  1 H5288 And the child H8050 Samuel H8334 [H8764] ministered H3068 to the LORD H6440 at the face of H5941 Eli. H1697 And the word H3068 of the LORD H3368 was rare H3117 in those days; H6555 [H8737] there was no frequent H2377 vision.
  2 H3117 And it came to pass at that time, H5941 when Eli H7901 [H8802] was lying down H4725 in his place, H5869 and his eyes H2490 [H8689] began H3544 to grow dim, H3201 [H8799] that he could H7200 [H8800] not see;
  3 H5216 And before the lamp H430 of God H3518 [H8799] went out H1964 in the temple H3068 of the LORD, H727 where the ark H430 of God H8050 was, and Samuel H7901 [H8802] was lying down to sleep;
  4 H3068 That the LORD H7121 [H8799] called H8050 Samuel: H559 [H8799] and he answered, Here am I.
  5 H7323 [H8799] And he ran H5941 to Eli, H559 [H8799] and said, H2009 Here am I; H7121 [H8804] for thou didst call H559 [H8799] me. And he said, H7121 [H8804] I called H7901 [H8798] not; lie down H7725 [H8798] again. H3212 [H8799] And he went H7901 [H8799] and lay down.
  6 H3068 And the LORD H7121 [H8800] called H3254 [H8686] yet again, H8050 Samuel. H8050 And Samuel H6965 [H8799] arose H3212 [H8799] and went H5941 to Eli, H559 [H8799] and said, H7121 [H8804] Here am I; for thou didst call H559 [H8799] me. And he answered, H7121 [H8804] I called H1121 not, my son; H7901 [H8798] lie down H7725 [H8798] again.
  7 H8050 Now Samuel H2962 did not yet H3045 [H8804] know H3068 the LORD, H1697 neither was the word H3068 of the LORD H1540 [H8735] yet revealed to him.
  8 H3068 And the LORD H7121 [H8800] called H8050 Samuel H3254 [H8686] again H7992 the third time. H6965 [H8799] And he arose H3212 [H8799] and went H5941 to Eli, H559 [H8799] and said, H7121 [H8804] Here am I; for thou didst call H5941 me. And Eli H995 [H8799] perceived H3068 that the LORD H7121 [H8802] had called H5288 the child.
  9 H5941 Therefore Eli H559 [H8799] said H8050 to Samuel, H3212 [H8798] Go, H7901 [H8798] lie down: H7121 [H8799] and it shall be, if he should call H559 [H8804] thee, that thou shalt say, H1696 [H8761] Speak, H3068 LORD; H5650 for thy servant H8085 [H8802] heareth. H8050 So Samuel H3212 [H8799] went H7901 [H8799] and lay down H4725 in his place.
  10 H3068 And the LORD H935 [H8799] came, H3320 [H8691] and stood, H7121 [H8799] and called H6471 as at other times, H8050 Samuel, H8050 Samuel. H8050 Then Samuel H559 [H8799] answered, H1696 [H8761] Speak; H5650 for thy servant H8085 [H8802] heareth.
  11 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H8050 to Samuel, H6213 [H8802] Behold, I will do H1697 a thing H3478 in Israel, H8147 at which both H241 the ears H8085 [H8802] of every one that heareth H6750 [H8799] it shall tingle.
  12 H3117 In that day H6965 [H8686] I will raise H5941 against Eli H1696 [H8765] all things which I have spoken H413 concerning H1004 his house: H2490 [H8687] when I begin, H3615 [H8763] I will also make an end.
  13 H5046 [H8689] For I have told H8199 [H8802] him that I will judge H1004 his house H5704 for H5769 ever H5771 for the perversity H3045 [H8804] which he knoweth; H1121 because his sons H7043 [H8764] made themselves vile, H3543 [H8765] and he restrained them not.
  14 H7650 [H8738] And therefore I have sworn H1004 to the house H5941 of Eli, H5771 that the perversity H5941 of Eli's H1004 house H3722 [H8691] shall not be purged H2077 with sacrifice H4503 nor offering H5704 for H5769 ever.
  15 H8050 And Samuel H7901 [H8799] lay H1242 until the morning, H6605 [H8799] and opened H1817 the doors H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD. H8050 And Samuel H3372 [H8804] feared H5046 [H8687] to tell H5941 Eli H4759 the vision.
  16 H5941 Then Eli H7121 [H8799] called H8050 Samuel, H559 [H8799] and said, H8050 Samuel, H1121 my son. H559 [H8799] And he answered, Here am I.
  17 H559 [H8799] And he said, H1697 What is the thing H1696 [H8765] that the LORD hath said H3582 [H8762] to thee? I pray thee hide H430 it not from me: God H6213 [H8799] do so H3254 [H8686] to thee, and more also, H3582 [H8762] if thou shalt hide H1697 any thing H1697 from me of all the things H1696 [H8765] that he said to thee.
  18 H8050 And Samuel H5046 [H8686] told H1697 him every thing, H3582 [H8765] and hid H559 [H8799] nothing from him. And he said, H3068 It is the LORD: H6213 [H8799] let him do H5869 what seemeth H2896 him good.
  19 H8050 And Samuel H1431 [H8799] grew, H3068 and the LORD H1697 was with him, and let none of his words H5307 [H8689] fall H776 to the earth.
  20 H3478 And all Israel H1835 from Dan H884 even to Beersheba H3045 [H8799] knew H8050 that Samuel H539 [H8737] was established H5030 to be a prophet H3068 of the LORD.
  21 H3068 And the LORD H7200 [H8736] appeared H3254 [H8686] again H7887 in Shiloh: H3068 for the LORD H1540 [H8738] revealed H8050 himself to Samuel H7887 in Shiloh H1697 by the word H3068 of the LORD.
