Jeremiah 25 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon;

1 H1697 The word H3414 that came to Jeremiah H5971 concerning all the people H3063 of Judah H7243 in the fourth H8141 year H3079 of Jehoiakim H1121 the son H2977 of Josiah H4428 king H3063 of Judah, H7224 that was the first H8141 year H5019 of Nebuchadnezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon;

2 H3414 Which Jeremiah H5030 the prophet H1696 [H8765] spoke H5971 to all the people H3063 of Judah, H3427 [H8802] and to all the inhabitants H3389 of Jerusalem, H559 [H8800] saying,

3 H7969 H6240 From the thirteenth H8141 year H2977 of Josiah H1121 the son H526 of Amon H4428 king H3063 of Judah, H3117 even to this day, H7969 that is the three H6242 and twentieth H8141 year, H1697 the word H3068 of the LORD H1696 [H8762] hath come to me, and I have spoken H7925 [H8687] to you, rising early H1696 [H8763] and speaking; H8085 [H8804] but ye have not hearkened.

4 H3068 And the LORD H7971 [H8804] hath sent H5650 to you all his servants H5030 the prophets, H7925 [H8687] rising early H7971 [H8800] and sending H8085 [H8804] them; but ye have not hearkened, H5186 [H8689] nor inclined H241 your ear H8085 [H8800] to hear.

5 H559 [H8800] They said, H7725 [H8798] Turn ye again H376 now every one H7451 from his evil H1870 way, H7455 and from the evil H4611 of your doings, H3427 [H8798] and dwell H127 in the soil H3068 that the LORD H5414 [H8804] hath given H1 to you and to your fathers H5704 for H5769 ever H5769 and ever:

6 H3212 [H8799] And go H310 not after H312 other H430 gods H5647 [H8800] to serve H7812 [H8692] them, and to worship H3707 [H8686] them, and provoke me not to anger H4639 with the works H3027 of your hands; H7489 [H8686] and I will do you no harm.

7 H8085 [H8804] Yet ye have not hearkened H5002 [H8803] to me, saith H3068 the LORD; H3707 [H8687] that ye might provoke me to anger H4639 with the works H3027 of your hands H7451 to your own harm.

8 H559 [H8804] Therefore thus saith H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts; H8085 [H8804] Because ye have not heard H1697 my words,

9 H7971 [H8802] Behold, I will send H3947 [H8804] and take H4940 all the families H6828 of the north, H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD, H5019 and Nebuchadnezzar H4428 the king H894 of Babylon, H5650 my servant, H935 [H8689] and will bring H776 them against this land, H3427 [H8802] and against its inhabitants, H1471 and against all these nations H5439 on every side, H2763 [H8689] and will utterly seclude H7760 [H8804] them, and make H8047 them an horror, H8322 and an hissing, H5769 and perpetual H2723 dry places.

10 H6 [H8689] Moreover I will take H6963 from them the voice H8342 of mirth, H6963 and the voice H8057 of gladness, H6963 the voice H2860 of the bridegroom, H6963 and the voice H3618 of the bride, H6963 the sound H7347 of the millstones, H216 and the light H5216 of the candle.

11 H776 And this whole land H2723 shall be a dry place, H8047 and an astonishment; H1471 and these nations H5647 [H8804] shall serve H4428 the king H894 of Babylon H7657 seventy H8141 years.

12 H7657 And it shall come to pass, when seventy H8141 years H4390 [H8800] are accomplished, H6485 [H8799] that I will punish H4428 the king H894 of Babylon, H1471 and that nation, H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD, H5771 for their perversity, H776 and the land H3778 of the Chaldeans, H7760 [H8804] and will make H5769 it perpetual H8077 desolations.

13 H935 [H8689] And I will bring H776 upon that land H1697 all my words H1696 [H8765] which I have pronounced H3789 [H8803] against it, even all that is written H5612 in this book, H3414 which Jeremiah H5012 [H8738] hath prophesied H1471 against all the nations.

14 H7227 For many H1471 nations H1419 and great H4428 kings H5647 [H8804] shall be served H7999 [H8765] by them also: and I will recompense H6467 them according to their deeds, H4639 and according to the works H3027 of their own hands.

15 H559 [H8804] For thus saith H3068 the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H3947 [H8798] to me; Take H3196 the wine H3563 cup H2534 of this hot anger H3027 at my hand, H1471 and cause all the nations, H7971 [H8802] to whom I send H8248 [H8689] thee, to drink it.

16 H8354 [H8804] And they shall drink, H1607 [H8707] and be moved, H1984 [H8703] and go mad, H6440 because H2719 of the sword H7971 [H8802] that I will send among them.

17 H3947 [H8799] Then I took H3563 the cup H3068 at the LORD'S H3027 hand, H1471 and made all the nations H8248 [H8686] to drink, H3068 to whom the LORD H7971 [H8804] had sent me:

18 H3389 That is, Jerusalem, H5892 and the cities H3063 of Judah, H4428 and its kings, H8269 and its princes, H5414 [H8800] to make H2723 them a dry place, H8047 an horror, H8322 an hissing, H7045 and a curse; H3117 as it is this day;

19 H6547 Pharaoh H4428 king H4714 of Egypt, H5650 and his servants, H8269 and his princes, H5971 and all his people;

20 H6153 And all the mixed H4428 people, and all the kings H776 of the land H5780 of Uz, H4428 and all the kings H776 of the land H6430 of the Philistines, H831 and Ashkelon, H5804 and Azzah, H6138 and Ekron, H7611 and the remnant H795 of Ashdod,

21 H123 Edom, H4124 and Moab, H1121 and the sons H5983 of Ammon,

22 H4428 And all the kings H6865 of Tyre, H4428 and all the kings H6721 of Zidon, H4428 and the kings H339 of the isles H5676 which are beyond H3220 the sea,

23 H1719 Dedan, H8485 and Tema, H938 and Buz, H7112 [H8803] and all that are in the utmost H6285 corners,

24 H4428 And all the kings H6152 of Arabia, H4428 and all the kings H6153 of the mixed people H7931 [H8802] that dwell H4057 in the desert,

25 H4428 And all the kings H2174 of Zimri, H4428 and all the kings H5867 of Elam, H4428 and all the kings H4074 of the Medes,

26 H4428 And all the kings H6828 of the north, H7350 far H7138 and near, H376 one H251 with another, H4467 and all the kingdoms H776 of the earth, H6440 which are upon the face H127 of the soil: H4428 and the king H8347 of Sheshach H8354 [H8799] shall drink H310 after them.

27 H559 [H8804] Therefore thou shalt say H559 [H8804] to them, Thus saith H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts, H430 the God H3478 of Israel; H8354 [H8798] Drink H7937 [H8798] ye, and be drunk, H7006 [H8798] and vomit, H5307 [H8798] and fall, H6965 [H8799] and rise H6440 no more, because H2719 of the sword H7971 [H8802] which I will send among you.

28 H3985 [H8762] And it shall be, if they refuse H3947 [H8800] to take H3563 the cup H3027 at thine hand H8354 [H8800] to drink, H559 [H8804] then shalt thou say H559 [H8804] to them, Thus saith H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts; H8354 [H8800] Ye shall certainly H8354 [H8799] drink.

29 H2490 [H8688] For, lo, I begin H7489 [H8687] to bring evil H5892 on the city H7121 [H8738] which is called H8034 by my name, H5352 [H8736] and should ye be utterly H5352 [H8735] unpunished? H5352 [H8736] Ye shall not be unpunished: H7121 [H8802] for I will call H2719 for a sword H3427 [H8802] upon all the inhabitants H776 of the earth, H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts.

30 H5012 [H8735] Therefore prophesy H1697 thou against them all these words, H559 [H8804] and say H3068 to them, The LORD H7580 [H8799] shall roar H4791 from on high, H5414 [H8799] and utter H6963 his voice H6944 from his holy H4583 habitation; H7580 [H8800] he shall mightily H7580 [H8799] roar H5116 upon his habitation; H6030 [H8799] he shall give H1959 a shout, H1869 [H8802] as they that tread H3427 [H8802] the grapes, against all the inhabitants H776 of the earth.

31 H7588 A noise H935 [H8804] shall come H7097 even to the ends H776 of the earth; H3068 for the LORD H7379 hath a controversy H1471 with the nations, H8199 [H8737] he will plead H1320 with all flesh; H5414 [H8804] he will give H7563 them that are wicked H2719 to the sword, H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD.

32 H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts, H7451 Behold, evil H3318 [H8802] shall go forth H1471 from nation H1471 to nation, H1419 and a great H5591 whirlwind H5782 [H8735] shall be raised H3411 from the ends H776 of the earth.

33 H2491 And the slain H3068 of the LORD H3117 shall be at that day H7097 from one end H776 of the earth H7097 even to the other end H776 of the earth: H5594 [H8735] they shall not be lamented, H622 [H8735] neither gathered, H6912 [H8735] nor buried; H1828 they shall be refuse H6440 upon H127 the soil.

34 H3213 [H8685] Wail, H7462 [H8802] ye shepherds, H2199 [H8798] and cry; H6428 [H8690] and wallow H117 yourselves in the ashes, ye chief H6629 of the flock: H3117 for the days H2873 [H8800] of your slaughter H8600 and of your dispersions H4390 [H8804] are accomplished; H5307 [H8804] and ye shall fall H2532 like a pleasant H3627 vessel.

35 H7462 [H8802] And the shepherds H4498 shall have no way H6 [H8804] to flee, H117 nor the chief H6629 of the flock H6413 to escape.

36 H6963 A voice H6818 of the shriek H7462 [H8802] of the shepherds, H3215 and a wailing H117 of the chief H6629 of the flock, H3068 shall be heard: for the LORD H7703 [H8802] hath laid waste H4830 their pasture.

37 H7965 And the peaceable H4999 habitations H1826 [H8738] are cut down H6440 because H2740 of the burning H639 anger H3068 of the LORD.

38 H5800 [H8804] He hath forsaken H5520 his den, H3715 as the lion: H776 for their land H8047 is desolate H6440 because H2740 of the burning H3238 [H8802] of the oppressor, H6440 and because H2740 of his burning H639 anger.
