Rotherham(i) 1 Then responded Moses, and said, And lo! they will not believe me, neither hearken to my voice,––for they will say, Yahweh, hath not appeared unto thee. 2 And Yahweh said unto him––What is this in thy hand? And he said––A staff. 3 Then said he––Cast it to the earth. And he cast it to the earth, and it became a serpent,––and Moses fled from the face thereof. 4 And Yahweh said unto Moses, Put forth thy hand, and take it by its tail: So he put forth his hand, and laid hold of it, and it became a staff in his hand:–– 5 that they may believe that Yahweh, God of their fathers,––God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob––hath appeared unto thee. 6 Then said Yahweh unto him, yet again––Bring, I pray thee, thy hand, into thy bosom. So he brought his hand, into his bosom,––and then took it out, and lo! his hand, was leprous,––like snow, 7 And he said––Put back thy hand into thy bosom: So he put back his hand, into his bosom,––and then took it out of his bosom, and lo! it had come again, like his own flesh: 8 thus shall it come to pass, if they will not believe thee, nor hearken to the voice of the first sign, then will they believe the voice of the next sign; 9 and it shall come to pass, if they will not believe, even these two signs, nor hearken to thy voice, then shalt thou take of the water of the river, and pour it out on the dry land,––so shall the water which thou hast taken from the river, become, yea it shall become blood, on the dry land.
CLV(i) 1 Then Moses answered and said: Yet behold, they shall not believe me, nor shall they hearken to my voice, for they shall say, Yahweh has not appeared to you. 2 Now Yahweh said to him: What is this in your hand? So he brought his hand into his bosom and brought it forth from his bosom, and behold, his hand was leprous as snow. 7 Then He said: Restore your hand to your bosom. So he restored his hand to his bosom and brought it forth from his bosom, and, behold, it was restored as his other flesh. 8 Hence it will come to be should they not believe you nor hearken to the voice of the first sign, they may believe the voice of the latter sign. 9 Yet it will come to be even should they not believe these two signs, nor hearken to your voice, then you will take some of the water of the waterway and pour it out on the dry land. And he put his hand inside his robe: and when he took it out it was like the hand of a leper, as white as snow. 7 And he said, Put your hand inside your robe again. THE SIGNS OF YAH VEH TO MOSHEH
And Mosheh answers and says, And behold, they neither trust me, nor hearken to my voice: for they say, Yah Veh was not seen by you. 2 And Yah Veh says to him, What is that in your hand? And he says, A rod. 3 And he says, Cast it on the earth. - and he casts it on the earth and it becomes a serpent; and Mosheh flees from its face. 4 And Yah Veh says to Mosheh, Spread your hand and hold it by the tail. - and he spreads his hand and holds it and it becomes a rod in his palm: 5 so that they trust that Yah Veh Elohim of their fathers, Elohim of Abraham, Elohim of Yischaq and Elohim of Yaaqov was seen by you. 6 And again Yah Veh says to him, Put, I beseech you, your hand into your bosom. - and he puts his hand into his bosom: and when he takes it out, behold, his hand is leprous as snow. 7 And he says, Return your hand into your bosom. - and he returns his hand into his bosom; and plucks it from his bosom and behold, it returns as his flesh. 8 And so be it, if they neither trust you, nor hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they trust the voice of the latter sign: 9 and so be it, if they neither trust also these two signs, nor hearken to your voice, then take of the water of the river and pour it on the dry: and the water you take from the river becomes blood on the dry.

(And he put his hand into his bosom again, and when he took it out of his bosom, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.) 8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, nor hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign. 9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe even these two signs, nor hearken to thy voice, that thou shall take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land. And the water which thou take out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

NSB(i) 1 Moses responded: »What if they will not believe me or listen to what I say? For they may say: ‘Jehovah has not appeared to you.’« 2 Jehovah asked him: »What is that in your hand?« He answered: »A shepherd’s staff.« 3 Jehovah said: »Throw it on the ground.« When Moses threw it on the ground, it became a snake, and he ran away from it. 4 Jehovah said to Moses: »Reach down and pick it up by the tail.« So Moses reached down and caught it. Suddenly it became a walking stick again. 5 Jehovah said: »Do this to prove to the Israelites that Jehovah, the God of their ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has appeared to you.« 6 Jehovah spoke to Moses again: »Put your hand inside your robe.« Moses obeyed. When he took his hand out, it was diseased, covered with white spots, like snow. 7 Jehovah said: »Put your hand inside your robe again.« He did so, and when he took it out this time, it was healthy, just like the rest of his body. 8 Jehovah said: »If they will not believe you or be convinced by the first sign, then this one will convince them. 9 »If in spite of these two signs they still will not believe you, and if they refuse to listen to what you say, take some water from the Nile and pour it on the ground. The water will turn into blood.«
ISV(i) 1 Moses Argues with GodThen Moses answered, “Look, they won’t believe me and they won’t listen to me. Instead, they’ll say, ‘The LORD didn’t appear to you.’”
2 “What’s that in your hand?” the LORD asked him.
Moses answered, “A staff.”
3 Then God said, “Throw it to the ground.” He threw it to the ground and it became a snake. Moses ran away from it.
4 Then God told Moses, “Reach out and grab its tail.” So he reached out, grabbed it, and it became a staff in his hand. 5 God said, “I’ve done this so that they may believe that the LORD God of their ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.”
6 Again the LORD told him, “Put your hand into your bosom.” He put his hand into his bosom and as soon as he brought it out it was leprous, like snow. 7 Then God said, “Put your hand back into your bosom.” He returned it to his bosom and as soon as he brought it out, it was restored like the rest of his skin.
8 “Then if they don’t believe you and respond to the first sign, they may respond to the second sign. 9 But if they don’t believe even these two signs, and won’t listen to you, then take some water out of the Nile River and pour it on the dry ground. The water you took from the Nile River will turn into blood on the dry ground.”
LEB(i) 1 And Moses answered, and he said, "And if they do not believe me and they do not listen to my voice, but they say, 'Yahweh did not appear to you?'" 2 And Yahweh said to him, "What is this in your hand?" And he said, "A staff." 3 And he said, "Throw it onto the ground." And he threw it onto the ground, and it became a snake, and Moses fled from it. 4 And Yahweh said to Moses, "Reach out your hand and grasp it by its tail"—" (And he reached out his hand and grabbed it, and it became a staff in his palm.)— 5 "so that they may believe that Yahweh, the God of their ancestors,* appeared to you, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." 6 And Yahweh said to him again, "Put your hand into the fold of your garment." And he put his hand into the fold of his garment, and he took it out, and, to his surprise,* his hand was afflicted with a skin disease, like snow. 7 And he said, "Return your hand to the fold of your garment." And he returned his hand to the fold of his garment, and he took it out from the fold of his garment, and, to his surprise,* it was restored like the rest of his body. 8 "And* if they do not believe you and they will not listen to the voice of the former sign, then they will believe the voice of the latter sign. 9 And* if they also do not believe the second of these signs and they will not listen to your voice, then you must take water from the Nile and pour it onto the dry ground, and the water that you take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground."

So Moses threw it on the ground, and it became a snake, and he ran from it. 4 “Stretch out your hand and grab it by the tail,” the LORD said to Moses, who reached out his hand and caught the snake, and it turned back into a staff in his hand. 5 “This is so that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.” 6 Furthermore, the LORD said to Moses, “Put your hand inside your cloak.” So he put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out, his hand was leprous, white as snow. 7 “Put your hand back inside your cloak,” said the LORD. So Moses put his hand back inside his cloak, and when he took it out, it was restored, like the rest of his skin. 8 And the LORD said, “If they refuse to believe you or heed the witness of the first sign, they may believe that of the second. 9 But if they do not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground. And it became a serpent and Moses fled from before it. 4 And Jehovah said to Moses, Put forth your hand and take it by the tail (and he put forth his hand and laid hold of it and it became a rod in his hand), 5 that they may believe that Jehovah, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.
6 And Jehovah said furthermore to him, Put now your hand into your bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom. And when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as snow. 7 And he said, Put your hand into your bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again and when he took it out of his bosom, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.
8 And it will happen, if they will not believe you, nor listen to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign. 9 And it will happen, if they will not believe even these two signs, nor listen to your voice, that you will take of the water of the river and pour it upon the dry land. And the water which you take out of the river will become blood upon the dry land.
VIN(i) 1 Moses answered, "But, look, they will not believe me, nor listen to my voice; for they will say, 'The LORD has not appeared to you.'" 2 The LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand?" He said, "A rod." 3 the LORD said: "Throw it on the ground." When Moses threw it on the ground, it became a snake, and he ran away from it. 4 the LORD said to Moses, Stretch out your hand, and take it by the tail. He stretched out his hand, and took hold of it, and it became a rod in his hand. 5 “This is so that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.” 6 Again the LORD said to him, "Put your hand into your bosom." He put his hand into his bosom and as soon as he brought it out it was leprous, like snow. 7 Then God said, "Put your hand back into your bosom." He returned it to his bosom and as soon as he brought it out, it was restored like the rest of his skin. 8 "Then if they don't believe you and respond to the first sign, they may respond to the second sign. 9 But if they don't believe even these two signs, and won't listen to you, then take some water out of the Nile and pour it on the dry ground. The water you took from the Nile will turn into blood on the dry ground."

On uvuče ruku u njedra. 7 "Stavi opet ruku u njedra!" - naredi mu Jahve. On opet ruku u njedra. 2 Tedy řekl jemu Hospodin: Co jest to v ruce tvé? 8 I budeť, jestliže neuvěří tobě, a neposlechnou hlasu a znamení prvního, uvěří hlasu a znamení druhému.

3 Ordenou-lhe o Senhor: Lança-a no chão. E meteu a mão no seio. 7 Disse-lhe ainda: Torna a meter a mão no seio.
