Zephaniah 3

  1 H1945 Woe H4754 to her that is filthy [H8802]   H1351 and polluted [H8737]   H3238 , to the oppressing [H8802]   H5892 city!

  2 H8085 She obeyed [H8804]   H6963 not the voice H3947 ; she received [H8804]   H4148 not correction H982 ; she trusted [H8804]   H3068 not in the LORD H7126 ; she drew not near [H8804]   H430 to her God.

  3 H8269 Her princes H7130 within H7580 her are roaring [H8802]   H738 lions H8199 ; her judges [H8802]   H6153 are evening H2061 wolves H1633 ; they gnaw not the bones [H8804]   H1242 till the morrow.

  4 H5030 Her prophets H6348 are light [H8802]   H900 and treacherous H582 persons H3548 : her priests H2490 have polluted [H8765]   H6944 the sanctuary H2554 , they have done violence [H8804]   H8451 to the law.

  5 H6662 The just H3068 LORD H7130 is in the midst H6213 thereof; he will not do [H8799]   H5766 iniquity H1242 : every H1242 morning H5414 doth he bring [H8799]   H4941 his judgment H216 to light H5737 , he faileth [H8738]   H5767 not; but the unjust H3045 knoweth [H8802]   H1322 no shame.

  7 H559 I said [H8804]   H3372 , Surely thou wilt fear [H8799]   H3947 me, thou wilt receive [H8799]   H4148 instruction H4583 ; so their dwelling H3772 should not be cut off [H8735]   H834 , howsoever H3605   H6485 I punished [H8804]   H403 them: but H7925 they rose early [H8689]   H7843 , and corrupted [H8689]   H5949 all their doings.

  14 H7442 Sing [H8798]   H1323 , O daughter H6726 of Zion H7321 ; shout [H8685]   H3478 , O Israel H8055 ; be glad [H8798]   H5937 and rejoice [H8798]   H3820 with all the heart H1323 , O daughter H3389 of Jerusalem.

  15 H3068 The LORD H5493 hath taken away [H8689]   H4941 thy judgments H6437 , he hath cast out [H8765]   H341 thine enemy [H8802]   H4428 : the king H3478 of Israel H3068 , even the LORD H7130 , is in the midst H7200 of thee: thou shalt not see [H8799]   H7451 evil any more.

  16 H3117 In that day H559 it shall be said [H8735]   H3389 to Jerusalem H3372 , Fear [H8799]   H6726 thou not: and to Zion H3027 , Let not thine hands H7503 be slack [H8799]  .

  20 H6256 At that time H935 will I bring [H8686]   H6256 you again, even in the time H6908 that I gather [H8763]   H5414 you: for I will make [H8799]   H8034 you a name H8416 and a praise H5971 among all people H776 of the earth H7725 , when I turn back [H8800]   H7622 your captivity H5869 before your eyes H559 , saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD.
