Hosea 7

KJV_Strongs(i)
H7495 When I would have healed [H8800]   H3478 Israel H5771 , then the iniquity H669 of Ephraim H1540 was discovered [H8738]   H7451 , and the wickedness H8111 of Samaria H6466 : for they commit [H8804]   H8267 falsehood H1590 ; and the thief H935 cometh in [H8799]   H1416 , and the troop H6584 of robbers spoileth [H8804]   H2351 without.
H559 And they consider [H8799]   H3824 not in their hearts H2142 that I remember [H8804]   H7451 all their wickedness H4611 : now their own doings H5437 have beset them about [H8804]   H6440 ; they are before my face.
H4428 They make the king H8055 glad [H8762]   H7451 with their wickedness H8269 , and the princes H3585 with their lies.
H5003 They are all adulterers [H8764]   H8574 , as an oven H1197 heated [H8802]   H644 by the baker [H8802]   H7673 , who ceaseth [H8799]   H5782 from raising [H8800]   H3888 after he hath kneaded [H8800]   H1217 the dough H2556 , until it be leavened [H8800]  .
H3117 In the day H4428 of our king H8269 the princes H2470 have made him sick [H8689]   H2534 with bottles H3196 of wine H4900 ; he stretched out [H8804]   H3027 his hand H3945 with scorners [H8802]  .
H7126 For they have made ready [H8765]   H3820 their heart H8574 like an oven H693 , whiles they lie in wait [H8800]   H644 : their baker [H8802]   H3463 sleepeth H3915 all the night H1242 ; in the morning H1197 it burneth [H8802]   H3852 as a flaming H784 fire.
H2552 They are all hot [H8735]   H8574 as an oven H398 , and have devoured [H8804]   H8199 their judges [H8802]   H4428 ; all their kings H5307 are fallen [H8804]   H7121 : there is none among them that calleth [H8802]   unto me.
H669 Ephraim H1101 , he hath mixed [H8704]   H5971 himself among the people H669 ; Ephraim H5692 is a cake H2015 not turned [H8803]  .
H2114 Strangers [H8801]   H398 have devoured [H8804]   H3581 his strength H3045 , and he knoweth [H8804]   H7872 it not: yea, gray hairs H2236 are here and there [H8804]   H3045 upon him, yet he knoweth [H8804]   not.
H1347 And the pride H3478 of Israel H6030 testifieth [H8804]   H6440 to his face H7725 : and they do not return [H8804]   H3068 to the LORD H430 their God H1245 , nor seek [H8765]   him for all this.
H669 Ephraim H6601 also is like a silly [H8802]   H3123 dove H3820 without heart H7121 : they call [H8804]   H4714 to Egypt H1980 , they go [H8804]   H804 to Assyria.
H3212 When they shall go [H8799]   H6566 , I will spread [H8799]   H7568 my net H3381 upon them; I will bring them down [H8686]   H5775 as the fowls H8064 of the heaven H3256 ; I will chastise [H8686]   H5712 them, as their congregation H8088 hath heard.
H188 Woe H5074 unto them! for they have fled [H8804]   H7701 from me: destruction H6586 unto them! because they have transgressed [H8804]   H6299 against me: though I have redeemed [H8799]   H1696 them, yet they have spoken [H8765]   H3577 lies against me.
H2199 And they have not cried [H8804]   H3820 unto me with their heart H3213 , when they howled [H8686]   H4904 upon their beds H1481 : they assemble [H8709]   H1715 themselves for corn H8492 and wine H5493 , and they rebel [H8799]   against me.
H3256 Though I have bound [H8765]   H2388 and strengthened [H8765]   H2220 their arms H2803 , yet do they imagine [H8762]   H7451 mischief against me.
H7725 They return [H8799]   H5920 , but not to the most High H7423 : they are like a deceitful H7198 bow H8269 : their princes H5307 shall fall [H8799]   H2719 by the sword H2195 for the rage H3956 of their tongue H2097 : this H3933 shall be their derision H776 in the land H4714 of Egypt.
ERV(i) 1 When I would heal Israel, then is the iniquity of Ephraim discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood: and the thief entereth in, [and] the troop of robbers spoileth without. 2 And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now have their own doings beset them about; they are before my face. 3 They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies. 4 They are all adulterers; they are as an oven heated by the baker; he ceaseth to stir [the fire], from the kneading of the dough until it be leavened. 5 On the day of our king the princes made themselves sick with the heat of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners. 6 For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire. 7 They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me. 8 Ephraim, he mixeth himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not turned. 9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth [it] not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, and he knoweth [it] not. 10 And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: yet they have not returned unto the LORD their God, nor sought him, for all this. 11 And Ephraim is like a silly dove, without understanding: they call unto Egypt, they go to Assyria. 12 When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven: I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard. 13 Woe unto them! for they have wandered from me; destruction unto them! for they have trespassed against me: though I would redeem them, yet they have spoken lies against me. 14 And they have not cried unto me with their heart, but they howl upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, they rebel against me. 15 Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me. 16 They return, but not to [him that is] on high; they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
