Jeremiah 24 The LORD showed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set at the face of the temple of the LORD, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.

1 H3068 The LORD H7200 [H8689] showed H8147 me, and, behold, two H1736 baskets H8384 of figs H3259 [H8716] were set H6440 at the face of H1964 the temple H3068 of the LORD, H310 after H5019 Nebuchadnezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon H1540 [H8687] had carried away captive H3204 Jeconiah H1121 the son H3079 of Jehoiakim H4428 king H3063 of Judah, H8269 and the princes H3063 of Judah, H2796 with the craftsmen H4525 and smiths, H3389 from Jerusalem, H935 [H8686] and had brought H894 them to Babylon.

2 H259 One H1731 basket H3966 had very H2896 good H8384 figs, H8384 even like the figs H1073 that are first ripe: H259 and the other H1731 basket H3966 had very H7451 bad H8384 figs, H398 [H8735] which could not be eaten, H7455 they were so bad.

3 H559 [H8799] Then said H3068 the LORD H7200 [H8802] to me, What seest H3414 thou, Jeremiah? H559 [H8799] And I said, H8384 Figs; H2896 the good H8384 figs, H3966 very H2896 good; H7451 and the bad, H3966 very H7451 bad, H398 [H8735] that cannot be eaten, H7455 they are so bad.

4 H1697 Again the word H3068 of the LORD H559 [H8800] came to me, saying,

5 H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD, H430 the God H3478 of Israel; H2896 Like these good H8384 figs, H5234 [H8686] so will I acknowledge H1546 them that are carried away captive H3063 of Judah, H7971 [H8765] whom I have sent H4725 out of this place H776 into the land H3778 of the Chaldeans H2896 for their good.

6 H7760 [H8804] For I will set H5869 my eyes H2896 upon them for good, H7725 [H8689] and I will bring them again H776 to this land: H1129 [H8804] and I will build H2040 [H8799] them, and not pull them down; H5193 [H8804] and I will plant H5428 [H8799] them, and not pluck them up.

7 H5414 [H8804] And I will give H3820 them an heart H3045 [H8800] to know H3068 me, that I am the LORD: H5971 and they shall be my people, H430 and I will be their God: H7725 [H8799] for they shall return H3820 to me with their whole heart.

8 H7451 And as the bad H8384 figs, H398 [H8735] which cannot be eaten, H7455 they are so bad; H559 [H8804] surely thus saith H3068 the LORD, H5414 [H8799] So will I give H6667 Zedekiah H4428 the king H3063 of Judah, H8269 and his princes, H7611 and the remnant H3389 of Jerusalem, H7604 [H8737] that remain H776 in this land, H3427 [H8802] and them that dwell H776 in the land H4714 of Egypt:

9 H5414 [H8804] And I will give H2189 H2113 [H8675] them to be removed H4467 into all the kingdoms H776 of the earth H7451 for their hurt, H2781 to be a reproach H4912 and a proverb, H8148 a taunt H7045 and a curse, H4725 in all places H5080 [H8686] where I shall drive them.

10 H7971 [H8765] And I will send H2719 the sword, H7458 the famine, H1698 and the pestilence, H8552 [H8800] among them, till they are consumed H127 from off the soil H5414 [H8804] that I gave H1 to them and to their fathers.
