1 G4245 The elder G1588 unto the elect G2959 lady G2532 and G846 her G5043 children, G3739 whom G1473 I G25 love G1722 in G225 truth; G2532 and G3756 not G1473 I G3441 only, G235 but G2532 also G3956 all G1097 they that know G225 the truth;

2 G1223 for G225 the truth's sake G3588 which G3306 abideth G1722 in G2254 us, G2532 and G2071 it shall be G3326 with G2257 us G1519 for G165 ever:

3 G5485 Grace, G1656 mercy, G1515 peace G2071 shall be G3326 with G2257 us, G3844 from G2316 God G3962 the Father, G2532 and G3844 from G2424 Jesus G5547 Christ, G5207 the Son G3962 of the Father, G1722 in G225 truth G2532 and G26 love.

4 G5463 I rejoice G3029 greatly G3754 that G2147 I have found G1537 certain of G4675 thy G5043 children G4043 walking G1722 in G225 truth, G2531 even as G2983 we received G1785 commandment G3844 from G3962 the Father.

5 G2532 And G3568 now G2065 I beseech G4571 thee, G2959 lady, G3756 not G5613 as G1125 though I wrote G4671 to thee G2537 a new G1785 commandment, G235 but G2443 that G3739 which G2192 we had G575 from G746 the beginning, G2443 that G25 we love G240 one another.

6 G2532 And G3778 this G2076 is G26 love, G2443 that G4043 we should walk G2596 after G846 his G1785 commandments. G3778 This G2076 is G1785 the commandment, G2443 even G2531 as G191 ye heard G575 from G746 the beginning, G4043 that ye should walk G1722 in G846 it.

7 G3754 For G4183 many G4108 deceivers G1525 are gone forth G1519 into G2889 the world, G3670 even they that confess G3361 not G2424 that Jesus G5547 Christ G2064 cometh G1722 in G4561 the flesh. G3778 This G2076 is G4108 the deceiver G2532 and G500 the antichrist.

8 G991 Look G1438 to yourselves, G2443 that G622 ye lose G3361 not G3739 the things which G2038 we have wrought, G235 but G618 that ye receive G3408 a G4134 full G3408 reward.

9 G3956 Whosoever G3845 goeth G2532 onward and G3306 abideth G3361 not G1722 in G1322 the teaching G5547 of Christ, G2192 hath G3756 not G2316 God: G3306 he that abideth G1722 in G1322 the teaching, G5547 G2192 the same hath G2532 both G3962 the Father G2532 and G5207 the Son.

10 G1487 If G5100 any G2064 one cometh G4314 unto G5209 you, G2532 and G5342 bringeth G3756 not G3778 this G1322 teaching, G2983 receive G846 him G3361 not G1519 into G2532 your house, G3004 and give G846 him G3361 no G5463 greeting:

11 G1063 for G3004 he that giveth G846 him G5463 greeting G2841 partaketh G2041 in G846 his G4190 evil G2041 works.
