Joshua 23

  1 H7227 And it came to pass a long H3117 time H310 after H3068 that the Lord H5117 had given rest H3478 unto Israel H341 from all their enemies H5439 round about, H3091 that Joshua H2204 grew old H935 and stricken H3117 in age.
  2 H3091 And Joshua H7121 called H3478 for all Israel, H2205 and for their elders, H7218 and for their heads, H8199 and for their judges, H7860 and for their officers, H559 and said H2204 unto them, I am old H935 and stricken H3117 in age:
  3 H7200 And you have seen H3068 all that the Lord H430 your God H6213 has done H1471 unto all these nations H6440 because H3068 of you; for the Lord H430 your God H3898 is he that has fought for you.
  4 H7200 Behold, H5307 I have divided H1471 unto you by lot these nations H7604 that remain, H5159 to be an inheritance H7626 for your tribes, H3383 from Jordan, H1471 with all the nations H3772 that I have cut off, H1419 even unto the great H3220 sea H3996 westward.
  5 H3068 And the Lord H430 your God, H1920 he shall expel H6440 them from before H3423 you, and drive H6440 them from out of your sight; H3423 and you shall possess H776 their land, H3068 as the Lord H430 your God H1696 has promised unto you.
  6 H3966 Be you therefore very H2388 courageous H8104 to keep H6213 and to do H3789 all that is written H5612 in the book H8451 of the law H4872 of Moses, H5493 that you turn H3225 not aside therefrom to the right hand H8040 or to the left;
  7 H935 That you come H1471 not among these nations, H7604 these that remain H2142 among you; neither make mention H8034 of the name H430 of their gods, H7650 nor cause to swear H5647 by them, neither serve H7812 them, nor bow yourselves unto them:
  8 H1692 But cleave H3068 unto the Lord H430 your God, H6213 as you have done H3117 unto this day.
  9 H3068 For the Lord H3423 has driven out H6440 from before H1419 you great H1471 nations H6099 and strong: H376 but as for you, no man H5975 has been able to stand H6440 before H3117 you unto this day.
  10 H259 One H376 man H7291 of you shall chase H505 a thousand: H3068 for the Lord H430 your God, H3898 he it is that fights H1696 for you, as he has promised you.
  11 H3966 Take good H8104 care H5315 therefore unto yourselves, H157 that you love H3068 the Lord H430 your God.
  12 H7725 Else if you do in any wise H7725 go back, H1692 and cleave H3499 unto the remnant H1471 of these nations, H7604 even these that remain H2859 among you, and shall make marriages H935 with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:
  13 H3045 Know H3045 for a certainty H3068 that the Lord H430 your God H3254 will no more H3423 drive out H1471 any of these nations H6440 from before H6341 you; but they shall be snares H4170 and traps H7850 unto you, and scourges H6654 in your sides, H6796 and thorns H5869 in your eyes, H6 until you perish H2896 from off this good H127 land H3068 which the Lord H430 your God H5414 has given you.
  14 H3117 And, behold, this day H1980 I am going H1870 the way H776 of all the earth: H3045 and you know H3824 in all your hearts H5315 and in all your souls, H259 that not one H1697 thing H5307 has failed H2896 of all the good H1697 things H3068 which the Lord H430 your God H1696 spoke H935 concerning you; all are come to pass H259 unto you, and not one H1697 thing H5307 has failed there.
  15 H2896 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good H1697 things H935 are come H3068 upon you, which the Lord H430 your God H1696 promised H3068 you; so shall the Lord H935 bring H7451 upon you all evil H1697 things, H8045 until he have destroyed H2896 you from off this good H127 land H3068 which the Lord H430 your God H5414 has given you.
  16 H5674 When you have transgressed H1285 the covenant H3068 of the Lord H430 your God, H6680 which he commanded H1980 you, and have gone H5647 and served H312 other H430 gods, H7812 and bowed H639 yourselves to them; then shall the anger H3068 of the Lord H2734 be kindled H6 against you, and you shall perish H4120 quickly H2896 from off the good H776 land H5414 which he has given unto you.
