Proverbs 29

  29:1   2908 κρείσσων Better 435 ανήρ a man 1650 ελέγχων of reproofs, 435 ανδρός than a man 4644 σκληροτραχήλου hard-necked; 1819.1-1063 εξαπίνης γαρ for suddenly 5392.2 φλεγομένου [³blazing up 1473 αυτού ⁴for him 3756-1510.2.3 ουκ έστιν ¹there is no 2392 ίασις ²healing].   29:2   1471.1 εγκωμιαζομένων In the lauding 1342 δικαίων of the just 2165 ευφρανθήσονται [²will be glad 2992 λαοί ¹peoples]; 758 αρχόντων [⁴the rule 1161 δε ¹but 765 ασεβών ⁵of the impious 4730.1 στένουσιν ³moan over 435 άνδρες ²men].   29:3   435 ανδρός A man 5368 φιλούντος fond of 4678 σοφίαν wisdom 2165 ευφραίνεται gladdens 3588 ο   3962-1473 πατήρ αυτού his father; 3739-1161 ος δε but the one 4165 ποιμαίνει tending 4204 πόρνας harlots 622 απολεί destroys 4149 πλούτον wealth.   29:4   935 βασιλεύς [²king 1342 δίκαιος ¹A just] 450 ανίστησι establishes 5561 χώραν regions; 435 ανήρ [³man 1161 δε ¹but 3892.1 παράνομος ²a lawbreaking] 2679 κατασκάπτει razes them.   29:5   3739 ος The one who 3903 παρασκευάζεται makes preparations 1909 επί [²against 4383 πρόσωπον ³the person 3588 του   1438 εαυτού ⁴of his own 5384 φίλου ⁵friend 1350 δίκτυον ¹with a net] 4016-1473 περιβαλλεί αυτό puts it around 3588 τοις   1438 εαυτού his own 4228 ποσίν feet.   29:6   264 αμαρτάνοντι [⁴sinning 435 ανδρί ³against a man 3173 μεγάλη ¹A great 3803 παγίς ²snare is set]; 1342-1161 δίκαιος δε but the just 1722 εν [²in 5479 χαρά ³joy 2532 και ⁴and 1722 εν ⁵in 2167 ευφροσύνη ⁶gladness 1510.8.3 έσται ¹will be].   29:7   1987 επίσταται [²has knowledge 1342 δίκαιος ¹A just man] 2919 κρίνειν to judge 3998 πενιχροίς for the destitute; 3588-1161 ο δε but the 765 ασεβής impious 3756 ου do not 3539 νοεί comprehend 1108 γνώσιν knowledge; 2532 και and 4434 πτωχώ to the poor 3756 ουχ there does not 5224 υπάρχει exist 3563 νους the mind 1921.2 επιγνώμων of an arbitrator.   29:8   435 άνδρες [²men 3061 λοιμοί ¹Mischievous] 1572 εξέκαυσαν burn away 4172 πόλιν a city; 4680-1161 σοφοί δε but wise men 654 απέστρεψαν turn away 3709 οργήν anger.   29:9   435 ανήρ [²man 4680 σοφός ¹A wise] 2919 κρινεί judges 1484 έθνη nations; 435 ανήρ [³man 1161 δε ¹but 5337 φαύλος ²a heedless], 3710 οργιζόμενος in provoking to anger, 2606 καταγελάται ridicules 2532 και and 3756 ου is not 2670.4 καταπτήσσει struck with awe.   29:10   435 άνδρες Men 129 αιμάτων [²in blood 3353 μέτοχοι ¹being partners] 3404 μισήσουσιν shall detest 3741 όσιον the sacred; 3588-1161 οι δε but the 2117 ευθείς upright 1567 εκζητήσουσι will seek after 5590-1473 ψυχήν αυτού his soul.   29:11   3650 όλον [⁵entire 3588 τον   2372 θυμόν ⁶rage 1473 αυτού ⁴his 1627 εκφέρει ³brings forth 3588 ο ¹The 878 άφρων ²fool]; 4680-1161 σοφός δε but the wise 5009.2 ταμιεύεται stores his up 2596 κατά in 3313 μέρος part.   29:12   935 βασιλέως A king 5219 υπακούοντος hearkening 3056 λόγον [²matter 94 άδικον ¹in an unjust] 3956 πάντες makes all 3588 οι the ones 5259 υπ΄ under 1473 αυτόν him 3892.1 παράνομοι lawbreakers.   29:13   1157 δανειστού A money-lender 2532 και and 5533 χρεωφειλέτου debtor, 240 αλλήλοις when one another 4905 συνελθόντων come together 1984 επισκοπήν [⁴to oversee 4160 ποιείται ³commits 297 αμφοτέρων ⁵both 3588 ο ¹the 2962 κύριος ² lord].   29:14   935 βασιλέως A king 1722 εν [³in 225 αλήθεια ⁴truth 2919 κρίνοντος ¹judging 4434 πτωχούς ²the poor], 3588 ο   2362-1473 θρόνος αυτού his throne 1519 εις [²for 3142 μαρτύριον ³a good testimony 2525 κατασταθήσεται ¹shall be established].   29:15   4127 πληγαί Strokes 2532 και and 1650 έλεγχοι reproofs 1325 διδόασι give 4678 σοφίαν wisdom; 3816-1161 παις δε but a child 4105 πλανώμενος wandering 153 αισχύνει shames 1118-1473 γονείς αυτού his parents.   29:16   4183 πολλών [²of many 1510.6 όντων ¹With the being] 765 ασεβών impious, 4183 πολλαί many 1096 γίνονται [²take place 266 αμαρτίαι ¹sins]; 3588-1161 οι δε but with the 1342 δίκαιοι just, 1565-4098 εκείνων πιπτόντων at the falling of those, 2705.3 κατάφοβοι fear 1096 γίνονται takes place.   29:17   3811 παίδευε Correct 5207-1473 υιόν σου your son, 2532 και and 373-1473 αναπαύσει σε he will cause you rest, 2532 και and 1325 δώσει he will give 2889 κόσμον a decoration 3588 τη to 5590-1473 ψυχή σου your soul.   29:18   3766.2 ου μη In no way 5224 υπάρξη should there exist 1834.2 εξηγητής an expositor 1484 έθνει [²nation 3892.1 παρανόμω ¹to a lawbreaking]; 3588-1161 ο δε but the one 5442 φυλάσσων keeping 3588 τον the 3551 νόμον law 3108.1 μακάριστος is most blessed.   29:19   3056 λόγοις [⁵by words 3756 ου ³will not be 3811 παιδευθήσεται ⁴corrected 3610 οικέτης ²domestic servant 4642 σκληρός ¹A recalcitrant]; 1437-1063-2532 εάν γαρ και for even if 3539 νοήση he comprehends 3756 ουχ he will not 5219 υπακούσεται obey.   29:20   1437 εάν If 1492 ίδης you should behold 435 άνδρα a man 5036 ταχύν hasty 1722 εν in 3056 λόγοις words, 1097 γίνωσκε know 3754 ότι that 1680 ελπίδα [⁴hope 2192 έχει ³has 3123 μάλλον ⁵rather than 3588 ο ¹the 878 άφρων ²fool] 1473 αυτού he!   29:21   3739 ος The one who 2686.1 κατασπαταλά lives wastefully 1537 εκ from 3816 παιδός child hood 3610-1510.8.3 οικέτης έσται will be a domestic servant; 2078-1161 έσχατον δε and at the end 3600 οδυνηθήσεται will grieve 1909 εφ΄ over 1438 εαυτώ himself.   29:22   435 ανήρ A man 2373.1 θυμώδης inclined to rage 3736 ορύσσει digs up 3497.2 νείκος altercation; 435-1161 ανήρ δε and a man 3711 οργίλος prone to anger 1846 εξώρυξεν gouges up 266 αμαρτίας sin.   29:23   5196 ύβρις Insolence 435 άνδρα [²a man 5013 ταπεινοί ¹abases]; 3588-1161 τους δε but the 5012.1 ταπεινόφρονας [³the humble-minded 2043 ερείδει ²establishes 1391 δόξη ⁴in glory 2962 κύριος ¹ lord].   29:24   3739 ος The one who 3307 μερίζεται shares 2812 κλέπτη with a thief 3404 μισεί detests 3588 την   1438 εαυτού his own 5590 ψυχήν soul. 1437-1161 εάν δε And if 3727 όρκου an oath 4388 προτεθέντος having been set before 191 ακούσαντες ones hearing, 3361 μη but they should not 312 αναγγείλωσι announce it,   29:25   5399 φοβηθέντες they, fearing 2532 και and 153 αισχυνθέντες shaming 444 ανθρώπους men, 5286.3 υπεσκελισθήσονται shall be tripped up; 3588-1161 ο δε but the 3982 πεποιθώς one yielding 1909 επί upon 2962 κύριον the lord 2165 ευφρανθήσεται shall be glad. 763 ασέβεια Impiety 435 ανδρί in man 1325 δίδωσι makes 4968.5 σφάλμα a man trip; 3588 ο δε but the one 3982 πεποιθώς yielding 1909 επί unto 3588 τω the 1203 δεσπότη master 4982 σωθήσεται shall be preserved.   29:26   4183 πολλοί Many 2323 θεραπεύουσι attend to 4383 πρόσωπα the persons 2233 ηγουμένων of leaders; 3844-1161 παρά δε but by 2962 κυρίου the lord 1096 γίνεται [²happens 3588 το   1342 δίκαιον ¹justice] 435 ανδρί to a man.   29:27   946 βδέλυγμα [³is an abomination 1342 δίκαιος ¹A just 435 ανήρ ²man 435 ανδρί ⁵man 94 αδίκω ⁴to an unjust]; 946-1161 βδέλυγμα δε and an abomination 459 ανόμω to the lawless one 2720 κατευθύνουσα is a straight 3598 οδός way.
