Acts 16:26-40

  16:26   869-1161 άφνω δε And suddenly 4578 σεισμός [²earthquake 1096 εγένετο ³took place 3173 μέγας ¹a great], 5620 ώστε so as 4531 σαλευθήναι to shake 3588 τα the 2310 θεμέλια foundations 3588 του of the 1201 δεσμωτηρίου jail. 455 ανεώχθησάν [⁶were opened 5037 τε ¹And 3916 παραχρήμα ²immediately 3588 αι ⁴the 2374 θύραι ⁵doors 3956 πάσαι ³all], 2532 και and 3956 πάντων all 3588 τα the 1199 δεσμά bonds 447 ανέθη were unfastened.   16:27   1853 έξυπνος [⁵awakened out of sleep 1161 δε ¹And 1096 γενόμενος ⁴being 3588 ο ²the 1200 δεσμοφύλαξ ³jailer], 2532 και and 1492 ιδών beholding 455 ανεωγμένας [⁵being open 3588 τας ¹the 2374 θύρας ²doors 3588 της ³of the 5438 φυλακής ⁴prison], 4685 σπασάμενος unsheathed 3162 μάχαιραν his sword, 3195 έμελλεν being about 1438-337 εαυτόν αναιρείν to do away with himself, 3543 νομίζων thinking 1628 εκπεφευγέναι [³to have fled 3588 τους ¹the 1198 δεσμίους ²prisoners].   16:28   5455 εφώνησε [³spoke out 1161 δε ¹And 5456 φωνή ⁵voice 3173 μεγάλη ⁴with a great 3588 ο   * Παύλος ²Paul], 3004 λέγων saying, 3367 μηδέν You should not 4238 πράξης exact 4572 σεαυτώ [²on yourself 2556 κακόν ¹hurt], 537 άπαντες [³all together 1063 γαρ ¹for 1510.2.4 εσμεν ²we are] 1759 ενθάδε here.   16:29   154-1161 αιτήσας δε And asking 5457 φώτα for lights, 1530 εισεπήδησε he rushed in, 2532 και and 1790 έντρομος [²trembling 1096 γενόμενος ¹being], 4363 προσέπεσε he fell before 3588 τω   * Παύλω Paul 2532 και and 3588 τω   * Σίλα Silas.   16:30   2532 και And 4254 προαγαγών having led 1473 αυτούς them 1854 έξω outside, 5346 έφη he said, 2962 κύριοι Masters, 5100 τι what 1473-1163 με δει is necessary for me 4160 ποιείν to do 2443 ίνα that 4982 σωθώ I should be delivered?   16:31   3588-1161 οι δε And they 2036 είπον said, 4100 πίστευσον Believe 1909 επί upon 3588 τον the 2962 κύριον Lord * Ιησούν Jesus 5547 χριστόν Christ, 2532 και and 4982 σωθήση you shall be delivered, 1473 συ you 2532 και and 3588 ο   3624-1473 οίκός σου your house.   16:32   2532 και And 2980 ελάλησαν they spoke 1473 αυτώ to him 3588 τον the 3056 λόγον word 3588 του of the 2962 κυρίου Lord, 2532 και and 3956 πάσι to all 3588 τοις the ones 1722 εν in 3588 τη   3614-1473 οικία αυτού his house.   16:33   2532 και And 3880 παραλαβών having taken 1473 αυτούς them 1722 εν in 1565 εκείνη that 3588 τη   5610 ώρα hour 3588 της of the 3571 νυκτός night, 3068 έλουσεν he bathed them 575 από from 3588 των the 4127 πληγών strokes; 2532 και and 907 εβαπτίσθη [⁴was immersed, 1473 αυτός ¹he 2532 και ²and 3588 οι   1473-3956 αυτού πάντες ³all his family] 3916 παραχρήμα immediately.   16:34   321-5037 αναγαγών τε And having led 1473 αυτούς them 1519 εις into 3588 τον   3624-1473 οίκον αυτού his house, 3908 παρέθηκε he placed 5132 τράπεζαν a table, 2532 και and 21 ηγαλλιάσατο exulted 3832 πανοικί with his whole family, 4100 πεπιστευκώς having believed 3588 τω   2316 θεώ in God.   16:35   2250-1161 ημέρας δε And day 1096 γενομένης having come 649 απέστειλαν [⁵sent 3588 οι ¹the 4755 στρατηγοί ²commandants 3588 τους ³of the 4465 ραβδούχους ⁴lictors], 3004 λέγοντες saying, 630 απόλυσον Release 3588 τους   444-1565 ανθρώπους εκείνους those men!   16:36   518 απήγγειλε [⁴reported 1161 δε ¹And 3588 ο ²the 1200 δεσμοφύλαξ ³jailer] 3588 τους   3056-3778 λόγους τούτους these words 4314 προς to 3588 τον   * Παύλον Paul, 3754 ότι that, 649 απεστάλκασιν [³have sent 3588 οι ¹The 4755 στρατηγοί ²commandants] 2443 ίνα that 630 απολυθήτε you be released. 3568 νυν Now 3767 ούν then 1831 εξελθόντες having gone forth, 4198 πορεύεσθε go 1722 εν in 1515 ειρήνη peace!   16:37   3588 ο   1161 δε But * Παύλος Paul 5346 έφη said 4314 προς to 1473 αυτούς them, 1194 δείραντες Having flayed 1473 ημάς us 1219 δημοσία in public, 178 ακατακρίτους uncondemned 444 ανθρώπους men, *-5224 Ρωμαίους υπάρχοντας being Romans, 906 έβαλον they cast us 1519 εις into 5438 φυλακήν prison, 2532 και and 3568 νυν now 2977 λάθρα in private 1473-1544 ημάς εκβάλλουσιν they cast us out? 3756-1063 ου γαρ No indeed, 235 αλλά but 2064 ελθόντες having come 1473 αυτοί themselves 1473-1806 ημάς εξαγαγέτωσαν let them lead us out!   16:38   312 ανήγγειλαν [⁴announced 1161 δε ¹And 3588 τοις ⁵to the 4755 στρατηγοίς ⁶commandants 3588 οι ²the 4465 ραβδούχοι ³lictors] 3588 τα   4487-3778 ρήματα ταύτα these words; 2532 και and 5399 εφοβήθησαν they feared, 191 ακούσαντες having heard 3754 ότι that *-1510.2.6 Ρωμαϊοί εισι they are Romans.   16:39   2532 και And 2064 ελθόντες having come, 3870 παρεκάλεσαν they appealed to 1473 αυτούς them; 2532 και and 1806 εξαγάγοντες having led them out, 2065 ηρώτων they asked them 1831 εξελθείν to go forth out 3588 της of the 4172 πόλεως city.   16:40   1831-1161 εξελθόντες δε And having gone forth 1537 εκ from out of 3588 της the 5438 φυλακής prison, 1525 εισήλθον they entered 4314 προς to 3588 την   * Λυδίαν Lydia; 2532 και and 1492 ιδόντες having seen 3588 τους the 80 αδελφούς brethren, 3870 παρεκάλεσαν they comforted 1473 αυτούς them, 2532 και and 1831 εξήλθον they went forth.
