Numbers 24 And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel , he went not, as at other times , to seek for enchantments , but he set his face toward the wilderness.

2 H1109 And Balaam H5375 lifted up [H8799] H5869 his eyes H7200 , and he saw [H8799] H3478 Israel H7931 abiding [H8802] H7626 in his tents according to their tribes H7307 ; and the spirit H430 of God came upon him.

3 H5375 And he took up [H8799] H4912 his parable H559 , and said [H8799] H1109 , Balaam H1121 the son H1160 of Beor H5002 hath said [H8803] H1397 , and the man H5869 whose eyes H8365 are open [H8803] H5002 hath said [H8803] :

4 H5002 He hath said [H8803] H8085 , which heard [H8802] H561 the words H410 of God H2372 , which saw [H8799] H4236 the vision H7706 of the Almighty H5307 , falling [H8802] H5869 into a trance, but having his eyes H1540 open [H8803] :

5 H2895 How goodly [H8804] H168 are thy tents H3290 , O Jacob H4908 , and thy tabernacles H3478 , O Israel!

6 H5158 As the valleys H5186 are they spread forth [H8738] H1593 , as gardens H5104 by the river's side H174 , as the trees of lign aloes H3068 which the LORD H5193 hath planted [H8804] H730 , and as cedar trees H4325 beside the waters.

7 H5140 He shall pour H4325 the water H5140 out [H8799] H1805 of his buckets H2233 , and his seed H7227 shall be in many H4325 waters H4428 , and his king H7311 shall be higher [H8799] H90 than Agag H4438 , and his kingdom H5375 shall be exalted [H8691] .

8 H410 God H3318 brought him forth [H8688] H4714 out of Egypt H8443 ; he hath as it were the strength H7214 of an unicorn H398 : he shall eat up [H8799] H1471 the nations H6862 his enemies H1633 , and shall break [H8762] H6106 their bones H4272 , and pierce [H8799] H2671 them through with his arrows.

10 H1111 And Balak's H639 anger H2734 was kindled [H8799] H1109 against Balaam H5606 , and he smote H3709 his hands H5606 together [H8799] H1111 : and Balak H559 said [H8799] H1109 unto Balaam H7121 , I called [H8804] H6895 thee to curse [H8800] H341 mine enemies [H8802] H1288 , and, behold, thou hast altogether [H8763] H1288 blessed [H8765] H7969 them these three H6471 times.

11 H1272 Therefore now flee [H8798] H4725 thou to thy place H559 : I thought [H8804] H3513 to promote H3513 thee unto great [H8763] H3513 honour [H8762] H3068 ; but, lo, the LORD H4513 hath kept thee back [H8804] H3519 from honour.

12 H1109 And Balaam H559 said [H8799] H1111 unto Balak H1696 , Spake [H8765] H4397 I not also to thy messengers H7971 which thou sentest [H8804] H559 unto me, saying [H8800] ,

13 H1111 If Balak H5414 would give [H8799] H1004 me his house H4393 full H3701 of silver H2091 and gold H3201 , I cannot [H8799] H5674 go beyond [H8800] H6310 the commandment H3068 of the LORD H6213 , to do [H8800] H2896 either good H7451 or bad H3820 of mine own mind H3068 ; but what the LORD H1696 saith [H8762] H1696 , that will I speak [H8762] ?

14 H1980 And now, behold, I go [H8802] H5971 unto my people H3212 : come [H8798] H3289 therefore, and I will advertise [H8799] H5971 thee what this people H6213 shall do [H8799] H5971 to thy people H319 in the latter H3117 days.

16 H5002 He hath said [H8803] H8085 , which heard [H8802] H561 the words H410 of God H3045 , and knew [H8802] H1847 the knowledge H5945 of the most High H2372 , which saw [H8799] H4236 the vision H7706 of the Almighty H5307 , falling [H8802] H5869 into a trance, but having his eyes H1540 open [H8803] :

17 H7200 I shall see [H8799] H7789 him, but not now: I shall behold [H8799] H7138 him, but not nigh H1869 : there shall come [H8804] H3556 a Star H3290 out of Jacob H7626 , and a Sceptre H6965 shall rise [H8804] H3478 out of Israel H4272 , and shall smite [H8804] H6285 the corners H4124 of Moab H6979 , and destroy [H8773] H1121 all the children H8352 of Sheth [H8676] H8351 .

18 H123 And Edom H3424 shall be a possession H8165 , Seir H3424 also shall be a possession H341 for his enemies [H8802] H3478 ; and Israel H6213 shall do [H8802] H2428 valiantly.

19 H3290 Out of Jacob H7287 shall come he that shall have dominion [H8799] H6 , and shall destroy [H8689] H8300 him that remaineth H5892 of the city.

20 H7200 And when he looked [H8799] H6002 on Amalek H5375 , he took up [H8799] H4912 his parable H559 , and said [H8799] H6002 , Amalek H7225 was the first H1471 of the nations H319 ; but his latter H8 end shall be that he perish H5703 for ever.

21 H7200 And he looked [H8799] H7017 on the Kenites H5375 , and took up [H8799] H4912 his parable H559 , and said [H8799] H386 , Strong H4186 is thy dwellingplace H7760 , and thou puttest [H8798] H7064 thy nest H5553 in a rock.

22 H7014 Nevertheless the Kenite H518 shall H1197 be wasted [H8763] H804 , until Asshur H7617 shall carry thee away captive [H8799] .

23 H5375 And he took up [H8799] H4912 his parable H559 , and said [H8799] H188 , Alas H2421 , who shall live [H8799] H410 when God H7760 doeth [H8800] this!

24 H6716 And ships H3027 shall come from the coast H3794 of Chittim H6031 , and shall afflict [H8765] H804 Asshur H6031 , and shall afflict [H8765] H5677 Eber H8 , and he also shall perish H5703 for ever.

25 H1109 And Balaam H6965 rose up [H8799] H3212 , and went [H8799] H7725 and returned [H8799] H4725 to his place H1111 : and Balak H1980 also went [H8804] H1870 his way.
