Proverbs 5

KJV_Strongs(i)
H1121 My son H7181 , attend [H8685]   H2451 unto my wisdom H5186 , and bow [H8685]   H241 thine ear H8394 to my understanding:
H8104 That thou mayest regard [H8800]   H4209 discretion H8193 , and that thy lips H5341 may keep [H8799]   H1847 knowledge.
H8193 For the lips H2114 of a strange woman [H8801]   H5197 drop [H8799]   H5317 as an honeycomb H2441 , and her mouth H2509 is smoother H8081 than oil:
H319 But her end H4751 is bitter H3939 as wormwood H2299 , sharp H6310 as a twoedged H2719 sword.
H7272 Her feet H3381 go down [H8802]   H4194 to death H6806 ; her steps H8551 take hold [H8799]   H7585 on hell.
H6424 Lest thou shouldest ponder [H8762]   H734 the path H2416 of life H4570 , her ways H5128 are moveable [H8804]   H3045 , that thou canst not know [H8799]   them .
H8085 Hear [H8798]   H1121 me now therefore, O ye children H5493 , and depart [H8799]   H561 not from the words H6310 of my mouth.
H7368 Remove H1870 thy way H7368 far [H8685]   H7126 from her, and come not nigh [H8799]   H6607 the door H1004 of her house:
H5414 Lest thou give [H8799]   H1935 thine honour H312 unto others H8141 , and thy years H394 unto the cruel:
H2114 Lest strangers [H8801]   H7646 be filled [H8799]   H3581 with thy wealth H6089 ; and thy labours H1004 be in the house H5237 of a stranger;
H5098 And thou mourn [H8804]   H319 at the last H1320 , when thy flesh H7607 and thy body H3615 are consumed [H8800]  ,
H559 And say [H8804]   H8130 , How have I hated [H8804]   H4148 instruction H3820 , and my heart H5006 despised [H8804]   H8433 reproof;
H8085 And have not obeyed [H8804]   H6963 the voice H3384 of my teachers [H8688]   H5186 , nor inclined [H8689]   H241 mine ear H3925 to them that instructed [H8764]   me!
H4592 I was almost H7451 in all evil H8432 in the midst H6951 of the congregation H5712 and assembly.
H8354 Drink [H8798]   H4325 waters H953 out of thine own cistern H5140 , and running waters [H8802]   H8432 out of H875 thine own well.
H4599 Let thy fountains H6327 be dispersed [H8799]   H2351 abroad H6388 , and rivers H4325 of waters H7339 in the streets.
H2114 Let them be only thine own, and not strangers [H8801]  ' with thee.
H4726 Let thy fountain H1288 be blessed [H8803]   H8055 : and rejoice [H8798]   H802 with the wife H5271 of thy youth.
H158 Let her be as the loving H365 hind H2580 and pleasant H3280 roe H1717 ; let her breasts H7301 satisfy [H8762]   H6256 thee at all times H7686 ; and be thou ravished [H8799]   H8548 always H160 with her love.
H1121 And why wilt thou, my son H7686 , be ravished [H8799]   H2114 with a strange woman [H8801]   H2263 , and embrace [H8762]   H2436 the bosom H5237 of a stranger?
H1870 For the ways H376 of man H5227 are before H5869 the eyes H3068 of the LORD H6424 , and he pondereth [H8764]   H4570 all his goings.
H5771 His own iniquities H3920 shall take [H8799]   H7563 the wicked H8551 himself, and he shall be holden [H8735]   H2256 with the cords H2403 of his sins.
H4191 He shall die [H8799]   H4148 without instruction H7230 ; and in the greatness H200 of his folly H7686 he shall go astray [H8799]  .
ERV(i) 1 My son, attend unto my wisdom; incline thine ear to my understanding: 2 That thou mayest preserve discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge. 3 For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil: 4 But her latter end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. 5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on Sheol; 6 So that she findeth not the level path of life: her ways are unstable [and] she knoweth [it] not. 7 Now therefore, [my] sons, hearken unto me, and depart not from the words of my mouth. 8 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: 9 Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: 10 Lest strangers be filled with thy strength; and thy labours [be] in the house of an alien; 11 And thou mourn at thy latter end, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, 12 And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; 13 Neither have I obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me! 14 I was well nigh in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly. 15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. 16 Should thy springs be dispersed abroad, and rivers of water in the streets? 17 Let them be for thyself alone, and not for strangers with thee. 18 Let thy fountain be blessed; and rejoice in the wife of thy youth. 19 [As] a loving hind and a pleasant doe, let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love. 20 For why shouldest thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger? 21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he maketh level all his paths. 22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sin. 23 He shall die for lack of instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
