Numbers 27 Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.

1 H7126 [H8799] Then came H1323 the daughters H6765 of Zelophehad, H1121 the son H2660 of Hepher, H1121 the son H1568 of Gilead, H1121 the son H4353 of Machir, H1121 the son H4519 of Manasseh, H4940 of the families H4519 of Manasseh H1121 the son H3130 of Joseph: H8034 and these are the names H1323 of his daughters; H4244 Mahlah, H5270 Noah, H2295 and Hoglah, H4435 and Milcah, H8656 and Tirzah.

2 H5975 [H8799] And they stood H6440 at the face of H4872 Moses, H6440 and at the face of H499 Eleazar H3548 the priest, H6440 and at the face of H5387 the princes H3605 and all H5712 the company, H6607 by the door H168 of the tent H4150 of meeting, H559 [H8800] saying,

3 H1 Our father H4191 [H8804] died H4057 in the wilderness, H8432 and he was not in H5712 the company H3259 [H8737] of them that gathered themselves together H3068 against the LORD H5712 in the company H7141 of Korah; H4191 [H8804] but died H2399 in his own sin, H1121 and had no sons.

4 H8034 Why should the name H1 of our father H1639 [H8735] be done away H8432 from among H4940 his family, H1121 because he hath no son? H5414 [H8798] Give H272 to us therefore a possession H8432 among H251 the brethren H1 of our father.

5 H4872 And Moses H7126 [H8686] brought H4941 their cause H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD.

6 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] spoke H4872 to Moses, H559 [H8800] saying,

7 H1323 The daughters H6765 of Zelophehad H1696 [H8802] speak H3651 what is right: H5414 [H8800] thou shalt surely H5414 [H8799] give H272 them a possession H5159 of an inheritance H8432 among H1 their father's H251 brethren; H5159 and thou shalt cause the inheritance H1 of their father H5674 [H8689] to pass to them.

8 H1696 [H8762] And thou shalt speak H1121 to the sons H3478 of Israel, H559 [H8800] saying, H376 If a man H4191 [H8799] shall die, H1121 and have no son, H5159 then ye shall cause his inheritance H5674 [H8689] to pass H1323 to his daughter.

9 H1323 And if he shall have no daughter, H5414 [H8804] then ye shall give H5159 his inheritance H251 to his brethren.

10 H251 And if he shall have no brethren, H5414 [H8804] then ye shall give H5159 his inheritance H1 to his father's H251 brethren.

11 H1 And if his father H251 shall have no brethren, H5414 [H8804] then ye shall give H5159 inheritance H7607 to his kinsman H7138 that is next H4940 to him of his family, H3423 [H8804] and he shall possess H1121 it: and it shall be to the sons H3478 of Israel H2708 a statute H4941 of judgment, H3068 as the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded H4872 Moses.

12 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H4872 to Moses, H5927 [H8798] go up H2022 to this mount H5682 Abarim, H7200 [H8798] and see H776 the land H5414 [H8804] which I have given H1121 to the sons H3478 of Israel.

13 H7200 [H8804] And when thou hast seen H622 [H8738] it, thou also shalt be gathered H5971 to thy people, H175 as Aaron H251 thy brother H622 [H8738] was gathered.

14 H4784 [H8804] For ye rebelled H6310 against my mouth H4057 in the desert H6790 of Zin, H4808 in the strife H5712 of the company, H6942 [H8687] to sanctify H4325 me at the water H5869 before their eyes: H4325 that is the water H4809 of Meribah H6946 in Kadesh H4057 in the wilderness H6790 of Zin.

15 H4872 And Moses H1696 [H8762] spoke H3068 to the LORD, H559 [H8800] saying,

16 H3068 Let the LORD, H430 the God H7307 of the spirits H1320 of all flesh, H6485 [H8799] set H376 a man H5921 over H9009 the H5712 company,

17 H3318 [H8799] Who may go out H6440 at the face of H935 [H8799] them, and who may go in H6440 at the face of H3318 [H8686] them, and who may lead them out, H935 [H8686] and who may bring them in; H5712 that the company H3068 of the LORD H6629 be not as sheep H7462 [H8802] which have no shepherd.

18 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H4872 to Moses, H3947 [H8798] Take H3091 to thee Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun, H376 a man H7307 in whom is the spirit, H5564 [H8804] and lay H3027 thine hand upon him;

19 H5975 [H8689] And set H6440 him at the face of H499 Eleazar H3548 the priest, H6440 and at the face of H3605 all H5712 the company; H6680 [H8765] and give him a charge H5869 in their eyes.

20 H9001 And H5414 [H8804] thou shalt put H9006 some of H9021 thy H1935 honour H5921 upon H9033 him, H4616 that H3605 all H5712 the company H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel H8085 [H8799] may be obedient.

21 H9002 And H5975 [H8799] he shall stand H6440 at the face of H499 Eleazar H9009 the H3548 priest, H7592 [H8804] who shall ask H9005 counsel for H9033 him H9003 after H4941 the judgment H9009 of the H224 Urim H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD: H5921 upon H9023 his H6310 mouth H3318 [H8799] shall they go out, H9002 and H5921 upon H9023 his H6310 mouth H935 [H8799] they shall come in, H1931 both he, H9002 and H3605 all H1121 the sons H3478 of Israel H854 with H9033 him, H9002 and H3605 all H9009 the H5712 company.

22 H4872 And Moses H6213 [H8799] did H3068 as the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded H3947 [H8799] him: and he took H3091 Joshua, H5975 [H8686] and set H6440 him at the face of H499 Eleazar H3548 the priest, H6440 and at the face of H3605 all H5712 the company:

23 H5564 [H8799] And he laid H3027 his hands H6680 [H8762] upon him, and gave him a charge, H3068 as the LORD H1696 [H8765] commanded H3027 by the hand H4872 of Moses.
