H6030 Then answered [H8799]   H1085 Bildad H7747 the Shuhite H559 , and said [H8799]  ,
H5704 How long H7760 will it be ere ye make [H8799]   H7078 an end H4405 of words H995 ? mark [H8799]   H310 , and afterwards H1696 we will speak [H8762]  .
H2803 Wherefore are we counted [H8738]   H929 as beasts H2933 , and reputed vile [H8738]   H5869 in your sight?
H2963 He teareth [H8802]   H5315 himself H639 in his anger H776 : shall the earth H5800 be forsaken [H8735]   H6697 for thee? and shall the rock H6275 be removed [H8799]   H4725 out of his place?
H216 Yea, the light H7563 of the wicked H1846 shall be put out [H8799]   H7632 , and the spark H784 of his fire H5050 shall not shine [H8799]  .
H216 The light H2821 shall be dark [H8804]   H168 in his tabernacle H5216 , and his candle H1846 shall be put out [H8799]   with him.
H6806 The steps H202 of his strength H3334 shall be straitened [H8799]   H6098 , and his own counsel H7993 shall cast him down [H8686]  .
H7971 For he is cast [H8795]   H7568 into a net H7272 by his own feet H1980 , and he walketh [H8691]   H7639 upon a snare.
H6341 The gin H270 shall take [H8799]   H6119 him by the heel H6782 , and the robber H2388 shall prevail [H8686]   against him.
H2256 The snare H2934 is laid [H8803]   H776 for him in the ground H4434 , and a trap H5410 for him in the way.
H1091 Terrors H1204 shall make him afraid [H8765]   H5439 on every side H6327 , and shall drive [H8689]   H7272 him to his feet.
H202 His strength H7457 shall be hungerbitten H343 , and destruction H3559 shall be ready [H8737]   H6763 at his side.
H398 It shall devour [H8799]   H905 the strength H5785 of his skin H1060 : even the firstborn H4194 of death H398 shall devour [H8799]   H905 his strength.
H4009 His confidence H5423 shall be rooted out [H8735]   H168 of his tabernacle H6805 , and it shall bring [H8686]   H4428 him to the king H1091 of terrors.
H7931 It shall dwell [H8799]   H168 in his tabernacle H1097 , because it is none H1614 of his: brimstone H2219 shall be scattered [H8792]   H5116 upon his habitation.
H8328 His roots H3001 shall be dried up [H8799]   H4605 beneath, and above H7105 shall his branch H5243 be cut off [H8799]  .
H2143 His remembrance H6 shall perish [H8804]   H776 from the earth H8034 , and he shall have no name H6440 in the street H2351  .
H1920 He shall be driven [H8799]   H216 from light H2822 into darkness H5074 , and chased [H8686]   H8398 out of the world.
H5209 He shall neither have son H5220 nor nephew H5971 among his people H8300 , nor any remaining H4033 in his dwellings.
H314 They that come after H8074 him shall be astonied [H8738]   H3117 at his day H6931 , as they that went before H270 were affrighted [H8804]   H8178  .
H4908 Surely such are the dwellings H5767 of the wicked H4725 , and this is the place H3045 of him that knoweth [H8804]   H410 not God.
ERV(i) 1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, 2 How long will ye lay snares for words? consider, and afterwards we will speak. 3 Wherefore are we counted as beasts, [and] are become unclean in your sight? 4 Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? or shall the rock be removed out of its place? 5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine. 6 The light shall be dark in his tent, and his lamp above him shall be put out. 7 The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down. 8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon the toils. 9 A gin shall take [him] by the heel, [and] a snare shall lay hold on him. 10 A noose is hid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way. 11 Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall chase him at his heels. 12 His strength shall be hunger-bitten and calamity shall be ready for his halting. 13 It shall devour the members of his body, [yea], the firstborn of death shall devour his members. 14 He shall be rooted out of his tent wherein he trusteth; and he shall be brought to the king of terrors. 15 There shall dwell in his tent that which is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation. 16 His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off. 17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street. 18 He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world. 19 He shall have neither son nor son’s son among his people, nor any remaining where he sojourned. 20 They that come after shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted. 21 Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
