  2 H1732 And David H3045 perceived [H8799]   H3068 that the LORD H3559 had confirmed [H8689]   H4428 him king H3478 over Israel H4438 , for his kingdom H5375 was lifted up [H8738]   H4605 on high H5971 , because of his people H3478 Israel.
  3 H1732 And David H3947 took [H8799]   H802 more wives H3389 at Jerusalem H1732 : and David H3205 begat [H8686]   H1121 more sons H1323 and daughters.
  4 H8034 Now these are the names H3205 of his children [H8803]   H3389 which he had in Jerusalem H8051 ; Shammua H7727 , and Shobab H5416 , Nathan H8010 , and Solomon,
  5 H2984 And Ibhar H474 , and Elishua H467 , and Elpalet,
  6 H5052 And Nogah H5298 , and Nepheg H3309 , and Japhia,
  7 H476 And Elishama H1182 , and Beeliada H467 , and Eliphalet.
  8 H6430 And when the Philistines H8085 heard [H8799]   H1732 that David H4886 was anointed [H8738]   H4428 king H3478 over all Israel H6430 , all the Philistines H5927 went up [H8799]   H1245 to seek [H8763]   H1732 David H1732 . And David H8085 heard [H8799]   H3318 of it, and went out [H8799]   H6440 against them.
  9 H6430 And the Philistines H935 came [H8804]   H6584 and spread [H8799]   H6010 themselves in the valley H7497 of Rephaim.
  10 H1732 And David H7592 enquired [H8799]   H430 of God H559 , saying [H8800]   H5927 , Shall I go up [H8799]   H6430 against the Philistines H5414 ? and wilt thou deliver [H8804]   H3027 them into mine hand H3068 ? And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H5927 unto him, Go up [H8798]   H5414 ; for I will deliver [H8804]   H3027 them into thine hand.
  11 H5927 So they came up [H8799]   H1188 to Baalperazim H1732 ; and David H5221 smote [H8686]   H1732 them there. Then David H559 said [H8799]   H430 , God H6555 hath broken in [H8804]   H341 upon mine enemies [H8802]   H3027 by mine hand H6556 like the breaking forth H4325 of waters H7121 : therefore they called [H8804]   H8034 the name H4725 of that place H1188 Baalperazim.
  12 H5800 And when they had left [H8799]   H430 their gods H1732 there, David H559 gave a commandment [H8799]   H8313 , and they were burned [H8735]   H784 with fire.
  13 H6430 And the Philistines H3254 yet again [H8686]   H6584 spread themselves abroad [H8799]   H6010 in the valley.
  14 H1732 Therefore David H7592 enquired [H8799]   H430 again of God H430 ; and God H559 said [H8799]   H5927 unto him, Go not up [H8799]   H310 after H5437 them; turn away [H8685]   H935 from them, and come [H8804]   H4136 upon them over against H1057 the mulberry trees.
  15 H8085 And it shall be, when thou shalt hear [H8800]   H6963 a sound H6807 of going H7218 in the tops H1057 of the mulberry trees H3318 , that then thou shalt go out [H8799]   H4421 to battle H430 : for God H3318 is gone forth [H8804]   H6440 before H5221 thee to smite [H8687]   H4264 the host H6430 of the Philistines.
  16 H1732 David H6213 therefore did [H8799]   H430 as God H6680 commanded [H8765]   H5221 him: and they smote [H8686]   H4264 the host H6430 of the Philistines H1391 from Gibeon H1507 even to Gazer.
  17 H8034 And the fame H1732 of David H3318 went out [H8799]   H776 into all lands H3068 ; and the LORD H5414 brought [H8804]   H6343 the fear H1471 of him upon all nations.

  2 H3045 וידע perceived H1732 דויד And David H3588 כי that H3559 הכינו had confirmed H3068 יהוה the LORD H4428 למלך him king H5921 על over H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H3588 כי for H5375 נשׂאת was lifted up H4605 למעלה on high, H4438 מלכותו his kingdom H5668 בעבור because of H5971 עמו his people H3478 ישׂראל׃ Israel.
  3 H3947 ויקח took H1732 דויד And David H5750 עוד more H802 נשׁים wives H3389 בירושׁלם at Jerusalem: H3205 ויולד begot H1732 דויד and David H5750 עוד more H1121 בנים sons H1323 ובנות׃ and daughters.
  4 H428 ואלה Now these H8034 שׁמות the names H3205 הילודים of children H834 אשׁר which H1961 היו he had H3389 לו בירושׁלם in Jerusalem; H8051 שׁמוע Shammua, H7727 ושׁובב and Shobab, H5416 נתן Nathan, H8010 ושׁלמה׃ and Solomon,
  5 H2984 ויבחר And Ibhar, H474 ואלישׁוע and Elishua, H467 ואלפלט׃ and Elpalet,
  6 H5052 ונגה And Nogah, H5298 ונפג and Nepheg, H3309 ויפיע׃ and Japhia,

  8 H8085 וישׁמעו heard H6430 פלשׁתים And when the Philistines H3588 כי that H4886 נמשׁח was anointed H1732 דויד David H4428 למלך king H5921 על over H3605 כל all H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H5927 ויעלו went up H3605 כל all H6430 פלשׁתים the Philistines H1245 לבקשׁ to seek H853 את   H1732 דויד David. H8085 וישׁמע heard H1732 דויד And David H3318 ויצא and went out H6440 לפניהם׃ against
  9 H6430 ופלשׁתים And the Philistines H935 באו came H6584 ויפשׁטו and spread H6010 בעמק themselves in the valley H7497 רפאים׃ of Rephaim.
  10 H7592 וישׁאל inquired H1732 דויד And David H430 באלהים of God, H559 לאמר saying, H5927 האעלה Shall I go up H5921 על against H6430 פלשׁתיים the Philistines? H5414 ונתתם and wilt thou deliver H3027 בידי them into mine hand? H559 ויאמר said H3068 לו יהוה And the LORD H5927 עלה unto him, Go up; H5414 ונתתים for I will deliver H3027 בידך׃ them into thine hand.
  11 H5927 ויעלו So they came up H1188 בבעל פרצים to Baal-perazim; H5221 ויכם smote H8033 שׁם them there. H1732 דויד and David H559 ויאמר said, H1732 דויד Then David H6555 פרץ hath broken in H430 האלהים God H853 את   H341 אויבי upon mine enemies H3027 בידי by mine hand H6556 כפרץ like the breaking forth H4325 מים of waters: H5921 על therefore H3651 כן therefore H7121 קראו they called H8034 שׁם the name H4725 המקום place H1931 ההוא of that H1188 בעל פרצים׃ Baal-perazim.
  12 H5800 ויעזבו And when they had left H8033 שׁם there, H853 את   H430 אלהיהם their gods H559 ויאמר gave a commandment, H1732 דויד David H8313 וישׂרפו and they were burned H784 באשׁ׃ with fire.
  13 H3254 ויסיפו again H5750 עוד yet H6430 פלשׁתים And the Philistines H6584 ויפשׁטו spread themselves abroad H6010 בעמק׃ in the valley.
  14 H7592 וישׁאל inquired H5750 עוד again H1732 דויד Therefore David H430 באלהים of God; H559 ויאמר said H430 לו האלהים and God H3808 לא   H5927 תעלה   H310 אחריהם after H5437 הסב them; turn away H5921 מעליהם from H935 ובאת them, and come H1992 להם   H4136 ממול upon them over against H1057 הבכאים׃ the mulberry trees.
  15 H1961 ויהי And it shall be, H8085 כשׁמעך when thou shalt hear H853 את   H6963 קול a sound H6807 הצעדה of going H7218 בראשׁי in the tops H1057 הבכאים of the mulberry trees, H227 אז then H3318 תצא thou shalt go out H4421 במלחמה to battle: H3588 כי for H3318 יצא is gone forth H430 האלהים God H6440 לפניך before H5221 להכות thee to smite H853 את   H4264 מחנה the host H6430 פלשׁתים׃ of the Philistines.
  16 H6213 ויעשׂ therefore did H1732 דויד David H834 כאשׁר as H6680 צוהו commanded H430 האלהים God H5221 ויכו him: and they smote H853 את   H4264 מחנה the host H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines H1391 מגבעון   H5704 ועד even to H1507 גזרה׃ Gazer.
  17 H3318 ויצא went out H8034 שׁם And the fame H1732 דויד of David H3605 בכל into all H776 הארצות lands; H3068 ויהוה and the LORD H5414 נתן brought H853 את   H6343 פחדו the fear H5921 על of him upon H3605 כל all H1471 הגוים׃ nations.
