Deuteronomy 18 The priests the Levites, even all the tribe of Levi, shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of Jehovah made by fire, and his inheritance.

1 H3548 The priests H3881 the Levites, H7626 even all the tribe H3878 of Levi, H2506 shall have no portion H5159 nor inheritance H3478 with Israel: H398 they shall eat H801 the offerings H3068 of Jehovah H801 made by fire, H5159 and his inheritance.

2 H5159 And they shall have no inheritance H7130 among H251 their brethren: H3068 Jehovah H5159 is their inheritance, H1696 as he hath spoken unto them.

3 H3548 And this shall be the priests' H4941 due H5971 from the people, H2076 from them that offer H2077 a sacrifice, H7794 whether it be ox H7716 or sheep, H5414 that they shall give H3548 unto the priest H2220 the shoulder, H3895 and the two cheeks, H6896 and the maw.

4 H7225 The first-fruits H1715 of thy grain, H8492 of thy new wine, H3323 and of thine oil, H7225 and the first H1488 of the fleece H6629 of thy sheep, H5414 shalt thou give him.

5 H3068 For Jehovah H430 thy God H977 hath chosen H7626 him out of all thy tribes, H5975 to stand H8334 to minister H8034 in the name H3068 of Jehovah, H1121 him and his sons H3117 for ever.

6 H3881 And if a Levite H935 come H259 from any H8179 of thy gates H3478 out of all Israel, H1481 where he sojourneth, H935 and come H185 with all the desire H5315 of his soul H4725 unto the place H3068 which Jehovah H977 shall choose;

7 H8334 then he shall minister H8034 in the name H3068 of Jehovah H430 his God, H251 as all his brethren H3881 the Levites H5975 do, who stand H6440 there before H3068 Jehovah.

8 H2506 They shall have like portions H398 to eat, H4465 besides that which cometh of the sale H1 of his patrimony.

9 H935 When thou art come H776 into the land H3068 which Jehovah H430 thy God H5414 giveth H3925 thee, thou shalt not learn H6213 to do H8441 after the abominations H1471 of those nations.

10 H4672 There shall not be found H1121 with thee any one that maketh his son H1323 or his daughter H5674 to pass H784 through the fire, H7080 one that useth H7081 divination, H6049 one that practiseth augury, H5172 or an enchanter, H3784 or a sorcerer,

11 H2266 or a charmer, H7592 or a consulter H178 with a familiar spirit, H3049 or a wizard, H1875 or a necromancer.

12 H6213 For whosoever doeth H8441 these things is an abomination H3068 unto Jehovah: H1558 and because H8441 of these abominations H3068 Jehovah H430 thy God H3423 doth drive them out H6440 from before thee.

13 H8549 Thou shalt be perfect H3068 with Jehovah H430 thy God.

14 H1471 For these nations, H3423 that thou shalt dispossess, H8085 hearken H6049 unto them that practise augury, H7080 and unto diviners; H3068 but as for thee, Jehovah H430 thy God H5414 hath not suffered thee so to do.

15 H3068 Jehovah H430 thy God H6965 will raise up H5030 unto thee a prophet H7130 from the midst H251 of thee, of thy brethren, H8085 like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

16 H7592 according to all that thou desiredst H3068 of Jehovah H430 thy God H2722 in Horeb H3117 in the day H6951 of the assembly, H559 saying, H8085 Let me not hear H3254 again H6963 the voice H3068 of Jehovah H430 my God, H7200 neither let me see H1419 this great H784 fire H4191 any more, that I die not.

17 H3068 And Jehovah H559 said H3190 unto me, They have well H1696 said that which they have spoken.

18 H6965 I will raise them up H5030 a prophet H7130 from among H251 their brethren, H5414 like unto thee; and I will put H1697 my words H6310 in his mouth, H1696 and he shall speak H6680 unto them all that I shall command him.

19 H376 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever H8085 will not hearken H1697 unto my words H1696 which he shall speak H8034 in my name, H1875 I will require it of him.

20 H5030 But the prophet, H1696 that shall speak H1697 a word H2102 presumptuously H8034 in my name, H6680 which I have not commanded H1696 him to speak, H1696 or that shall speak H8034 in the name H312 of other H430 gods, H5030 that same prophet H4191 shall die.

21 H559 And if thou say H3824 in thy heart, H3045 How shall we know H1697 the word H3068 which Jehovah H1696 hath not spoken?

22 H5030 when a prophet H1696 speaketh H8034 in the name H3068 of Jehovah, H1697 if the thing H935 follow not, nor come to pass, H1697 that is the thing H3068 which Jehovah H1696 hath not spoken: H5030 the prophet H1696 hath spoken H2087 it presumptuously, H1481 thou shalt not be afraid of him.
