Deuteronomy 6 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go to possess it:

1 H4687 Now these are the commandments, H2706 the statutes, H4941 and the judgments, H3068 which the Lord H430 your God H6680 commanded H3925 to teach H6213 you, that you might do H776 them in the land H5674 where you go H3423 to possess it:

2 H3372 That you might fear H3068 the Lord H430 your God, H8104 to keep H2708 all his statutes H4687 and his commandments, H6680 which I command H1121 you, you, and your son, H1121 and your son's H1121 son, H3117 all the days H2416 of your life; H3117 and that your days H748 may be prolonged.

3 H8085 Hear H3478 therefore, O Israel, H8104 and observe H6213 to do H3190 it; that it may be well H7235 with you, and that you may increase H3966 mightily, H3068 as the Lord H430 God H1 of your fathers H1696 has promised H776 you, in the land H2100 that flows H2461 with milk H1706 and honey.

4 H8085 Hear, H3478 O Israel: H3068 The Lord H430 our God H259 is one H3068 Lord:

5 H157 And you shall love H3068 the Lord H430 your God H3824 with all your heart, H5315 and with all your soul, H3966 and with all your might.

6 H1697 And these words, H6680 which I command H3117 you this day, H3824 shall be in your heart:

7 H8150 And you shall teach them diligently H1121 unto your sons, H1696 and shall talk H3427 of them when you sit H1004 in your house, H3212 and when you walk H1870 by the way, H7901 and when you lie down, H6965 and when you rise up.

8 H7194 And you shall bind H226 them for a sign H3027 upon your hand, H2903 and they shall be as frontlets H5869 between your eyes.

9 H3789 And you shall write H4201 them upon the door-posts H1004 of your house, H8179 and on your gates.

10 H3068 And it shall be, when the Lord H430 your God H935 shall have brought H776 you into the land H7650 which he swore H1 unto your fathers, H85 to Abraham, H3327 to Isaac, H3290 and to Jacob, H5414 to give H1419 you great H2896 and good H5892 cities, H1129 which you built not,

11 H1004 And houses H4392 full H2898 of all good H4390 things, which you fill H953 not, and wells H2672 dug, H2672 which you dig H3754 not, vineyards H2132 and olive trees, H5193 which you plant H398 not; when you shall have eaten H7646 and be full;

12 H8104 Then beware H7911 lest you forget H3068 the Lord, H3318 which brought you forth H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt, H1004 from the house H5650 of bondage.

13 H3372 You shall fear H3068 the Lord H430 your God, H5647 and serve H7650 him, and shall swear H8034 by his name.

14 H3212 You shall not go H310 after H312 other H430 gods, H430 of the gods H5971 of the people H5439 which are round about you;

15 H3068 (For the Lord H430 your God H7067 is a jealous H410 God H7130 among H639 you) lest the anger H3068 of the Lord H430 your God H2734 be kindled H8045 against you, and destroy H6440 you from off the face H127 of the earth.

16 H5254 You shall not tempt H3068 the Lord H430 your God, H5254 as you tempted H4532 him in Massah.

17 H8104 You shall diligently H8104 keep H4687 the commandments H3068 of the Lord H430 your God, H5713 and his testimonies, H2706 and his statutes, H6680 which he has commanded you.

18 H6213 And you shall do H3477 that which is right H2896 and good H5869 in the sight H3068 of the Lord: H3190 that it may be well H935 with you, and that you may go in H3423 and possess H2896 the good H776 land H3068 which the Lord H7650 swore H1 unto your fathers,

19 H1920 To cast out H341 all your enemies H6440 from before H3068 you, as the Lord H1696 has spoken.

20 H1121 And when your son H7592 asks H4279 you in time to come, H559 saying, H5713 What mean the testimonies, H2706 and the statutes, H4941 and the judgments, H3068 which the Lord H430 our God H6680 has commanded you?

21 H559 Then you shall say H1121 unto your son, H6547 We were Pharaoh's H5650 bondmen H4714 in Egypt; H3068 and the Lord H3318 brought us out H4714 of Egypt H2389 with a mighty H3027 hand:

22 H3068 And the Lord H5414 showed H226 signs H4159 and wonders, H1419 great H7451 and severe, H4714 upon Egypt, H6547 upon Pharaoh, H1004 and upon all his household, H5869 before our eyes:

23 H3318 And he brought us out H935 from there, that he might bring us in, H5414 to give H776 us the land H7650 which he swore H1 unto our fathers.

24 H3068 And the Lord H6680 commanded H6213 us to do H2706 all these statutes, H3372 to fear H3068 the Lord H430 our God, H2896 for our good H3117 always, H2421 that he might preserve us alive, H3117 as it is at this day.

25 H6666 And it shall be our righteousness, H8104 if we observe H6213 to do H2063 all these H4687 commandments H6440 before H3068 the Lord H430 our God, H6680 as he has commanded us.
