At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
CAB(i) 12 And Sarah laughed in herself, saying, The thing has not as yet happened to me, even until now, and my lord is old. 13 And the Lord said to Abraham, Why is it that Sarah has laughed in herself, saying, Shall I then indeed bear? But I have grown old. 14 Shall anything be impossible with the Lord? At the appointed time I shall return to you, and Sarah shall have a son.
LXX2012(i) 12 And Sarrha laughed in herself, saying, The thing has not as yet happened to me, even until now, and my lord is old. 13 And the Lord said to Abraam, Why is it that Sarrha has laughed in herself, saying, Shall I then indeed bear? but I am grown old. 14 Shall anything be impossible with the Lord? At this time I will return to you seasonably, and Sarrha shall have a son.
NSB(i) 12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself. She said to herself: »After I have grown old, shall I have a baby? My lord is old also.« 13 Jehovah said to Abraham: »Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?' 14 »Is anything too hard for Jehovah? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life. Sarah shall have a son!«
ISV(i) 12 That’s why Sarah laughed to herself, thinking, “After I’m so old and my husband is old, too, am I going to have sex?”
13 The LORD asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and think, ‘Am I really going to bear a child, since I’m so old?’ 14 Is anything impossible for the LORD? At the time set for it, I will return to you—about a year from now—and Sarah will have a son.”
LEB(i) 12 So* Sarah laughed to herself saying, "After I am worn out and my husband is old, shall this pleasure be to me?" 13 Then Yahweh said to Abraham, "What is this that Sarah laughed, saying, 'Is it indeed true that I will bear a child, now that I have grown old?' 14 Is anything too difficult for Yahweh? At the appointed time I will return to you in the spring* and Sarah shall have a son."
BSB(i) 12 So she laughed to herself, saying, “After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?” 13 And the LORD asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Can I really bear a child when I am old?’ 14 Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you—in about a year—and Sarah will have a son.”
MSB(i) 12 So she laughed to herself, saying, “After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?” 13 And the LORD asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Can I really bear a child when I am old?’ 14 Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you—in about a year—and Sarah will have a son.”
MLV(i) 12 And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I have become old shall I have pleasure from my lord who is also old?
13 And Jehovah said to Abraham, Why did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I who am old certainly bear a child? 14 Is anything too hard for Jehovah? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes round and Sarah will have a son.
VIN(i) 12 So Sarah laughed to herself saying, "After I am worn out and my husband is old, shall this pleasure be to me?" 13 The LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Will I really bear a child, yet I am old?' 14 Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes round and Sarah will have a son.
