Leeser(i) 1 And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the Lord. 2 And he sent Elyakim, who was superintendent over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the son of Amoz, the prophet. 3 And they said unto him, Thus hath said Hezekiah, A day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of derision is this day; for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth. 4 Perhaps the Lord thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to blaspheme the living God, and who hath reproached with the words which the Lord thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up a prayer for the remnant that is still found here. 5 And the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah. 6 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus hath said the Lord, Be not afraid because of the words which thou hast heard, with which the boys of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 7 Behold, I will put an other spirit in him, and when he will hear a rumor, he shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

LXX2012(i) 1 And it came to pass, when king Ezekias heard [it, that] he tore his clothes, and put on sackcloth, and went up to the house of the Lord. 2 And he sent Heliakim the steward, and Somnas the scribe, and the elders of the priests clothed with sackcloth, to Esaias the son of Amos, the prophet. And they said to him, Thus says Ezekias, 3 To-day is a day of affliction, and reproach, and rebuke, and anger: for the pangs are come upon the travailing [woman], but she has not strength to bring forth. 4 May the Lord your God hear the words of Rabsaces, which the king of the Assyrians has sent, to reproach the living God, even to reproach with the words which the Lord your God has heard: therefore you shall pray to your Lord for these that are left. 5 So the servants of king Ezekias came to Esaias. 6 And Esaias said to them, Thus shall you⌃ say to your master, Thus says the Lord, Be not you afraid at the words which you have heard, wherewith the ambassadors of the king of the Assyrians have reproached me, 7 Behold, I [will] send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a report, and return to his own country, and he shall fall by the sword in his own land.
NSB(i) 1 King Hezekiah heard it and he tore his clothes. He covered himself with sackcloth and entered the house of Jehovah. 2 Hezekiah sent Eliakim the palace administrator along with Shebna the scribe and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz. 3 They said to him: »Hezekiah says: ‘This day is a day of distress, rebuke and rejection. His master the king of Assyria has sent him to reproach the living God! He will rebuke the words Jehovah your God has heard. Therefore, offer a prayer for the remnant that survives.’« 5 So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah. 6 Isaiah said to them: »Say to your master: ‘Jehovah says: »Do not be afraid because of the words you have heard from the servants of the king of Assyria. For they have blasphemed me. 7 »‘»Listen! I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land. I will make him fall by the sword in his own land.«’«
ISV(i) 1 Hezekiah Seeks Isaiah’s CounselAs soon as Hezekiah the king heard this, he tore his clothes, dressed himself in sackcloth, and went into the LORD’s Temple. 2 Then he sent Eliakim, who was in charge of the palace, Shebna the secretary, and the senior priests, all wearing sackcloth, to Amoz’s son, the prophet Isaiah. 3 “Here is what Hezekiah says,” they told him. “This day is a day of trouble, rebuke, and disgrace, as when children come to the point of birth and there is no energy to deliver them. 4 Perhaps the LORD your God will hear the words of the field commander, whom his master, the king of Assyria, sent to mock the living God, and perhaps he will rebuke the words that the LORD your God has heard. So lift up a prayer for the remnant that still survives in this city.” 5 That’s why King Hezekiah’s officials came to Isaiah.
6 Isaiah Responds to Hezekiah“Here is what to tell your master,” Isaiah told them. “This is what the LORD says: ‘Don’t be afraid of the words you’ve heard—those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have insulted me. 7 Watch this! I’m going to place an attitude within him, so that when he hears a certain report, he’ll return to his own country. Then I’ll have him cut down by the sword in his own land.”

Indonesian(i) 1 Pada waktu Raja Hizkia mendengar laporan dari ketiga orang itu, ia merobek pakaiannya dan memakai kain karung tanda sedih, lalu ia pergi ke Rumah TUHAN. 2 Kemudian ia mengutus Elyakim kepala istana, Sebna sekretaris negara dan para imam yang berpangkat untuk menemui Nabi Yesaya, anak Amos. Mereka pun memakai kain karung.
