Ezekiel 29:1-32 In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

2 H1121 "Son H120 of man, H7760 set H6440 your face H6547 against Pharaoh H4428 king H4714 of Egypt, H5012 and prophesy H4714 against him and against all Egypt.

3 H1696 Speak H559 and say, H559 ‘Thus says H136 the Lord H3069 Yahweh: H6547 "Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh H4428 king H4714 of Egypt, H1419 the great H8577 monster H7257 that lies H8432 in the midst H2975 of his rivers, H559 that has said, H2975 ‘My river H6213 is my own, and I have made it for myself.'

4 H5414 I will put H2397 hooks H3895 in your jaws, H1710 and I will make the fish H2975 of your rivers H1692 stick H7193 to your scales; H5927 and I will bring you up H8432 out of the midst H2975 of your rivers, H1710 with all the fish H2975 of your rivers H1692 which stick H7193 to your scales.

5 H5203 I'll cast H4057 you forth into the wilderness, H1710 you and all the fish H2975 of your rivers. H5307 You'll fall H6440 on the open H7704 field. H622 You won't be brought together, H6908 nor gathered. H5414 I have given H402 you for food H2416 to the animals H776 of the earth H5775 and to the birds H8064 of the sky.

6 H3427 All the inhabitants H4714 of Egypt H3045 will know H3068 that I am Yahweh, H4938 because they have been a staff H7070 of reed H1004 to the house H3478 of Israel.

7 H8610 When they took hold H3709 of you by your hand, H7533 you broke, H1234 and tore H3802 all their shoulders; H8172 and when they leaned H7665 on you, you broke, H5976 and paralyzed H4975 all of their thighs."

8 H559 Therefore thus says H136 the Lord H3069 Yahweh: H935 "Behold, I will bring H2719 a sword H3772 on you, and will cut off H120 man H929 and animal from you.

9 H776 The land H4714 of Egypt H8077 shall be a desolation H2723 and a waste; H3045 and they shall know H3068 that I am Yahweh. H559 Because he has said, H2975 ‘The river H6213 is mine, and I have made it;'

10 H2975 therefore, behold, I am against you, and against your rivers, H5414 and I will make H776 the land H4714 of Egypt H2721 an utter H2723 waste H8077 and desolation, H4024 from the tower H5482 of Seveneh H1366 even to the border H3568 of Ethiopia.

11 H7272 No foot H120 of man H5674 shall pass through H7272 it, nor foot H929 of animal H5674 shall pass through H3427 it, neither shall it be inhabited H705 forty H8141 years.

12 H5414 I will make H776 the land H4714 of Egypt H8077 a desolation H8432 in the midst H776 of the countries H8074 that are desolate; H5892 and her cities H8432 among H5892 the cities H2717 that are laid waste H8077 shall be a desolation H705 forty H8141 years; H6327 and I will scatter H4714 the Egyptians H1471 among the nations, H2219 and will disperse H776 them through the countries."

13 H559 For thus says H136 the Lord H3069 Yahweh: H7093 "At the end H705 of forty H8141 years H6908 will I gather H4714 the Egyptians H5971 from the peoples H6327 where they were scattered;

14 H7725 and I will bring back H7622 the captivity H4714 of Egypt, H7725 and will cause them to return H776 into the land H6624 of Pathros, H776 into the land H4351 of their birth; H8217 and they shall be there a base H4467 kingdom.

15 H8217 It shall be the base H4467 of the kingdoms; H5375 neither shall it any more lift itself up above H1471 the nations: H4591 and I will diminish H7287 them, that they shall no more rule H1471 over the nations.

16 H4009 It shall be no more the confidence H1004 of the house H3478 of Israel, H2142 bringing H5771 iniquity H2142 to memory, H6437 when they turn to look H310 after H3045 them: and they shall know H136 that I am the Lord H3069 Yahweh."'"

17 H7651 It came to pass in the seven H6242 and twentieth H8141 year, H7223 in the first H259 month, in the first H2320 day of the month, H1697 the word H3068 of Yahweh H559 came to me, saying,

18 H1121 Son H120 of man, H5019 Nebuchadnezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon H5647 caused H2428 his army H5647 to serve H1419 a great H5656 service H6865 against Tyre: H7218 every head H7139 was made bald, H3802 and every shoulder H4803 was worn; H7939 yet had he no wages, H2428 nor his army, H6865 from Tyre, H5656 for the service H5647 that he had served against it.

19 H559 Therefore thus says H136 the Lord H136 Yahweh: H5414 Behold, I will give H776 the land H4714 of Egypt H5019 to Nebuchadnezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon; H5375 and he shall carry H1995 off her multitude, H5375 and take H7998 her spoil, H7997 and take H957 her prey; H7939 and it shall be the wages H2428 for his army.

20 H5414 I have given H776 him the land H4714 of Egypt H6468 as his recompense H5647 for which he served, H6213 because they worked H5002 for me, says H136 the Lord H3069 Yahweh.

21 H3117 In that day H6779 will I cause H7161 a horn H6779 to bud forth H1004 to the house H3478 of Israel, H5414 and I will give H6610 you the opening H6310 of the mouth H8432 in their midst; H3045 and they shall know H3068 that I am Yahweh.
