Luke 24:13-32

  13 G2532 And, G2400 [G5628] behold, G1417 two G1537 of G846 them G2258 G4198 [G5713] went G1722 that G846 same G2250 day G1519 to G2968 a village G3739 G3686 called G1695 Emmaus, G568 [G5723] which was G575 from G2419 Jerusalem G1835 about sixty G4712 furlongs.

  14 G2532 And G846 they G3656 [G5707] talked G4314 G240 together G4012 of G3956 all G5130 these things G4819 [G5761] which had happened.

  15 G2532 And G1096 [G5633] it came to pass, G1722 that, while G846 they G3656 [G5721] communed G2532 together and G4802 [G5721] reasoned, G2424 Jesus G2532 G846 himself G1448 [G5660] drew near, G4848 [G5711] and went with G846 them.

  16 G1161 But G846 their G3788 eyes G2902 [G5712] were restrained G1921 0 that they should G3361 not G1921 [G5629] know G846 him.

  17 G1161 And G2036 [G5627] he said G4314 to G846 them, G5101 { What G3056 manner of communications G3778 are these G3739 that G474 [G5719] ye have G4314 one to G240 another, G4043 [G5723] as ye walk, G2532 and G2075 [G5748] are G4659 sullen-visaged?}

  18 G1161 And G1520 one of them, G3739 whose G3686 name G2810 was Cleopas, G611 [G5679] answering G2036 [G5627] said G4314 to G846 him, G4771 Art thou G3441 only G3939 [G5719] a stranger G1722 in G2419 Jerusalem, G2532 and G1097 0 hast G3756 not G1097 [G5627] known G1096 [G5637] the things which have come to pass G1722 G846 there G1722 in G5025 these G2250 days?

  19 G2532 And G2036 [G5627] he said G846 to them, G4169 { What things? G1161 } And G2036 [G5627] they said G846 to him, G4012 Concerning G2424 Jesus G3480 of Nazareth, G3739 who G1096 [G5633] was G4396 a prophet G1415 powerful G1722 G435 in G2041 deed G2532 and G3056 word G1726 before G2316 God G2532 and G3956 all G2992 the people:

  22 G235 Yea, G5100 and certain G1135 women G2532 also G1537 from out of G2257 our company G1839 0 made G2248 us G1839 [G5627] astonished, G1096 [G5637] who were G3721 early G1909 upon G3588 the G3419 memorial;

  23 G2532 And G2147 [G5631] when they found G3361 not G846 his G4983 body, G2064 [G5627] they came, G3004 [G5723] saying, G3708 0 that they had G2532 also G3708 [G5760] seen G3701 a vision G32 of messengers, G3739 who G3004 [G5719] said G846 that he G2198 [G5721] was alive.

  24 G2532 And G5100 certain of them G4862 who were with G2254 us G565 [G5627] went G1909 upon G3588 the G3419 memorial, G2532 and G2147 [G5627] found G2532 it even G3779 so G2531 as G3588 the G1135 women G2036 [G5627] had said: G1161 but G846 him G1492 [G5627] they saw G3756 not.

  25 G2532 Then G846 he G2036 [G5627] said G4314 to G846 them, G5599 { O G453 uncomprehending ones, G2532 and G1021 slow G2588 of heart G4100 [G5721] to believe G1909 upon G3956 all G3739 that G4396 the prophets G2980 [G5656] have spoken:}

  26 G1163 [G5713] { Ought G3780 not G5547 Anointed G3958 [G5629] to suffer G5023 these things, G2532 and G1525 [G5629] to enter G1519 into G846 his G1391 glory?}

  27 G2532 And G756 [G5671] beginning G575 at G3475 Moses G2532 G575 and G3956 all G4396 the prophets, G1329 [G5707] he expounded G846 to them G1722 in G3956 all G1124 the scriptures G4012 the things concerning G1438 himself.

  28 G2532 And G1448 [G5656] they drew near G1519 to G2968 the village, G3757 where G4198 [G5711] they were going: G2532 and G846 he G4364 [G5710] made as though G4198 [G5738] he would go G4208 further.

  29 G2532 But G3849 [G5662] they constrained G846 him, G3004 [G5723] saying, G3306 [G5657] Abide G3326 with G2257 us: G3754 for G2076 [G5748] it is G4314 toward G2073 evening, G2532 and G3588 the G2250 day G2827 [G5758] has declined. G2532 And G1525 [G5627] he went in G3306 [G5658] to stay G4862 with G846 them.

  30 G2532 And G1096 [G5633] it came to pass, G1722 as G846 he G2625 [G5683] sat eating G3326 with G846 them, G2983 [G5631] he took G740 bread, G2127 [G5656] and blessed G2532 it, and G2806 [G5660] broke, G1929 [G5707] and gave G846 to them.

  31 G1161 And G846 their G3788 eyes G1272 [G5681] were opened, G2532 and G1921 [G5627] they knew G846 him; G2532 and G846 he G1096 G855 [G5633] vanished G575 from G846 their sight.

  32 G2532 And G2036 [G5627] they said G4314 G240 one to another, G2258 [G5713] Did G3780 not G2257 our G2588 heart G2545 [G5746] burn G1722 within G2254 us, G5613 while G2980 [G5707] he talked G2254 with us G1722 by G3598 the way, G2532 and G5613 while G1272 [G5707] he opened G2254 to us G1124 the scriptures?
