Judges 20:2-17 And the chiefs of all the people, even of all the tribes of Israel, presented themselves in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen that drew sword.

2 H6438 And the chiefs H5971 of all the people, H7626 even of all the tribes H3478 of Israel, H3320 presented H6951 themselves in the assembly H5971 of the people H430 of God, H702 four H3967 hundred H505 thousand H376 footmen H8025 that drew H2719 sword.

3 H1121 (Now the children H1144 of Benjamin H8085 heard H1121 that the children H3478 of Israel H5927 were gone up H4709 to Mizpah.) H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H559 said, H1696 Tell H1961 us, how was H7451 this wickedness brought to pass?

4 H3881 And the Levite, H376 the husband H802 of the woman H7523 that was murdered, H6030 answered H559 and said, H935 I came H1390 into Gibeah H1144 that belongeth to Benjamin, H6370 I and my concubine, H3885 to lodge.

5 H1167 And the men H1390 of Gibeah H6965 rose H5437 against me, and beset H1004 the house H5437 round about H3915 me by night; H1819 me they thought H2026 to have slain, H6370 and my concubine H6031 they forced, H4191 and she is dead.

6 H270 And I took H6370 my concubine, H5408 and cut her in pieces, H7971 and sent H7704 her throughout all the country H5159 of the inheritance H3478 of Israel; H6213 for they have committed H2154 lewdness H5039 and folly H3478 in Israel.

7 H1121 Behold, ye children H3478 of Israel, H3051 all of you, give H1988 here H1697 your advice H6098 and counsel.

8 H5971 And all the people H6965 arose H259 as one H376 man, H559 saying, H376 We will not any H3212 of us go H168 to his tent, H376 neither will we any H5493 of us turn H1004 unto his house.

9 H1697 But now this is the thing H6213 which we will do H1390 to Gibeah: H1486 we will go up against it by lot;

10 H3947 and we will take H6235 ten H582 men H3967 of a hundred H7626 throughout all the tribes H3478 of Israel, H3967 and a hundred H505 of a thousand, H505 and a thousand H7233 out of ten thousand, H3947 to fetch H6720 victuals H5971 for the people, H6213 that they may do, H935 when they come H1387 to Gibeah H1144 of Benjamin, H5039 according to all the folly H6213 that they have wrought H3478 in Israel.

11 H376 So all the men H3478 of Israel H622 were gathered H5892 against the city, H2270 knit together H259 as one H376 man.

12 H7626 And the tribes H3478 of Israel H7971 sent H582 men H7626 through all the tribe H1144 of Benjamin, H559 saying, H7451 What wickedness H1961 is this that is come to pass among you?

13 H5414 Now therefore deliver H582 up the men, H1100 the base H1121 fellows, H1390 that are in Gibeah, H4191 that we may put them to death, H1197 and put away H7451 evil H3478 from Israel. H1144 But Benjamin H1121 H14 would H8085 not hearken H6963 to the voice H251 of their brethren H1121 the children H3478 of Israel.

14 H1121 And the children H1144 of Benjamin H622 gathered themselves together H5892 out of the cities H1390 unto Gibeah, H3318 to go out H4421 to battle H1121 against the children H3478 of Israel.

15 H1121 And the children H1144 of Benjamin H6485 were numbered H3117 on that day H5892 out of the cities H6242 twenty H8337 and six H505 thousand H376 men H8025 that drew H2719 sword, H3427 besides the inhabitants H1390 of Gibeah, H6485 who were numbered H7651 seven H3967 hundred H977 chosen H376 men.

16 H5971 Among all this people H7651 there were seven H3967 hundred H977 chosen H376 men H3027 lefthanded; H7049 every one could sling H68 stones H8185 at a hair-breadth, H2398 and not miss.

17 H376 And the men H3478 of Israel, H1144 besides Benjamin, H6485 were numbered H702 four H3967 hundred H505 thousand H376 men H8025 that drew H2719 sword: H376 all these were men H4421 of war.
