2 Chronicles 6:1-11 Then said Solomon, The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

2 H1129 But I have built H1004 an house H2073 of habitation H4349 for you, and a place H3427 for your dwelling H5769 for ever.

3 H4428 And the king H5437 turned H6440 his face, H1288 and blessed H854 the whole H3605 H6951 congregation H3478 of Israel: H3605 and all H6951 the congregation H3478 of Israel H5975 stood.

4 H559 And he said, H1288 Blessed H3068 be the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel, H3027 who has with his hands H4390 fulfilled H834 that which H1696 he spoke H6310 with his mouth H25 to my father H1732 David, H559 saying,

5 H4480 Since H3117 the day H3318 that I brought H3318 forth H5971 my people H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt H977 I chose H3808 no H5892 city H3605 among all H7626 the tribes H3478 of Israel H1129 to build H1004 an house H8034 in, that my name H8033 might be there; H3808 neither H977 chose H376 I any man H5057 to be a ruler H5921 over H5971 my people H3478 Israel:

6 H977 But I have chosen H3389 Jerusalem, H8034 that my name H8033 might be there; H977 and have chosen H1732 David H5921 to be over H5971 my people H3478 Israel.

7 H3824 Now it was in the heart H1732 of David H25 my father H1129 to build H1004 an house H8034 for the name H3068 of the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel.

8 H3068 But the LORD H559 said H1732 to David H25 my father, H3824 For as much as it was in your heart H1129 to build H1004 an house H8034 for my name, H2895 you did well H3824 in that it was in your heart:

9 H7535 Notwithstanding H1129 you shall not build H1004 the house; H1121 but your son H3318 which shall come H3318 forth H2504 out of your loins, H1129 he shall build H1004 the house H8034 for my name.

10 H3068 The LORD H6965 therefore has performed H1697 his word H1696 that he has spoken: H6965 for I am risen H8478 up in the room H1732 of David H25 my father, H3427 and am set H5921 on H3678 the throne H3478 of Israel, H3068 as the LORD H1696 promised, H1129 and have built H1004 the house H8034 for the name H3068 of the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel.

11 H7760 And in it have I put H727 the ark, H834 wherein H8033 H1285 is the covenant H3068 of the LORD, H3772 that he made H1121 with the children H3478 of Israel.
