  1 H5288 And the child H8050 Samuel H8334 ministered H3068 to the LORD H6440 before H5941 Eli. H1697 And the word H3068 of the LORD H3368 was precious H1992 in those H3117 days; H369 there was no H6555 open H2377 vision.
  2 H1961 And it came H3117 to pass at that time, H5941 when Eli H7901 was laid H7901 down H4725 in his place, H5869 and his eyes H2490 began H3544 to wax dim, H3201 that he could H7200 not see;
  3 H2962 And ere H5216 the lamp H430 of God H3518 went H1964 out in the temple H3068 of the LORD, H834 where H8033 H727 the ark H430 of God H8050 was, and Samuel H7901 was laid H7901 down to sleep;
  4 H3068 That the LORD H7121 called H8050 Samuel: H559 and he answered, H2009 Here am I.
  5 H7323 And he ran H5941 to Eli, H559 and said, H2005 Here H7121 am I; for you called H559 me. And he said, H7121 I called H7901 not; lie H7901 down H7725 again. H3212 And he went H7901 and lay H7901 down.
  6 H3068 And the LORD H7121 called H5750 yet H3254 again, H8050 Samuel. H8050 And Samuel H6965 arose H3212 and went H5941 to Eli, H559 and said, H2005 Here H7121 am I; for you did call H559 me. And he answered, H7121 I called H1121 not, my son; H7901 lie H7901 down H7725 again.
  7 H8050 Now Samuel H2962 did not yet H3045 know H3068 the LORD, H1697 neither was the word H3068 of the LORD H2962 yet H1540 revealed to him.
  8 H3068 And the LORD H7121 called H8050 Samuel H3254 again H7992 the third H6965 time. And he arose H3212 and went H5941 to Eli, H559 and said, H2005 Here H7121 am I; for you did call H5941 me. And Eli H995 perceived H3068 that the LORD H7121 had called H5288 the child.
  9 H5941 Therefore Eli H559 said H8050 to Samuel, H3212 Go, H7901 lie H7901 down: H518 and it shall be, if H7121 he call H559 you, that you shall say, H1696 Speak, H3068 LORD; H5650 for your servant H8085 hears. H8050 So Samuel H3212 went H7901 and lay H7901 down H4725 in his place.
  10 H3068 And the LORD H935 came, H3320 and stood, H7121 and called H6471 as at other times, H8050 Samuel, H8050 Samuel. H8050 Then Samuel H559 answered, H1696 Speak; H5650 for your servant H8085 hears.
  11 H3068 And the LORD H559 said H8050 to Samuel, H2009 Behold, H6213 I will do H1697 a thing H3478 in Israel, H834 at which H8147 both H241 the ears H3605 of every H8085 one that hears H6750 it shall tingle.
  12 H3117 In that day H6965 I will perform H413 against H5941 Eli H3605 all H834 things which H1696 I have spoken H413 concerning H1004 his house: H2490 when I begin, H3615 I will also make an end.
  13 H5046 For I have told H8199 him that I will judge H1004 his house H5769 for ever H5771 for the iniquity H834 which H3045 he knows; H3588 because H1121 his sons H1992 made themselves H7043 vile, H3543 and he restrained them not.
  14 H7650 And therefore I have sworn H1004 to the house H5941 of Eli, H5771 that the iniquity H5941 of Eli’s H1004 house H3722 shall not be purged H2077 with sacrifice H4503 nor offering H5769 for ever.
  15 H8050 And Samuel H7901 lay H5704 until H1242 the morning, H6605 and opened H1817 the doors H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD. H8050 And Samuel H3372 feared H5046 to show H5941 Eli H4758 the vision.
  16 H5941 Then Eli H7121 called H8050 Samuel, H559 and said, H8050 Samuel, H1121 my son. H559 And he answered, H2009 Here am I.
  17 H559 And he said, H4100 What H1697 is the thing H1696 that the LORD has said H4994 to you? I pray H3582 you hide H430 it not from me: God H6213 do H3541 so H3254 to you, and more H3541 also, H518 if H3582 you hide H1697 any thing H3605 from me of all H1696 the things that he said to you.
  18 H8050 And Samuel H5046 told H3605 him every H1697 whit, H3582 and hid H3808 nothing H559 from him. And he said, H3068 It is the LORD: H6213 let him do H5869 what seems H2896 him good.
  19 H8050 And Samuel H1431 grew, H3068 and the LORD H3808 was with him, and did let none H1697 of his words H5307 fall H776 to the ground.
  20 H3605 And all H3478 Israel H1835 from Dan H884 even to Beersheba H3045 knew H8050 that Samuel H539 was established H5030 to be a prophet H3068 of the LORD.
  21 H3068 And the LORD H7200 appeared H3254 again H7887 in Shiloh: H3068 for the LORD H1540 revealed H8050 himself to Samuel H7887 in Shiloh H1697 by the word H3068 of the LORD.
