  25:1   *-3767 Φήστος ουν Then Festus, 1910 επιβάς having set foot 3588 τη in the 1885 επαρχία jurisdiction, 3326 μετά after 5140 τρείς three 2250 ημέρας days 305 ανέβη ascended 1519 εις unto * Ιεροσόλυμα Jerusalem 575 από from * Καισαρείας Caesarea.   25:2   1718 ενεφάνισαν [⁴revealed 1161 δε ¹And 1473 αυτώ ⁵to him 3588 ο ²the 749 αρχιερεύς ³chief priest] 2532 και and 3588 οι the 4413 πρώτοι foremost men 3588 των of the * Ιουδαίων Jews 2596 κατά the things against 3588 του   * Παύλου Paul, 2532 και and 3870 παρεκάλουν they appealed to 1473 αυτόν him,   25:3   154 αιτούμενοι asking 5484 χάριν a favor 2596 κατ΄ against 1473 αυτού him, 3704 όπως that 3343 μεταπέμψηται he should fetch 1473 αυτόν him 1519 εις unto * Ιερουσαλήμ Jerusalem, 1747 ένεδραν [²an ambush 4160 ποιούντες ¹while making] 337 ανελείν to do away with 1473 αυτόν him 2596 κατά along 3588 την the 3598 οδόν way.   25:4   3588-3303-3767 ο μεν ουν Then * Φήστος Festus 611 απεκρίθη responded 5083-3588-* τηρείσθαι τον Παύλον for Paul to be kept 1722 εν in * Καισαρεία Caesarea, 1438-1161 εαυτόν δε but he himself 3195 μέλλειν was about 1722 εν   5034 τάχει to quickly 1607 εκπορεύεσθαι go forth.   25:5   3588 οι The ones 3767 ουν then 1415 δυνατοί mighty 1722 εν among 1473 υμίν you, 5346 φησί says he, 4782 συγκαταβάντες having gone down too, 1536 ει τι if anything 1510.2.3 εστιν is 824 άτοπον out of place 1722 εν in 3588 τω   435-3778 ανδρί τούτω this man, 2723 κατηγορείτωσαν let them accuse 1473 αυτού him.   25:6   1304-1161 διατρίψας δε And having spent time 1722 εν among 1473 αυτοίς them 2250 ημέρας [⁴days 4183 πλείους ¹more 2228 η ²than 1176 δέκα ³ten], 2597 καταβάς having gone down 1519 εις unto * Καισάρειαν Caesarea, 3588 τη the 1887 επαύριον next day 2523 καθίσας having sat 1909 επί upon 3588 του the 968 βήματος rostrum, 2753 εκέλευσε he bid 3588 τον   * Παύλον Paul 71 αχθήναι to be led in.   25:7   3854 παραγενομένου [³being come 1161 δε ¹And 1473 αυτού ²he], 4026 περιέστησαν there stood around 3588 οι the 575 από [³from * Ιεροσολύμων ⁴Jerusalem 2597 καταβεβηκότες ²having come down * Ιουδαίοι ¹Jews], 4183 πολλά with many 2532 και and 926 βαρέα grievous 159.1 αιτιώματα accusations 5342 φέροντες bringing 2596 κατά against 3588 του   * Παύλου Paul, 3739 α which 3756 ουκ they were not 2480 ίσχυον able 584 αποδείξαι to exhibit,   25:8   626-1473 απολογουμένου αυτού while of his pleading, saying 3754 ότι that, 3777 ούτε Neither 1519 εις against 3588 τον the 3551 νόμον law 3588 των of the * Ιουδαίων Jews, 3777 ούτε nor 1519 εις against 3588 το the 2413 ιερόν temple, 3777 ούτε nor 1519 εις against * Καίσαρά Caesar 5100 τι in anything 264 ήμαρτον I sinned.   25:9   3588 ο   *-1161 Φήστος δε And Festus, 3588 τοις [⁴with the * Ιουδαίοις ⁵Jews 2309 θέλων ¹wanting 5484 χάριν ³favor 2698 καταθέσθαι ²to lay down], 611 αποκριθείς responding 3588 τω to * Παύλω Paul, 2036 είπε said, 2309 θέλεις Are you willing 1519 εις [²unto * Ιεροσόλυμα ³Jerusalem 305 αναβάς ¹to ascend 1563 εκεί ⁷there 4012 περί ⁸concerning 3778 τούτων ⁹these things 2919 κρίνεσθαι ⁴to be judged 1909 επ΄ ⁵by 1473 εμού ⁶me]?   25:10   2036 είπε [³said 1161 δε ¹And 3588 ο   * Παύλος ²Paul], 1909 επί Unto 3588 του the 968 βήματος rostrum * Καίσαρος of Caesar 2476-1510.2.1 εστώς ειμι I am standing, 3739 ου of which 1473-1163 με δει it is necessary for me 2919 κρίνεσθαι to be judged. * Ιουδαίους To Jews 3762 ουδέν I did no 91 ηδίκησα wrong, 5613 ως as 2532 και also 1473 συ you 2573 κάλλιον well 1921 επιγινώσκεις realize.   25:11   1487 ει [²if 3303 μεν ³indeed 1063 γαρ ¹For] 91 αδικώ I do wrong, 2532 και and 514 άξιον [³worthy 2288 θανάτου ⁴of death 4238 πέπραχά ¹have acted 5100 τι ²in anything], 3756 ου I do not 3868 παραιτούμαι ask pardon 3588 το   599 αποθανείν to die; 1487-1161 ει δε but if 3762-1510.2.3 ουδέν εστιν there is nothing 3739 ων of which 3778 ούτοι they 2723 κατηγορούσι charge 1473 μου me, 3762 ουδείς no one 1473 με [³me 1410 δύναται ¹can 1473 αυτοίς ⁴to them 5483 χαρίσασθαι ²grant]. * Καίσαρα To Caesar 1941 επικαλούμαι I call upon.   25:12   5119 τότε Then 3588 ο   * Φήστος Festus 4814 συλλαλήσας conversing together 3326 μετά with 3588 του the 4824 συμβουλίου council 611 απεκρίθη responded, * Καίσαρα To Caesar 1941 επικέκλησαι you have called upon, 1909 επί unto * Καίσαρα Caesar 4198 πορεύση you shall go.   25:13   2250 ημερών [³days 1161 δε ¹And 1230 διαγενομένων ⁴having elapsed 5100 τινών ²some], * Αγρίππας Agrippa 3588 ο the 935 βασιλεύς king 2532 και and * Βερνίκη Bernice 2658 κατήντησαν arrived 1519 εις at * Καισάρειαν Caesarea, 782 ασπασόμενοι saluting 3588 τον   * Φήστον Festus.   25:14   5613-1161 ως δε And when 4183 πλείους [²many 2250 ημέρας ³days 1304 διέτριβον ¹they spent] 1563 εκεί there, 3588 ο   * Φήστος Festus 3588 τω the 935 βασιλεί king 394 ανέθετο presented 3588 τα the things 2596 κατά relating to 3588 τον   * Παύλον Paul, 3004 λέγων saying, 435 ανήρ [³man 5100 τις ²a certain 1510.2.3 εστι ¹There is] 2641 καταλελειμμένος being left 5259 υπό by * Φήλικος Felix, 1198 δέσμιος a prisoner;   25:15   4012 περί concerning 3739 ου whom 1096-1473 γενομένου μου on my being 1519 εις in * Ιεροσόλυμα Jerusalem, 1718 ενεφάνισαν [⁸revealed 3588 οι ¹the 749 αρχιερείς ²chief priests 2532 και ³and 3588 οι ⁴the 4245 πρεσβύτεροι ⁵elders 3588 των ⁶of the * Ιουδαίων ⁷Jews], 154 αιτούμενοι asking for 2596 κατ΄ [²against 1473 αυτού ³him 1349 δίκην ¹punishment].   25:16   4314 προς To 3739 ους whom 611 απεκρίθην I answered 3754 ότι that, 3756-1510.2.3 ουκ έστιν It is not 1485 έθος the custom * Ρωμαίοις with Romans 5483 χαρίζεσθαί to grant 5100 τινα any 444 άνθρωπον man 1519 εις for 684 απώλειαν destruction, 4250 πριν before 2228 η the practice 3588 ο the one 2723 κατηγορούμενος being accused 2596-4383 κατά πρόσωπον [⁴face to face 2192 έχοι ¹may have 3588 τους ²the 2725 κατηγόρους ³accusers], 5117-5037 τόπον τε and [²a place 627 απολογίας ³of defense 2983 λάβοι ¹may receive] 4012 περί concerning 3588 του the 1462 εγκλήματος indictment.   25:17   4905 συνελθόντων [³having come 3767 ούν ¹Then 1473 αυτών ²they] 1759 ενθάδε here, 311 αναβολήν [³delay 3367 μηδεμίαν ¹not 4160 ποιησάμενος ²making], 3588 τη in the 1836 εξής next day 2523 καθίσας having seated 1909 επί at 3588 του the 968 βήματος rostrum, 2753 εκέλευσα I bid 71 αχθήναι [³to be led in 3588 τον ¹the 435 άνδρα ²man];   25:18   4012 περί concerning 3739 ου whom, 2476 σταθέντες [³standing up 3588 οι ¹the 2725 κατήγοροι ²accusers], 3762 ουδεμίαν [²no 156 αιτίαν ³accusation 2018 επέφερον ¹brought] 3739 ον which 5282-1473 υπενόουν εγώ I suspected;   25:19   2213 ζητήματα [³matters 1161 δε ¹but 5100 τινα ²certain] 4012 περί concerning 3588 της their 2398 ιδίας own 1175 δεισιδαιμονίας reverence of God 2192 είχον they had 4314 προς against 1473 αυτόν him, 2532 και and 4012 περί concerning 5100 τινος a certain * Ιησού Jesus 2348 τεθνηκότος having died, 3739 ον whom 5335-3588-* έφασκεν ο Παύλος Paul maintained 2198 ζην to be alive.   25:20   639 απορούμενος [³being perplexed 1161 δε ¹And 1473 εγώ ²I] 3588 την   4012 περί concerning 3778 τούτου this 2214 ζήτησιν inquiry, 3004 έλεγον said, 1487 ει Shall 1014 βούλοιτο he be willing 4198 πορεύεσθαι to go 1519 εις unto * Ιερουσαλήμ Jerusalem, 2546 κακεί and there 2919 κρίνεσθαι to be judged 4012 περί concerning 3778 τούτων these things?   25:21   3588 του   1161 δε But * Παύλου Paul, 1941 επικαλεσαμένου having called upon 5083 τηρηθήναι αυτόν himself to be kept 1519 εις for 3588 την the 3588 του   *-1233 Σεβαστού διάγνωσιν inquiry of Augustus, 2753 εκέλευσα I bid 5083 τηρείσθαι to keep 1473 αυτόν him 2193 έως until 3739 ου of which time 3992-1473 πέμψω αυτόν I should send him forth 4314 προς to * Καίσαρα Caesar.   25:22   *-1161 Αγρίππας δε And Agrippa 4314 προς [²to 3588 τον   * Φήστον ³Festus 5346 έφη ¹said], 1014 εβουλόμην I wanted 2532 και also 1473 αυτός myself 3588 του [²the 444 ανθρώπου ³man 191 ακούσαι ¹to hear]. 3588-1161 ο δε And the 839 αύριον morrow, 5346 φησίν he says, 191 ακούση you shall hear 1473 αυτού him.   25:23   3588-3767 τη ουν Then in the 1887 επαύριον next day 2064 ελθόντος [⁴having come 3588 του   * Αγρίππα ¹Agrippa 2532 και ²and 3588 της   * Βερνίκης ³Bernice] 3326 μετά with 4183 πολλής much 5325 φαντασίας visible display, 2532 και and 1525 εισελθόντων having entered 1519 εις into 3588 το the 201 ακροατήριον auditorium, 4862 συν with 5037 τε both 3588 τοις the 5506 χιλιάρχοις commanders, 2532 και and 435 ανδράσι men, 3588 τοις the ones 2596 κατ΄ of 1851 εξοχήν prominence 1510.6 ούσι being 3588 της of the 4172 πόλεως city, 2532 και and 2753-3588-* κελεύσαντος του Φήστου Festus having bid, 71-3588-* ήχθη ο Παύλος Paul was led in.   25:24   2532 και And 5346-3588-* φησιν ο Φήστος Festus says, *-935 Αγρίππα βασιλεύ O king Agrippa, 2532 και and 3956 πάντες all 3588 οι the 4840 συμπαρόντες [²being present with 1473 ημίν ³us 435 άνδρες ¹men], 2334 θεωρείτε you view 3778 τούτον this one 4012 περί concerning 3739 ου whom 3956 παν all 3588 το the 4128 πλήθος multitude 3588 των of the * Ιουδαίων Jews 1793 ενέτυχόν interceded 1473 μοι with me 1722 εν in 5037 τε both * Ιεροσολύμοις Jerusalem 2532 και and 1759 ενθάδε here, 1916 επιβοώντες yelling aloud 3361-1163 μη δειν [²must not 2198 ζην ³live 1473 αυτόν ¹he] 3371 μηκέτι any longer.   25:25   1473-1161 εγώ δε And I 2638 καταλαβόμενος having perceived 3367 μηδέν [³nothing 514 άξιον ⁴worthy 2288 θανάτου ⁵of death 1473 αυτόν ¹he 4238 πεπραχέναι ²to have done], 2532 και [³also 1473 αυτού ⁴himself 1161 δε ¹and 3778 τούτου ²this one] 1941 επικαλεσαμένου having called upon 3588 τον   * Σεβαστόν Augustus, 2919 έκρινα I judged 3992 πέμπειν to send 1473 αυτόν him.   25:26   4012 περί Concerning 3739 ου whom 804-5100 ασφαλές τι [²anything safe 1125 γράψαι ³to write 3588 τω ⁴to my 2962 κυρίω ⁵lord 3756-2192 ουκ έχω ¹I have not]. 1352 διό Therefore 4254 προήγαγον I led 1473 αυτόν him 1909 εφ΄ unto 1473 υμών you, 2532 και and 3122 μάλιστα especially 1909 επί unto 1473 σου you, 935 βασιλεύ O king * Αγρίππα Agrippa, 3704 όπως so that 3588 της the 351 ανακρίσεως examination 1096 γενομένης having taken place, 2192 σχω I should have 5100 τι something 1125 γράψαι to write.   25:27   249 άλογον [³illogical 1063 γαρ ¹For 1473 μοι ⁴to me 1380 δοκεί ²it seems] 3992 πέμποντα to send forth 1198 δέσμιον a prisoner, 3361-2532 μη και and not 3588 τας [²the 2596 κατ΄ ⁴against 1473 αυτού ⁵him 156 αιτίας ³accusations 4591 σημάναι ¹signifying].
