1 Chronicles 10 Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.

1 H6430 Now the Philistines H3898 fought H5921 against H3478 Israel; H376 and the men H3478 of Israel H5127 fled H6440 from before H6430 the Philistines, H5307 and fell H2491 down slain H2022 in mount H1533 Gilboa.

2 H6430 And the Philistines H1692 followed H5221 hard H310 after H7586 Saul, H310 and after H1121 his sons; H6430 and the Philistines H5221 slew H3129 Jonathan, H41 and Abinadab, H4444 and Malchishua, H1121 the sons H7586 of Saul.

3 H4421 And the battle H3513 went sore H5921 against H7586 Saul, H3384 and the archers H7198 H4672 hit H2342 him, and he was wounded H3384 of the archers.

4 H559 Then said H7586 Saul H5375 to his armor bearer, H3627 H8025 Draw H2719 your sword, H1856 and thrust H6435 me through therewith; lest H428 these H6189 uncircumcised H935 come H5953 and abuse H5375 me. But his armor bearer H3627 H14 would H3966 not; for he was sore H3372 afraid. H7586 So Saul H3947 took H2719 a sword, H5307 and fell on it.

5 H5375 And when his armor bearer H3627 H7200 saw H7586 that Saul H4191 was dead, H5307 he fell H1571 likewise H5921 on H2719 the sword, H4191 and died.

6 H7586 So Saul H4191 died, H7969 and his three H1121 sons, H3605 and all H1004 his house H4191 died H3162 together.

7 H3605 And when all H376 the men H3478 of Israel H6010 that were in the valley H7200 saw H5127 that they fled, H7586 and that Saul H1121 and his sons H4191 were dead, H5800 then they forsook H5892 their cities, H5127 and fled: H6430 and the Philistines H935 came H3427 and dwelled in them.

8 H1961 And it came H4283 to pass on the morrow, H6430 when the Philistines H935 came H6584 to strip H2491 the slain, H4672 that they found H7586 Saul H1121 and his sons H5307 fallen H2022 in mount H1533 Gilboa.

9 H6584 And when they had stripped H5375 him, they took H7218 his head, H3627 and his armor, H7971 and sent H776 into the land H6430 of the Philistines H5439 round H1319 about, to carry H1319 tidings H6091 to their idols, H5971 and to the people.

10 H7760 And they put H3627 his armor H1004 in the house H430 of their gods, H8628 and fastened H1538 his head H1004 in the temple H1712 of Dagon.

11 H3605 And when all H3003 Jabeshgilead H1568 H8085 heard H3605 all H6430 that the Philistines H6213 had done H7586 to Saul,

12 H6965 They arose, H3605 all H2428 the valiant H376 men, H5375 and took H1480 away the body H7586 of Saul, H1480 and the bodies H1121 of his sons, H935 and brought H3003 them to Jabesh, H6912 and buried H6106 their bones H8478 under H424 the oak H3003 in Jabesh, H6684 and fasted H7651 seven H3117 days.

13 H7586 So Saul H4191 died H4604 for his transgression H834 which H4603 he committed H3068 against the LORD, H5921 even against H1697 the word H3068 of the LORD, H834 which H8104 he kept H1571 not, and also H7592 for asking H178 counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, H1875 to inquire of it;

14 H1875 And inquired H3068 not of the LORD: H4191 therefore he slew H5437 him, and turned H4410 the kingdom H1732 to David H1121 the son H3448 of Jesse.
