Joshua 6 ויריחו Now Jericho סגרת was straitly shut up ומסגרת was straitly shut up מפני because בני of the children ישׂראל of Israel: אין none יוצא went out, ואין and none בא׃ came in.

1 H3405 ויריחו Now Jericho H5462 סגרת was straitly shut up H5462 ומסגרת was straitly shut up H6440 מפני because H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel: H369 אין none H3318 יוצא went out, H369 ואין and none H935 בא׃ came in.

2 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H3091 יהושׁע Joshua, H7200 ראה See, H5414 נתתי I have given H3027 בידך into thine hand H853 את H3405 יריחו Jericho, H853 ואת H4428 מלכה and the king H1368 גבורי thereof, the mighty H2428 החיל׃ men of valor.

3 H5437 וסבתם And ye shall compass H853 את H5892 העיר the city, H3605 כל all H376 אנשׁי men H4421 המלחמה of war, H5362 הקיף go round about H853 את H5892 העיר the city H6471 פעם once. H259 אחת once. H3541 כה Thus H6213 תעשׂה shalt thou do H8337 שׁשׁת six H3117 ימים׃ days.

4 H7651 ושׁבעה And seven H3548 כהנים priests H5375 ישׂאו shall bear H7651 שׁבעה seven H7782 שׁופרות trumpets H3104 היובלים of rams' horns: H6440 לפני before H727 הארון the ark H3117 וביום day H7637 השׁביעי and the seventh H5437 תסבו ye shall compass H853 את H5892 העיר the city H7651 שׁבע seven H6471 פעמים times, H3548 והכהנים and the priests H8628 יתקעו shall blow H7782 בשׁופרות׃ with the trumpets.

5 H1961 והיה And it shall come to pass, H4900 במשׁך that when they make a long blast H7161 בקרן horn, H3104 היובל with the ram's H8085 בשׁמעכם when ye hear H853 את H6963 קול the sound H7782 השׁופר of the trumpet, H7321 יריעו shall shout H3605 כל all H5971 העם the people H8643 תרועה shout; H1419 גדולה with a great H5307 ונפלה shall fall down H2346 חומת and the wall H5892 העיר of the city H8478 תחתיה flat, H5927 ועלו shall ascend up H5971 העם and the people H376 אישׁ every man H5048 נגדו׃ straight before

6 H7121 ויקרא called H3091 יהושׁע And Joshua H1121 בן the son H5126 נון of Nun H413 אל called H3548 הכהנים the priests, H559 ויאמר and said H413 אלהם unto H5375 שׂאו them, Take up H853 את H727 ארון the ark H1285 הברית of the covenant, H7651 ושׁבעה seven H3548 כהנים priests H5375 ישׂאו and let H7651 שׁבעה seven H7782 שׁופרות trumpets H3104 יובלים of rams' horns H6440 לפני before H727 ארון the ark H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.

7 H559 ויאמרו And he said H413 אל unto H5971 העם the people, H5674 עברו Pass on, H5437 וסבו and compass H853 את H5892 העיר the city, H2502 והחלוץ and let him that is armed H5674 יעבר pass on H6440 לפני before H727 ארון the ark H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.

8 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H559 כאמר had spoken H3091 יהושׁע when Joshua H413 אל unto H5971 העם the people, H7651 ושׁבעה that the seven H3548 הכהנים priests H5375 נשׂאים bearing H7651 שׁבעה the seven H7782 שׁופרות trumpets H3104 היובלים of rams' horns H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה the LORD, H5674 עברו passed on H8628 ותקעו and blew H7782 בשׁופרות with the trumpets: H727 וארון and the ark H1285 ברית of the covenant H3068 יהוה of the LORD H1980 הלך followed H310 אחריהם׃ followed

9 H2502 והחלוץ And the armed men H1980 הלך went H6440 לפני before H3548 הכהנים the priests H8628 תקעו that blew H7782 השׁופרות with the trumpets, H622 והמאסף and the rearward H1980 הלך came H310 אחרי after H727 הארון the ark, H1980 הלוך going on, H8628 ותקוע and blowing H7782 בשׁופרות׃ with the trumpets.

10 H853 ואת H5971 העם the people, H6680 צוה had commanded H3091 יהושׁע And Joshua H559 לאמר saying, H3808 לא Ye shall not H7321 תריעו shout, H3808 ולא nor H8085 תשׁמיעו make any noise H853 את H6963 קולכם your voice, H3808 ולא neither H3318 יצא proceed out H6310 מפיכם of your mouth, H1697 דבר shall word H5704 עד until H3117 יום the day H559 אמרי I bid H413 אליכם H7321 הריעו you shout; H7321 והריעתם׃ then shall ye shout.

11 H5437 ויסב compassed H727 ארון So the ark H3068 יהוה of the LORD H853 את H5892 העיר the city, H5362 הקף going about H6471 פעם once: H259 אחת once: H935 ויבאו and they came H4264 המחנה into the camp, H3885 וילינו and lodged H4264 במחנה׃ in the camp.

12 H7925 וישׁכם rose early H3091 יהושׁע And Joshua H1242 בבקר in the morning, H5375 וישׂאו took up H3548 הכהנים and the priests H853 את H727 ארון the ark H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.

13 H7651 ושׁבעה And seven H3548 הכהנים priests H5375 נשׂאים bearing H7651 שׁבעה seven H7782 שׁופרות trumpets H3104 היבלים of rams' horns H6440 לפני before H727 ארון the ark H3068 יהוה of the LORD H1980 הלכים went on continually, H1980 הלוך went on continually, H8628 ותקעו and blew H7782 בשׁופרות with the trumpets: H2502 והחלוץ and the armed men H1980 הלך went H6440 לפניהם before H622 והמאסף them; but the rearward H1980 הלך came H310 אחרי after H727 ארון the ark H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H1980 הולך going on, H8628 ותקוע and blowing H7782 בשׁופרות׃ with the trumpets.

14 H5437 ויסבו they compassed H853 את H5892 העיר the city H3117 ביום day H8145 השׁני And the second H6471 פעם once, H259 אחת once, H7725 וישׁבו and returned H4264 המחנה into the camp: H3541 כה so H6213 עשׂו they did H8337 שׁשׁת six H3117 ימים׃ days.

15 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H3117 ביום day, H7637 השׁביעי on the seventh H7925 וישׁכמו that they rose early H7837 כעלות of the day, H7837 השׁחר H5437 ויסבו and compassed H853 את H5892 העיר the city H4941 כמשׁפט manner H2088 הזה after the same H7651 שׁבע seven H6471 פעמים times: H7535 רק only H3117 ביום day H1931 ההוא H5437 סבבו they compassed H853 את H5892 העיר the city H7651 שׁבע seven H6471 פעמים׃ times.

16 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H6471 בפעם time, H7637 השׁביעית at the seventh H8628 תקעו blew H3548 הכהנים when the priests H7782 בשׁופרות with the trumpets, H559 ויאמר said H3091 יהושׁע Joshua H413 אל unto H5971 העם the people, H7321 הריעו Shout; H3588 כי for H5414 נתן hath given H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 לכם את H5892 העיר׃ you the city.

17 H1961 והיתה shall be H5892 העיר And the city H2764 חרם accursed, H1931 היא it, H3605 וכל and all H834 אשׁר that H3068 בה ליהוה therein, to the LORD: H7535 רק only H7343 רחב Rahab H2181 הזונה the harlot H2421 תחיה shall live, H1931 היא she H3605 וכל and all H834 אשׁר that H854 אתה with H1004 בבית her in the house, H3588 כי because H2244 החבאתה she hid H853 את H4397 המלאכים the messengers H834 אשׁר that H7971 שׁלחנו׃ we sent.

18 H7535 ורק H859 אתם And ye, H8104 שׁמרו keep H4480 מן from H2764 החרם the accursed thing, H6435 פן lest H2763 תחרימו ye make accursed, H3947 ולקחתם when ye take H4480 מן of H2764 החרם the accursed thing, H7760 ושׂמתם and make H853 את H4264 מחנה the camp H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H2764 לחרם a curse, H5916 ועכרתם and trouble H853 אותו׃

19 H3605 וכל But all H3701 כסף the silver, H2091 וזהב and gold, H3627 וכלי and vessels H5178 נחשׁת of brass H1270 וברזל and iron, H6944 קדשׁ consecrated H1931 הוא H3068 ליהוה unto the LORD: H214 אוצר into the treasury H3068 יהוה of the LORD. H935 יבוא׃ they shall come

20 H7321 וירע shouted H5971 העם So the people H8628 ויתקעו when blew H7782 בשׁפרות with the trumpets: H1961 ויהי and it came to pass, H8085 כשׁמע heard H5971 העם when the people H853 את H6963 קול the sound H7782 השׁופר of the trumpet, H7321 ויריעו shouted H5971 העם and the people H8643 תרועה shout, H1419 גדולה with a great H5307 ותפל fell down H2346 החומה that the wall H8478 תחתיה flat, H5927 ויעל went up H5971 העם so that the people H5892 העירה into the city, H376 אישׁ every man H5048 נגדו straight before H3920 וילכדו him, and they took H853 את H5892 העיר׃ the city.

21 H2763 ויחרימו And they utterly destroyed H853 את H3605 כל all H834 אשׁר that H5892 בעיר in the city, H376 מאישׁ both man H5704 ועד H802 אשׁה and woman, H5288 מנער young H5704 ועד H2205 זקן and old, H5704 ועד H7794 שׁור and ox, H7716 ושׂה and sheep, H2543 וחמור and ass, H6310 לפי with the edge H2719 חרב׃ of the sword.

22 H8147 ולשׁנים unto the two H582 האנשׁים H7270 המרגלים that had spied out H853 את H776 הארץ the country, H559 אמר had said H3091 יהושׁע But Joshua H935 באו Go into H1004 בית house, H802 האשׁה the woman, H2181 הזונה H3318 והוציאו and bring out H8033 משׁם thence H853 את H802 האשׁה H853 ואת H3605 כל and all H834 אשׁר that H834 לה כאשׁר she hath, as H7650 נשׁבעתם׃ ye swore

23 H935 ויבאו went in, H5288 הנערים And the young men H7270 המרגלים that were spies H3318 ויציאו and brought out H853 את H7343 רחב Rahab, H853 ואת H1 אביה and her father, H853 ואת H517 אמה and her mother, H853 ואת H251 אחיה and her brethren, H853 ואת H3605 כל and all H834 אשׁר that H853 לה ואת H3605 כל all H4940 משׁפחותיה her kindred, H3318 הוציאו she had; and they brought out H3240 ויניחום H2351 מחוץ them without H4264 למחנה the camp H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.

24 H5892 והעיר the city H8313 שׂרפו And they burnt H784 באשׁ with fire, H3605 וכל and all H834 אשׁר that H7535 בה רק therein: only H3701 הכסף the silver, H2091 והזהב and the gold, H3627 וכלי and the vessels H5178 הנחשׁת of brass H1270 והברזל and of iron, H5414 נתנו they put H214 אוצר into the treasury H1004 בית of the house H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.

25 H853 ואת H7343 רחב Rahab H2181 הזונה the harlot H853 ואת H1004 בית household, H1 אביה alive, and her father's H853 ואת H3605 כל and all H834 אשׁר that H2421 לה החיה saved H3091 יהושׁע And Joshua H3427 ותשׁב she had; and she dwelleth H7130 בקרב in H3478 ישׂראל Israel H5704 עד unto H3117 היום day; H2088 הזה this H3588 כי because H2244 החביאה she hid H853 את H4397 המלאכים the messengers, H834 אשׁר which H7971 שׁלח sent H3091 יהושׁע Joshua H7270 לרגל to spy out H853 את H3405 יריחו׃ Jericho.

26 H7650 וישׁבע adjured H3091 יהושׁע And Joshua H6256 בעת time, H1931 ההיא at that H559 לאמר saying, H779 ארור Cursed H376 האישׁ the man H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה the LORD, H834 אשׁר that H6965 יקום riseth up H1129 ובנה and buildeth H853 את H5892 העיר city H2063 הזאת this H853 את H3405 יריחו Jericho: H1060 בבכרו thereof in his firstborn, H3245 ייסדנה he shall lay the foundation H6810 ובצעירו and in his youngest H5324 יציב shall he set up H1817 דלתיה׃ the gates

27 H1961 ויהי was H3068 יהוה So the LORD H854 את with H3091 יהושׁע Joshua; H1961 ויהי was H8089 שׁמעו and his fame H3605 בכל throughout all H776 הארץ׃ the country.
