Numbers 18:1-32 And Jehovah said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy fathers' house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

1 H3068 And Jehovah H559 said H175 unto Aaron, H1121 Thou and thy sons H1 and thy fathers' H1004 house H5375 with thee shall bear H5771 the iniquity H4720 of the sanctuary; H1121 and thou and thy sons H5375 with thee shall bear H5771 the iniquity H3550 of your priesthood.

2 H251 And thy brethren H4294 also, the tribe H3878 of Levi, H4294 the tribe H1 of thy father, H7126 bring H3867 thou near with thee, that they may be joined H8334 unto thee, and minister H1121 unto thee: but thou and thy sons H6440 with thee shall be before H168 the tent H5715 of the testimony.

3 H8104 And they shall keep H4931 thy charge, H4931 and the charge H168 of all the Tent: H7126 only they shall not come nigh H3627 unto the vessels H6944 of the sanctuary H4196 and unto the altar, H4191 that they die not, neither they, nor ye.

4 H3867 And they shall be joined H8104 unto thee, and keep H4931 the charge H168 of the tent H4150 of meeting, H5656 for all the service H168 of the Tent: H2114 and a stranger H7126 shall not come nigh unto you.

5 H8104 And ye shall keep H4931 the charge H6944 of the sanctuary, H4931 and the charge H4196 of the altar; H7110 that there be wrath H1121 no more upon the children H3478 of Israel.

6 H3947 And I, behold, I have taken H251 your brethren H3881 the Levites H8432 from among H1121 the children H3478 of Israel: H4979 to you they are a gift, H5414 given H3068 unto Jehovah, H5647 to do H5656 the service H168 of the tent H4150 of meeting.

7 H1121 And thou and thy sons H8104 with thee shall keep H3550 your priesthood H1697 for everything H4196 of the altar, H1004 and for that within H6532 the veil; H5647 and ye shall serve: H5414 I give H3550 you the priesthood H5656 as a service H4979 of gift: H2114 and the stranger H7131 that cometh nigh H4191 shall be put to death.

8 H3068 And Jehovah H1696 spake H175 unto Aaron, H5414 And I, behold, I have given H4931 thee the charge H8641 of my heave-offerings, H6944 even all the hallowed things H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel; H5414 unto thee have I given H4888 them by reason of the anointing, H1121 and to thy sons, H2706 as a portion H5769 for ever.

9 H6944 This shall be thine of the most H6944 holy things, H784 reserved from the fire: H7133 every oblation H4503 of theirs, even every meal-offering H4503 of theirs, and every sin-offering H817 of theirs, and every trespass-offering H7725 of theirs, which they shall render H6944 unto me, shall be most H6944 holy H1121 for thee and for thy sons.

10 H6944 As the most H6944 holy H398 things shalt thou eat H2145 thereof; every male H398 shall eat H6944 thereof: it shall be holy unto thee.

11 H8641 And this is thine: the heave-offering H4976 of their gift, H8573 even all the wave-offerings H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel; H5414 I have given H1121 them unto thee, and to thy sons H1323 and to thy daughters H2706 with thee, as a portion H5769 for ever; H2889 every one that is clean H1004 in thy house H398 shall eat thereof.

12 H2459 All the best H3323 of the oil, H2459 and all the best H8492 of the vintage, H1715 and of the grain, H7225 the first-fruits H5414 of them which they give H3068 unto Jehovah, H5414 to thee have I given them.

13 H1061 The first-ripe H776 fruits of all that is in their land, H935 which they bring H3068 unto Jehovah, H2889 shall be thine; every one that is clean H1004 in thy house H398 shall eat thereof.

14 H2764 Everything devoted H3478 in Israel shall be thine.

15 H6363 Everything that openeth H7358 the womb, H1320 of all flesh H7126 which they offer H3068 unto Jehovah, H120 both of man H929 and beast H1060 shall be thine: nevertheless the first-born H120 of man H6299 shalt thou surely H6299 redeem, H1060 and the firstling H2931 of unclean H929 beasts H6299 shalt thou redeem.

16 H6299 And those that are to be redeemed H2320 of them from a month H1121 old H6299 shalt thou redeem, H6187 according to thine estimation, H3701 for the money H2568 of five H8255 shekels, H8255 after the shekel H6944 of the sanctuary H6242 (the same is twenty H1626 gerahs).

17 H1060 But the firstling H7794 of a cow, H1060 or the firstling H3775 of a sheep, H1060 or the firstling H5795 of a goat, H6299 thou shalt not redeem; H6944 they are holy: H2236 thou shalt sprinkle H1818 their blood H4196 upon the altar, H6999 and shalt burn H2459 their fat H801 for an offering made by fire, H5207 for a sweet H7381 savor H3068 unto Jehovah.

18 H1320 And the flesh H8573 of them shall be thine, as the wave - H2373 breast H3225 and as the right H7785 thigh, it shall be thine.

19 H8641 All the heave-offerings H6944 of the holy things, H1121 which the children H3478 of Israel H7311 offer H3068 unto Jehovah, H5414 have I given H1121 thee, and thy sons H1323 and thy daughters H2706 with thee, as a portion H5769 for ever: H1285 it is a covenant H4417 of salt H5769 for ever H6440 before H3068 Jehovah H2233 unto thee and to thy seed with thee.

20 H3068 And Jehovah H559 said H175 unto Aaron, H5157 Thou shalt have no inheritance H776 in their land, H2506 neither shalt thou have any portion H8432 among H2506 them: I am thy portion H5159 and thine inheritance H8432 among H1121 the children H3478 of Israel.

21 H1121 And unto the children H3878 of Levi, H5414 behold, I have given H3478 all the tithe in Israel H2500 for H5159 an inheritance, H2500 in return for H5656 their service H5647 which they serve, H5656 even the service H168 of the tent H4150 of meeting.

22 H5750 And henceforth H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H7126 shall not come nigh H168 the tent H4150 of meeting, H5375 lest they bear H2399 sin, H4191 and die.

23 H3881 But the Levites H5647 shall do H5656 the service H168 of the tent H4150 of meeting, H5375 and they shall bear H5771 their iniquity: H2708 it shall be a statute H5769 for ever H1755 throughout your generations; H8432 and among H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H5157 they shall have H5159 no inheritance.

24 H4643 For the tithe H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel, H7311 which they offer H8641 as a heave-offering H3068 unto Jehovah, H5414 I have given H3881 to the Levites H5159 for an inheritance: H559 therefore I have said H8432 unto them, Among H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H5157 they shall have H5159 no inheritance.

25 H3068 And Jehovah H1696 spake H4872 unto Moses, H559 saying,

26 H1696 Moreover thou shalt speak H3881 unto the Levites, H559 and say H3947 unto them, When ye take H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H4643 the tithe H5414 which I have given H5159 you from them for your inheritance, H7311 then ye shall offer H8641 up a heave-offering H3068 of it for Jehovah, H4643 a tithe H4643 of the tithe.

27 H8641 And your heave-offering H2803 shall be reckoned H1715 unto you, as though it were the grain H1637 of the threshing-floor, H4395 and as the fulness H3342 of the winepress.

28 H7311 Thus ye also shall offer H8641 a heave-offering H3068 unto Jehovah H4643 of all your tithes, H3947 which ye receive H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel; H5414 and thereof ye shall give H3068 Jehovah's H8641 heave-offering H175 to Aaron H3548 the priest.

29 H4979 Out of all your gifts H7311 ye shall offer H8641 every heave-offering H3068 of Jehovah, H2459 of all the best H4720 thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.

30 H559 Therefore thou shalt say H7311 unto them, When ye heave H2459 the best H2803 thereof from it, then it shall be reckoned H3881 unto the Levites H8393 as the increase H1637 of the threshing-floor, H8393 and as the increase H3342 of the wine-press.

31 H398 And ye shall eat H4725 it in every place, H1004 ye and your households: H7939 for it is your reward H2500 in return for H5656 your service H168 in the tent H4150 of meeting.

32 H5375 And ye shall bear H2399 no sin H7311 by reason of it, when ye have heaved H2459 from it the best H2490 thereof: and ye shall not profane H6944 the holy things H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel, H4191 that ye die not.
