John 19:1-24

  2 G2532 And G4757 the soldiers G4120 [G5660] platted G4735 a crown G1537 of G173 thorns, G2007 [G5656] and put it on G846 his G2776 head, G2532 and G4016 [G5627] they put on G846 him G4210 a purple G2440 robe,

  3 G2532 And G3004 [G5707] said, G5463 [G5720] Hail, G935 King G2453 of the Judeans! G2532 and G1325 [G5707] they smote G846 him G4475 with the palms of their hands.

  4 G4091 Pilate G3767 therefore G1831 [G5627] went G1854 forth G3825 again, G2532 and G3004 [G5719] saith G846 to them, G2396 Behold, G71 [G5719] I lead G846 him G1854 forth G5213 to you, G2443 that G1097 [G5632] ye may know G3754 that G2147 [G5719] I find G3762 no G156 fault G1722 in G846 him.

  5 G3767 Then G2424 Jesus G1831 [G5627] came G1854 forth, G5409 [G5723] wearing G4735 the crown G174 of thorns, G2532 and G4210 the purple G2440 robe. G2532 And G3004 [G5719] Pilate saith G846 to them, G2396 Behold G444 the man!

  6 G3753 When G3767 therefore G749 the chief priests G2532 and G5257 officers G1492 [G5627] saw G846 him, G2905 [G5656] they cried out, G3004 [G5723] saying, G4717 [G5657] Impale G4717 [G5657] him, impale G4091 him. Pilate G3004 [G5719] saith G846 to them, G2983 [G5628] Take G5210 ye G846 him, G2532 and G4717 [G5657] impale G1063 him: for G1473 I G2147 [G5719] find G3756 no G156 fault G1722 in G846 him.

  7 G2453 The Judeans G611 [G5662] answered G846 him, G2249 We G2192 [G5719] have G3551 a law, G2532 and G2596 by G2257 our G3551 law G3784 [G5719] he ought G599 [G5629] to die, G3754 because G4160 [G5656] he made G1438 himself G5207 the Son G2316 of God.

  8 G3753 When G4091 Pilate G3767 therefore G191 [G5656] heard G5126 that G3056 saying, G5399 0 he was G3123 the more G5399 [G5675] afraid;

  9 G2532 And G1525 [G5627] went G3825 again G1519 into G4232 the judgment hall, G2532 and G3004 [G5719] saith G2424 to Jesus, G4159 Where G1488 [G5748] art G4771 thou from? G1161 But G2424 Jesus G1325 [G5656] gave G846 him G3756 no G612 answer.

  10 G3767 Then G3004 [G5719] saith G4091 Pilate G846 to him, G2980 [G5719] Speakest thou G3756 not G1698 to me? G1492 [G5758] knowest thou G3756 not G3754 that G2192 [G5719] I have G1849 authority G4717 [G5658] to impale G4571 thee, G2532 and G2192 [G5719] have G1849 authority G630 0 to set G4571 thee G630 [G5658] loose?

  11 G2424 Jesus G611 [G5662] answered, G2192 [G5707] { Thou couldest have G3756 no G1849 authority G3762 G2596 against G1700 me, G1508 except G2258 [G5713] it were G1325 [G5772] given G4671 thee G509 from above: G5124 G1223 therefore G3860 [G5723] he that delivered G3165 me G4671 to thee G2192 [G5719] hath G3187 the greater G266 sin.}

  12 G1537 And from G5127 then on G4091 Pilate G2212 [G5707] sought G630 0 to set G846 him G630 [G5658] loose: G1161 but G2453 the Judeans G2896 [G5707] cried out, G3004 [G5723] saying, G1437 If G630 0 thou set G5126 this man G630 [G5661] loose, G1488 [G5748] thou art G3756 not G2541 Caesar's G5384 friend: G3956 Whoever G4160 [G5723] maketh G846 himself G935 a king G483 [G5719] speaketh against G2541 Caesar.

  13 G4091 When Pilate G3767 therefore G191 [G5660] heard G5126 that G3056 saying, G71 [G5627] he led G2424 Jesus G1854 forth, G2532 and G2523 [G5656] sat down G1909 on G968 the judgment seat G1519 in G5117 a place G3004 [G5746] that is called G3038 the Pavement, G1161 but G1447 in the Hebrew, G1042 Gabbatha.

  14 G1161 And G2258 [G5713] it was G3904 the preparation G3957 of the passover, G1161 and G5616 about G1623 the sixth G5610 hour: G2532 and G3004 [G5719] he saith G2453 to the Judeans, G2396 Behold G5216 your G935 King!

  15 G1161 But G2905 [G5656] they cried out, G142 [G5657] Away with G142 [G5657] him, away with G4717 [G5657] him, impale G846 him. G4091 Pilate G3004 [G5719] saith G846 to them, G4717 [G5692] Shall I impale G5216 your G935 King? G749 The chief priests G611 [G5662] answered, G2192 [G5719] We have G3756 no G935 king G1508 but G2541 Caesar.

  16 G5119 Then G3767 therefore G3860 [G5656] he delivered G846 him G846 to them G2443 to G4717 [G5686] be impaled. G1161 And G3880 [G5627] they took G2424 Jesus, G2532 and G520 [G5627] led him away.

  17 G2532 And G941 [G5723] he bearing G846 his G4716 stake G1831 [G5627] went forth G1519 into G5117 a place G3004 [G5746] called G2898 the place of a skull, G3739 which G3004 [G5743] is called G1447 in the Hebrew G1115 Golgotha:

  18 G3699 Where G4717 [G5656] they impaled G846 him, G2532 and G1417 two G243 others G3326 with G846 him, G2532 G1782 on either side one, G1161 and G2424 Jesus G3319 in the midst.

  19 G1161 G2532 And G4091 Pilate G1125 [G5656] wrote G5102 a title, G2532 and G5087 [G5656] put G1909 it on G4716 the stake. G1161 And G1125 [G5772] the writing G2258 [G5713] was, G2424 JESUS G3480 OF NAZARETH G935 THE KING G2453 OF THE JUDEANS.

  20 G4183 Many G2453 of the Judeans G3767 then G314 [G5627] read G5126 this G5102 title: G3754 for G5117 the place G3699 where G2424 Jesus G4717 [G5681] was impaled G2258 [G5713] was G1451 near G4172 to the city: G2532 and G2258 [G5713] it was G1125 [G5772] written G1447 in Hebrew, G1676 Hellenic, G4515 and Roman.

  21 G3767 Then G3004 [G5707] said G749 the chief priests G2453 of the Judeans G4091 to Pilate, G1125 [G5720] Write G3361 not, G935 The King G2453 of the Judeans; G235 but G3754 that G1565 he G2036 [G5627] said, G1510 [G5748] I am G935 King G2453 of the Judeans.

  22 G4091 Pilate G611 [G5662] answered, G3739 What G1125 [G5758] I have written G1125 [G5758] I have written.

  23 G3767 Then G4757 the soldiers, G3753 when G4717 [G5656] they had impaled G2424 Jesus, G2983 [G5627] took G846 his G2440 garments, G2532 and G4160 [G5656] made G5064 four G3313 parts, G1538 to every G4757 soldier G3313 a part; G2532 and also G5509 his coat: G1161 now G5509 the coat G2258 [G5713] was G729 without seam, G5307 woven G1537 from G509 the top G1223 G3650 throughout.

  24 G2036 [G5627] They said G3767 therefore G4314 among G240 themselves, G4977 0 Let us G3361 not G4977 [G5661] rend G846 it, G235 but G2975 [G5632] cast lots G4012 for G846 it, G5101 whose G2071 [G5704] it shall be: G2443 that G1124 the scripture G4137 [G5686] might be fulfilled, G3588 which G3004 [G5723] saith, G1266 [G5668] They parted G3450 my G2440 raiment G1438 among them, G2532 and G1909 for G3450 my G2441 vesture G906 [G5627] they cast G2819 lots.
