τὸν (the) αἰῶνα (age), τοῦ (the) κόσμου (world) τούτου (of this), κατὰ (according to) τὸν (the) ἄρχοντα (ruler) τῆς (of the) ἐξουσίας (authority) τοῦ (of the) ἀέρος (air), τοῦ (the) πνεύματος (spirit) παραπτώμασιν (in trespasses), συνεζωοποίησεν (made us alive with) τῷ (-) Χριστῷ (Christ) — χάριτί (by grace) ἐστε (you are) σεσῳσμένοι (saved) — 6 καὶ (and) συνήγειρεν (He raised us up together) καὶ (and) συνεκάθισεν (seated us together) ἐν (in) τοῖς (the) ἐπουρανίοις (heavenly realms) ἐν (in) Χριστῷ (Christ) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus), 7 ἵνα (in order that) ἐνδείξηται (He might show) ἐν (in) τοῖς (the) αἰῶσιν (ages) τοῖς (that) ἐπερχομένοις (are coming) τὸ (the) ὑπερβάλλον (surpassing) πλοῦτος (riches) τῆς (of the) χάριτος (grace) αὐτοῦ (of Him) ἐν (in) χρηστότητι (kindness) ἐφ’ (toward) ἡμᾶς (us) ἐν (in) Χριστῷ (Christ) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus). 8 Τῇ (-) γὰρ (For) χάριτί (by grace) ἐστε (you are) σεσῳσμένοι (saved) διὰ (through) πίστεως (faith), καὶ (and) τοῦτο (this) οὐκ (not) ἐξ (of) ὑμῶν (yourselves); Θεοῦ (it is of God) τὸ (the) δῶρον (gift), 9 οὐκ (not) ἐξ (as a result of) ἔργων (works), ἵνα (so that) μή (not) τις (anyone) καυχήσηται (may boast). 10 αὐτοῦ (Of Him) γάρ (for) ἐσμεν (we are) ποίημα (workmanship), κτισθέντες (having been created) ἐν (in) Χριστῷ (Christ) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus) ἐπὶ (for) ἔργοις (works) ἀγαθοῖς (good), οἷς (which) προητοίμασεν (prepared beforehand) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God), ἵνα (that) ἐν (in) αὐτοῖς (them) περιπατήσωμεν (we should walk). 11 Διὸ (Therefore) μνημονεύετε (remember) ὅτι (that) ποτὲ (formerly) ὑμεῖς (you) τὰ (the) ἔθνη (Gentiles) ἐν (in) σαρκί (the flesh), οἱ (the ones) λεγόμενοι (being called) ἀκροβυστία (the uncircumcision) ὑπὸ (by) τῆς (that) λεγομένης (being called) περιτομῆς (the circumcision), ἐν (in) σαρκὶ (the flesh) χειροποιήτου (made by hands)— 12 ὅτι (that) ἦτε (you were) τῷ (at the) καιρῷ (time) ἐκείνῳ (that) χωρὶς (separate from) Χριστοῦ (Christ), ἀπηλλοτριωμένοι (alienated from) τῆς (the) πολιτείας (commonwealth) τοῦ (-) Ἰσραὴλ (of Israel), καὶ (and) ξένοι (strangers) τῶν (to the) διαθηκῶν (covenants) τῆς (of the) ἐπαγγελίας (promise), ἐλπίδα (hope) μὴ (not) ἔχοντες (having) καὶ (and) ἄθεοι (without God) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) κόσμῳ (world). 13 νυνὶ (Now) δὲ (however) ἐν (in) Χριστῷ (Christ) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus), ὑμεῖς (you) οἵ (the ones) ποτε (once) ὄντες (being) μακρὰν (far off) ἐγενήθητε (have become) ἐγγὺς (near) ἐν (by) τῷ (the) αἵματι (blood) τοῦ (-) Χριστοῦ (of Christ). 14 Αὐτὸς (He Himself) γάρ (for) ἐστιν (is) ἡ (the) εἰρήνη (peace) ἡμῶν (of us), ὁ (-) ποιήσας (having made) τὰ (-) ἀμφότερα (both) ἓν (one), καὶ (and) τὸ (the) μεσότοιχον (barrier) τοῦ (of the) φραγμοῦ (fence) λύσας (having broken down), τὴν (the) ἔχθραν (hostility), 15 ἐν (in) τῇ (the) σαρκὶ (flesh) αὐτοῦ (of Him), τὸν (the) νόμον (law) τῶν (-) ἐντολῶν (of commandments) ἐν (in) δόγμασιν (ordinances) καταργήσας (having annulled), ἵνα (so that) τοὺς (the) δύο (two) κτίσῃ (He might create) ἐν (in) αὑτῷ (Himself) εἰς (into) ἕνα (one) καινὸν (new) ἄνθρωπον (man), ποιῶν (making) εἰρήνην (peace); 16 καὶ (and) ἀποκαταλλάξῃ (He might reconcile) τοὺς (-) ἀμφοτέρους (both) ἐν (in) ἑνὶ (one) σώματι (body) τῷ (-) Θεῷ (to God) διὰ (through) τοῦ (the) σταυροῦ (cross), ἀποκτείνας (having slain) τὴν (the) ἔχθραν (hostility) ἐν (by) αὐτῷ (it). 17 Καὶ (And) ἐλθὼν (having come), εὐηγγελίσατο (He proclaimed the gospel): εἰρήνην (peace) ὑμῖν (to you), τοῖς (the ones) μακρὰν (far off), καὶ (and) εἰρήνην (peace) τοῖς (to those) ἐγγύς (near). 18 ὅτι (For) δι’ (through) αὐτοῦ (Him) ἔχομεν (we have) τὴν (the) προσαγωγὴν (access) οἱ (-) ἀμφότεροι (both) ἐν (by) ἑνὶ (one) Πνεύματι (Spirit) πρὸς (to) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father). 19 Ἄρα (So) οὖν (then) οὐκέτι (no longer) ἐστὲ (are you) ξένοι (strangers) καὶ (and) πάροικοι (aliens), ἀλλὰ (but) ἐστὲ (are) συμπολῖται (fellow citizens) τῶν (of the) ἁγίων (saints) καὶ (and) οἰκεῖοι (of the household) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), 20 ἐποικοδομηθέντες (having been built) ἐπὶ (upon) τῷ (the) θεμελίῳ (the) πλησίον (neighbor) αὐτοῦ (of him), ὅτι (because) ἐσμὲν (we are) ἀλλήλων (of one another) μέλη (members). 26 “Ὀργίζεσθε (Be angry), καὶ (and yet) μὴ (not) ἁμαρτάνετε (sin).” ὁ (The) ἥλιος (sun) μὴ (not) ἐπιδυέτω (let set) ἐπὶ (upon) [τῷ] (-) παροργισμῷ (anger) ὑμῶν (of you); 27 μηδὲ (neither) δίδοτε (give) τόπον (opportunity) τῷ (to the) διαβόλῳ (devil). 28 Ὁ (The one) κλέπτων (stealing), μηκέτι (no longer) κλεπτέτω (let him steal); μᾶλλον (rather) δὲ (however) κοπιάτω (let him toil), ἐργαζόμενος (working) ταῖς (with the) ἰδίαις (own) χερσὶν (hands) τὸ (what) ἀγαθόν (is good), ἵνα (so Κυρίῳ (Lord). 11 Καὶ (And) μὴ (not) συνκοινωνεῖτε (have fellowship with) τοῖς (the) ἔργοις (works) τοῖς (-) ἀκάρποις (unfruitful) τοῦ (-) σκότους (of darkness); μᾶλλον (rather) δὲ (however) καὶ (even) ἐλέγχετε (expose them); 12 τὰ (the things) γὰρ (for) κρυφῇ (in secret) γινόμενα (being done) ὑπ’ (by) αὐτῶν (them), αἰσχρόν (shameful) ἐστιν (it is) καὶ (even) λέγειν (to mention). 13 τὰ (-) δὲ (But) 14 διὸ (Therefore) λέγει (it says): “Ἔγειρε (Awake you), ὁ (the one) καθεύδων (sleeping), καὶ (and) ἀνάστα (rise up) ἐκ (out from) τῶν (the) νεκρῶν (dead), καὶ (and) ἐπιφαύσει (will shine upon) σοι
