1 Kings 19 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and with how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

2 H348 Then Jezebel H7971 sent H4397 a messenger H452 unto Elijah, H559 saying, H430 So let the gods H6213 do H3254 to me, and more H7760 also, if I make H5315 not your life H5315 as the life H259 of one H4279 of them by to morrow H6256 about this time.

3 H7200 And when he saw H6965 that, he arose, H3212 and went H5315 for his life, H935 and came H884 to Beer–sheba, H3063 which belongs to Judah, H3240 and left H5288 his servant there.

4 H1980 But he himself went H3117 a day's H1870 journey H4057 into the wilderness, H935 and came H3427 and sat down H259 under a H7574 juniper tree: H7592 and he requested H5315 for himself H4191 that he might die; H559 and said, H7227 It is enough; H3068 now, O Lord, H3947 take away H5315 my life; H2896 for I am not better H1 than my fathers.

5 H7901 And as he lay H3462 and slept H259 under a H7574 juniper tree, H4397 behold, then an angel H5060 touched H559 him, and said H6965 unto him, Arise H398 and eat.

9 H935 And he came H4631 there unto a cave, H3885 and lodged H1697 there; and, behold, the word H3068 of the Lord H559 came to him, and he said H452 unto him, What do you here, Elijah?

10 H559 And he said, H7065 I have been very H7065 jealous H3068 for the Lord H430 God H6635 of hosts: H1121 for the sons H3478 of Israel H5800 have forsaken H1285 your covenant, H2040 thrown down H4196 your altars, H2026 and slain H5030 your prophets H2719 with the sword; H3498 and I, even I only, am left; H1245 and they seek H5315 my life, H3947 to take it away.

11 H559 And he said, H3318 Go forth, H5975 and stand H2022 upon the mountain H6440 before H3068 the Lord. H3068 And, behold, the Lord H5674 passed by, H1419 and a great H2389 and strong H7307 wind H6561 tore H2022 the mountains, H7665 and broke in pieces H5553 the rocks H6440 before H3068 the Lord; H3068 but the Lord H7307 was not in the wind: H310 and after H7307 the wind H7494 an earthquake; H3068 but the Lord H7494 was not in the earthquake:

13 H452 And it was so, when Elijah H8085 heard H3874 it, that he wrapped H6440 his face H155 in his mantle, H3318 and went out, H5975 and stood H6607 in the entering in H4631 of the cave. H6963 And, behold, there came a voice H559 unto him, and said, H452 What do you here, Elijah?

14 H559 And he said, H7065 I have been very H7065 jealous H3068 for the Lord H430 God H6635 of hosts: H1121 because the sons H3478 of Israel H5800 have forsaken H1285 your covenant, H2040 thrown down H4196 your altars, H2026 and slain H5030 your prophets H2719 with the sword; H3498 and I, even I only, am left; H1245 and they seek H5315 my life, H3947 to take it away.

15 H3068 And the Lord H559 said H3212 unto him, Go, H7725 return H1870 on your way H4057 to the wilderness H1834 of Damascus: H935 and when you come, H4886 anoint H2371 Hazael H4428 to be king H758 over Syria:

16 H3058 And Jehu H1121 the son H5250 of Nimshi H4886 shall you anoint H4428 to be king H3478 over Israel: H477 and Elisha H1121 the son H8202 of Shaphat H65 of Abel–meholah H4886 shall you anoint H5030 to be prophet in your room.

17 H4422 And it shall come to pass, that him that escapes H2719 the sword H2371 of Hazael H3058 shall Jehu H4191 kill: H4422 and him that escapes H2719 from the sword H3058 of Jehu H477 shall Elisha H4191 kill.

18 H7604 Yet I have left H7651 me seven H505 thousand H3478 in Israel, H1290 all the knees H3766 which have not bowed H1168 unto Baal, H6310 and every mouth H5401 which has not kissed him.

19 H3212 So he departed H4672 there, and found H477 Elisha H1121 the son H8202 of Shaphat, H2790 who was plowing H8147 with twelve H6776 yoke H6440 of oxen before H8147 him, and he with the twelfth: H452 and Elijah H5674 passed H7993 by him, and cast H155 his mantle upon him.

20 H5800 And he left H1241 the oxen, H7323 and ran H310 after H452 Elijah, H559 and said, H5401 Let me, I pray you, kiss H1 my father H517 and my mother, H3212 and then I will follow H559 you. And he said H3212 unto him, Go back H7725 again: H6213 for what have I done to you?

21 H7725 And he returned back H310 from him, H3947 and took H6776 a yoke H1241 of oxen, H2076 and killed H1310 them, and boiled H1320 their flesh H3627 with the instruments H1241 of the oxen, H5414 and gave H5971 unto the people, H398 and they did eat. H6965 Then he arose, H3212 and went H310 after H452 Elijah, H8334 and ministered unto him.
