Isaiah 21

KJV_Strongs(i)
H4853 The burden H4057 of the desert H3220 of the sea H5492 . As whirlwinds H5045 in the south H2498 pass [H8800]   H935 through; so it cometh [H8802]   H4057 from the desert H3372 , from a terrible [H8737]   H776 land.
H7186 A grievous H2380 vision H5046 is declared [H8717]   H898 unto me; the treacherous dealer [H8802]   H898 dealeth treacherously [H8802]   H7703 , and the spoiler [H8802]   H7703 spoileth [H8802]   H5927 . Go up [H8798]   H5867 , O Elam H6696 : besiege [H8798]   H4074 , O Media H585 ; all the sighing H7673 thereof have I made to cease [H8689]  .
H4975 Therefore are my loins H4390 filled [H8804]   H2479 with pain H6735 : pangs H270 have taken hold [H8804]   H6735 upon me, as the pangs H3205 of a woman that travaileth [H8802]   H5753 : I was bowed down [H8738]   H8085 at the hearing [H8800]   H926 of it; I was dismayed [H8738]   H7200 at the seeing [H8800]   of it .
H3824 My heart H8582 panted [H8804]   H6427 , fearfulness H1204 affrighted [H8765]   H5399 me: the night H2837 of my pleasure H7760 hath he turned [H8804]   H2731 into fear unto me.
H6186 Prepare [H8800]   H7979 the table H6822 , watch [H8800]   H6844 in the watchtower H398 , eat [H8800]   H8354 , drink [H8800]   H6965 : arise [H8798]   H8269 , ye princes H4886 , and anoint [H8798]   H4043 the shield.
H136 For thus hath the Lord H559 said [H8804]   H3212 unto me, Go [H8798]   H5975 , set [H8685]   H6822 a watchman [H8764]   H5046 , let him declare [H8686]   H7200 what he seeth [H8799]  .
H7200 And he saw [H8804]   H7393 a chariot H6776 with a couple H6571 of horsemen H7393 , a chariot H2543 of asses H7393 , and a chariot H1581 of camels H7181 ; and he hearkened [H8689]   H7182 diligently H7227 with much H7182 heed:
H7121 And he cried [H8799]   H738 , A lion H136 : My lord H5975 , I stand [H8802]   H8548 continually H4707 upon the watchtower H3119 in the daytime H5324 , and I am set [H8737]   H4931 in my ward H3915 whole nights:
H935 And, behold, here cometh [H8802]   H7393 a chariot H376 of men H6776 , with a couple H6571 of horsemen H6030 . And he answered [H8799]   H559 and said [H8799]   H894 , Babylon H5307 is fallen [H8804]   H5307 , is fallen [H8804]   H6456 ; and all the graven images H430 of her gods H7665 he hath broken [H8765]   H776 unto the ground.
H4098 O my threshing H1121 , and the corn H1637 of my floor H8085 : that which I have heard [H8804]   H3068 of the LORD H6635 of hosts H430 , the God H3478 of Israel H5046 , have I declared [H8689]   unto you.
H4853 The burden H1746 of Dumah H7121 . He calleth [H8802]   H8165 to me out of Seir H8104 , Watchman [H8802]   H3915 , what of the night H8104 ? Watchman [H8802]   H3915 , what of the night?
H8104 The watchman [H8802]   H559 said [H8804]   H1242 , The morning H857 cometh [H8804]   H3915 , and also the night H1158 : if ye will enquire [H8799]   H1158 , enquire [H8798]   H7725 ye: return [H8798]   H857 , come [H8798]  .
H4853 The burden H6152 upon Arabia H3293 . In the forest H6152 in Arabia H3885 shall ye lodge [H8799]   H736 , O ye travelling companies H1720 of Dedanim.
H3427 The inhabitants [H8802]   H776 of the land H8485 of Tema H857 brought [H8689]   H4325 water H7125 to him [H8800]   H6771 that was thirsty H6923 , they prevented [H8765]   H3899 with their bread H5074 him that fled [H8802]  .
H5074 For they fled [H8804]   H6440 from H2719 the swords H6440 , from H5203 the drawn [H8803]   H2719 sword H6440 , and from H1869 the bent [H8803]   H7198 bow H6440 , and from H3514 the grievousness H4421 of war.
H136 For thus hath the Lord H559 said [H8804]   H8141 unto me, Within a year H8141 , according to the years H7916 of an hireling H3519 , and all the glory H6938 of Kedar H3615 shall fail [H8804]  :
H7605 And the residue H4557 of the number H7198 of archers H1368 , the mighty men H1121 of the children H6938 of Kedar H4591 , shall be diminished [H8799]   H3068 : for the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H1696 hath spoken [H8765]   it .
ERV(i) 1 The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it cometh from the wilderness, from a terrible land. 2 A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam; besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease. 3 Therefore are my loins filled with anguish; pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman in travail: I am pained so that I cannot hear; I am dismayed so that I cannot see. 4 My heart panteth, horror hath affrighted me: the twilight that I desired hath been turned into trembling unto me. 5 They prepare the table, they set the watch, they eat, they drink: rise up, ye princes, anoint the shield. 6 For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman; let him declare what he seeth: 7 and when he seeth a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of asses, a troop of camels, he shall hearken diligently with much heed. 8 And he cried as a lion: O Lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the day-time, and am set in my ward whole nights: 9 and, behold, here cometh a troop of men, horsemen in pairs. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods are broken unto the ground. 10 O thou my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard from the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you. 11 The burden of Dumah. One calleth unto me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? 12 The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: turn ye, come. 13 The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanites. 14 Unto him that was thirsty they brought water; the inhabitants of the land of Tema did meet the fugitives with their bread. 15 For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war. 16 For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail: 17 and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be few: for the LORD, the God of Israel, hath spoken it.
