Deuteronomy 18 The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.

1 H3548 The priests H3881 the Levites, H7626 and all the tribe H3878 of Levi, H2506 shall have no part H5159 nor inheritance H3478 with Israel: H398 [H8799] they shall eat H801 0 the offerings H3068 of the LORD H801 made by fire, H5159 and his inheritance.

2 H5159 Therefore shall they have no inheritance H7130 among H251 their brethren: H3068 the LORD H5159 is their inheritance, H1696 [H8765] as he hath said to them.

3 H3548 And this shall be the priest's H4941 due H5971 from the people, H2076 [H8802] from them that offer H2077 a sacrifice, H7794 whether ox H7716 or sheep; H5414 [H8804] and they shall give H3548 to the priest H2220 the shoulder, H3895 and the two cheeks, H6896 and the stomach.

4 H7225 The firstfruit H1715 also of thy grain, H8492 of thy wine, H3323 and of thy oil, H7225 and the first H1488 of the fleece H6629 of thy sheep, H5414 [H8799] shalt thou give him.

5 H3068 For the LORD H430 thy God H977 [H8804] hath chosen H7626 him out of all thy tribes, H5975 [H8800] to stand H8334 [H8763] to minister H8034 in the name H3068 of the LORD, H1121 him and his sons H3117 for ever.

6 H3881 And if a Levite H935 [H8799] shall come H259 from any H8179 of thy gates H3478 out of all Israel, H1481 [H8802] where he sojourned, H935 [H8804] and come H185 with all the desire H5315 of his breath H4725 to the place H3068 which the LORD H977 [H8799] shall choose;

7 H8334 [H8765] Then he shall minister H8034 in the name H3068 of the LORD H430 his God, H251 as all his brethren H3881 the Levites H5975 [H8802] do, who stand H6440 there at the face of H3068 the LORD.

8 H2506 They shall have like portions H398 [H8799] to eat, H4465 beside that which cometh of the sale H1 of their fathers' estates.

9 H935 [H8802] When thou art come H776 into the land H3068 which the LORD H430 thy God H5414 [H8802] giveth H3925 [H8799] thee, thou shalt not learn H6213 [H8800] to do H8441 after the abominations H1471 of those nations.

10 H4672 [H8735] There shall not be found H1121 among you any one that maketh his son H1323 or his daughter H5674 [H8688] to pass H784 through the fire, H7080 [H8802] or that useth H7081 divination, H6049 [H8781] or an observer of times, H5172 [H8764] or an enchanter, H3784 [H8764] or a witch,

11 H2266 H2267 [H8802] Or a charmer, H7592 [H8802] or a consulter H178 with mediums, H3049 or a wizard, H1875 [H8802] or one who calls up H4191 [H8801] the dead.

12 H6213 [H8802] For all that do H8441 these things are an abomination H3068 to the LORD: H1558 and because H8441 of these abominations H3068 the LORD H430 thy God H3423 [H8688] doth drive them out H6440 from the face of thee.

13 H8549 Thou shalt be perfect H3068 with the LORD H430 thy God.

14 H1471 For these nations, H3423 [H8802] which thou shalt possess, H8085 [H8799] hearkened H6049 [H8781] to observers of times, H7080 [H8802] and to diviners: H3068 but as for thee, the LORD H430 thy God H5414 [H8804] hath not permitted thee so to do.

15 H3068 The LORD H430 thy God H6965 [H8686] will raise up H5030 to thee a Prophet H7130 from the midst H251 of thee, of thy brethren, H8085 [H8799] like me; to him ye shall hearken;

16 H7592 [H8804] According to all that thou didst desire H3068 of the LORD H430 thy God H2722 in Horeb H3117 in the day H6951 of the congregation, H559 [H8800] saying, H8085 [H8800] Let me not hear H3254 [H8686] again H6963 the voice H3068 of the LORD H430 my God, H7200 [H8799] neither let me see H1419 this great H784 fire H4191 [H8799] any more, that I may not die.

17 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H3190 [H8689] to me, They have well H1696 [H8765] spoken of that which they have spoken.

18 H6965 [H8686] I will raise up to them H5030 a Prophet H7130 from among H251 their brethren, H5414 [H8804] like thee, and will put H1697 my words H6310 in his mouth; H1696 [H8765] and he shall speak H6680 [H8762] to them all that I shall command him.

19 H376 And it shall come to pass, that whoever H8085 [H8799] will not hearken H1697 to my words H1696 [H8762] which he shall speak H8034 in my name, H1875 [H8799] I will require it of him.

20 H5030 But the prophet, H2102 [H8686] who shall presume H1696 [H8763] to speak H1697 a word H8034 in my name, H6680 [H8765] which I have not commanded H1696 [H8763] him to speak, H1696 [H8762] or that shall speak H8034 in the name H312 of other H430 gods, H5030 even that prophet H4191 [H8804] shall die.

21 H559 [H8799] And if thou shalt say H3824 in thy heart, H3045 [H8799] How shall we know H1697 the word H3068 which the LORD H1696 [H8765] hath not spoken?

22 H5030 When a prophet H1696 [H8762] speaketh H8034 in the name H3068 of the LORD, H1697 if the thing H935 [H8799] doth not follow, nor come to pass, H1697 that is the thing H3068 which the LORD H1696 [H8765] hath not spoken, H5030 but the prophet H1696 [H8765] hath spoken H2087 it presumptuously: H1481 [H8799] thou shalt not be afraid of him.
