H8734] , and prophesy H4714 against him, and against all Egypt:

3 H1696 [H8761] Speak H559 [H8804] , and say H559 [H8804] , Thus saith H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H6547 ; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh H4428 king H4714 of Egypt H1419 , the great H8577 dragon H7257 [H8802] that lieth H8432 in the midst H2975 of his rivers H559 [H8804] , which hath said H2975 , My river H6213 [H8804] is my own, and I have made it for myself.

4 H5414 [H8804] But I will put H2397 H2397 [H8676] hooks H3895 in thy jaws H1710 , and I will cause the fish H2975 of thy rivers H1692 [H8689] to stick H7193 to thy scales H5927 [H8689] , and I will bring thee H8432 out of the midst H2975 of thy rivers H1710 , and all the fish H2975 of thy rivers H1692 [H8799] shall stick H7193 to thy scales.

5 H5203 [H8804] And I will leave H4057 thee thrown into the wilderness H1710 , thee and all the fish H2975 of thy rivers H5307 [H8799] : thou shalt fall H6440 upon the open H7704 fields H622 [H8735] ; thou shalt not be brought together H6908 [H8735] , nor gathered H5414 [H8804] : I have given H402 thee for food H2416 to the beasts H776 of the field H5775 and to the fowls H8064 of heaven.

6 H3427 [H8802] And all the inhabitants H4714 of Egypt H3045 [H8804] shall know H3068 that I am the LORD H4938 , because they have been a staff H7070 of reed H1004 to the house H3478 of Israel.

7 H8610 [H8800] When they took hold H3709 of thee by thy hand H7533 [H8735] , thou didst break H1234 [H8804] , and rend H3802 all their shoulder H8172 [H8736] : and when they leaned H7665 [H8735] upon thee, thou didst break H4975 , and make all their loins H5976 [H8689] quake.

8 H559 [H8804] Therefore thus saith H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H935 [H8688] ; Behold, I will bring H2719 a sword H3772 [H8689] upon thee, and cut off H120 man H929 and beast out of thee.

9 H776 And the land H4714 of Egypt H8077 shall be desolate H2723 and waste H3045 [H8804] ; and they shall know H3068 that I am the LORD H559 [H8804] : because he hath said H2975 , The river H6213 [H8804] is mine, and I have made it.

10 H2975 Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers H5414 [H8804] , and I will make H776 the land H4714 of Egypt H2721 utterly H2723 waste H8077 and desolate H4024 , from the tower H5482 of Syene H1366 even to the border H3568 of Cush.

11 H7272 No foot H120 of man H5674 [H8799] shall pass through H7272 it, nor foot H929 of beast H5674 [H8799] shall pass through H3427 [H8799] it, neither shall it be inhabited H705 forty H8141 years.

12 H5414 [H8804] And I will make H776 the land H4714 of Egypt H8077 desolate H8432 in the midst H776 of the countries H8074 [H8737] that are desolate H5892 , and her cities H8432 among H5892 the cities H2717 [H8716] that are laid waste H8077 shall be desolate H705 forty H8141 years H6327 [H8689] : and I will scatter H4714 the Egyptians H1471 among the nations H2219 [H8765] , and will disperse H776 them through the countries.

13 H559 [H8804] Yet thus saith H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H7093 ; At the end H705 of forty H8141 years H6908 [H8762] will I gather H4714 the Egyptians H5971 from the people H6327 [H8738] among whom they were scattered:

14 H7725 [H8804] And I will bring again H7622 the captives H4714 of Egypt H7725 [H8689] , and will cause them to return H776 into the land H6624 of Pathros H776 , into the land H4351 of their habitation H8217 ; and they shall be there a base H4467 kingdom.

15 H8217 It shall be the basest H4467 of the kingdoms H5375 [H8691] ; neither shall it exalt H1471 itself any more above the nations H4591 [H8689] : for I will diminish H7287 [H8800] them, that they shall no more rule H1471 over the nations.

16 H4009 And it shall be no more the confidence H1004 of the house H3478 of Israel H2142 0 , which bringeth H5771 their iniquity H2142 [H8688] to remembrance H6437 [H8800] , when they shall look H310 after H3045 [H8804] them: but they shall know H136 that I am the Lord H3069 GOD.

17 H7651 And it came to pass in the seven H6242 and twentieth H8141 year H7223 , in the first H259 month, in the first H2320 day of the month H1697 , the word H3068 of the LORD H559 [H8800] came to me, saying,

18 H1121 Son H120 of man H5019 , Nebuchadnezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon H5647 0 caused H2428 his army H5647 [H8689] to serve H1419 a great H5656 service H6865 against Tyre H7218 : every head H7139 [H8716] was made bald H3802 , and every shoulder H4803 [H8803] was rubbed raw H7939 : yet had he no wages H2428 , nor his army H6865 , for Tyre H5656 , for the service H5647 [H8804] that he had served against it:

19 H559 [H8804] Therefore thus saith H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H5414 [H8802] ; Behold, I will give H776 the land H4714 of Egypt H5019 to Nebuchadnezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon H5375 [H8804] ; and he shall take H1995 her multitude H7997 [H8804] , and take H7998 her spoil H962 [H8804] , and take H957 her prey H7939 ; and it shall be the wages H2428 for his army.

20 H5414 [H8804] I have given H776 him the land H4714 of Egypt H6468 for his labour H5647 [H8804] which he served H6213 [H8804] against it, because they wrought H5002 [H8803] for me, saith H136 the Lord H3069 GOD.

21 H3117 In that day H6779 0 will I cause H7161 the horn H1004 of the house H3478 of Israel H6779 [H8686] to bud forth H5414 [H8799] , and I will give H6610 thee the opening H6310 of the mouth H8432 in the midst H3045 [H8804] of them; and they shall know H3068 that I am the LORD.
