17 In voce dicit: Obaudite me, divini fructus, et quasi rosa plantata super rivos aquarum fructificate.
18 Quasi Libanus odorem suavitatis habete.
19 Florete flores quasi lilium: et date odorem, et frondete in gratiam: et collaudate canticum, et benedicite Dominum in operibus suis.
20 Date nomini ejus magnificentiam, et confitemini illi in voce labiorum vestrorum, et in canticis labiorum, et citharis: et sic dicetis in confessione:
21 Opera Domini universa bona valde.
27 Benedictio illius quasi fluvius inundavit.

1 A wijs man schal seke out the wisdom of alle elde men; and he schal yyue tent in profetis.
2 He schal kepe the tellyng of named men; and he schal entre togidere in to the hard sentensis of parablis.
3 He schal seke out the pryuy thingis of prouerbis; and he schal be conuersaunt in the hid thingis of parablis.
4 He schal mynystre in the myddis of grete men; and he schal appere in the siyt of the cheef iuge.
5 He schal passe in to the lond of alien folkis; for he schal asaie goodis, and yuels in alle thingis.
6 He schal yyue his herte to wake eerli to the Lord that made hym; and he schal biseche in the siyt of the hiyeste.
7 He schal opene his mouth in preier; and he schal biseche for hise trespassis.
8 For if the grete Lord wole, he schal fille hym with the spirit of vndurstondyng.
9 And he schal sende the wordis of his wisdom, as reynes; and in preier he schal knouleche to the Lord.
10 And he schal dresse his counsel, and techyng; and schal councele in hise hid thingis.
11 He schal make opene the wisdom of his techyng; and he schal haue glorie in the lawe of the testament of the Lord.
12 Many men schulen preyse his wisdom; and it schal not be don awey til in to the world.
13 His mynde schal not go awei; and his name schal be souyt fro generacioun in to generacioun.
14 Folkis schulen telle out his wisdom; and the chirche schal telle his preisyng.
15 If his name dwellith, he schal leeue more than a thousynde; and if he restith, it schal profite to hym.
16 Yit Y schal take councel to telle out, for Y am fillid as with woodnesse;
17 and myn ynnere spirit seith in vois, Ye fruytis of God, here me, and make ye fruyt, as roosis plauntide on the ryuers of watris.
18 Haue ye odour of swetnesse, as the Liban hath.
19 Bringe forth flouris, as a lilee; yyue ye odour, and make ye boowis in to grace. And preise ye togidere a song; and blesse ye the Lord in hise werkis.
20 Yyue ye greet onour to his name, and knouleche ye to him in the vois of youre lippis, in songis of lippis, and in harpis; and thus ye schulen seie in knouleching,
21 Alle the werkis of the Lord ben ful goode.
22 Forsothe watir as an heepe of stoonys stood at his word; and as resettis of watris in the word of his mouth.
23 For whi pesiblenesse is maad in his comaundement; and no defaute is in the heelthe of hym.
24 The werkis of ech fleisch ben bifore hym; and no thing is hid fro hise iyen.
25 He biholdith fro the world til in to the world; and no thing is wondurful in his siyt.
26 It is not to seie, What is this thing, ether, What is that thing? for whi alle thingis schulen be souyt in her tyme.
27 The blessyng of hym schal flowe as a flood;
28 and as the grete flood fillide greteli the erthe, so his yre schal enherite in folkis, that souyten not hym.
29 As he turnede watris in to drynessis, and the erthe was dried, and hise weies weren dressid to the weies of hem; so offenciouns in his ire ben dressid to synneris.
30 Goode thingis weren maad at the bigynnyng to goode men; so goode thingis and yuele ben maad to worste men.
31 The bigynnyng of nedeful thing to the lijf of men, watir, fier, and yrun, and salt, and mylk, and breed of cleene flour of whete, and hony, and a clustre of grape, and oile, and cloth.
32 Alle these thingis schulen turne to hooli men in to goodis; so and to vnfeithful men and synneris in to yuels.
33 Spiritis ben that ben maad to veniaunce; and in her woodnesse thei confermyden her turmentis.
34 And in the tyme of endyng thei schulen schede out vertu; and thei schulen confounde the strong veniaunce of hym that made hem.
35 Fier, hail, hungur, and deth; alle these thingis ben maad to veniaunce; the teeth of beestis,
36 and scorpiouns, and serpentis, and a swerd punyschynge wickid men in to destriyng.
37 In the comaundementis of hym tho schulen ete, and tho schulen be maad redi on the erthe in nede; and in her tymes tho schulen not passe o word.
38 Therfor fro the bigynnyng Y was confermed; and Y counselide, and thouyte, and lefte writun.
39 Alle the werkis of the Lord ben goode; and ech werk schal serue in his our.
40 It is not to seie, This is worse than that; for whi alle thingis schulen be preued in her tyme.
41 And now in al the herte and mouth preise ye togidere, and blesse ye the name of the Lord.

1 He onely that applieth his minde to the Law of the most High, and is occupied in the meditation thereof, seeketh out the wisdome of all the ancient, and exerciseth himselfe in the prophecies.
2 He keepeth the sayings of famous men, and entreth in also to the secrets of darke sentences.
3 He seeketh out the mysterie of graue sentences, and exerciseth himselfe in darke parables.
4 Hee shall serue among great men, and appeare before the prince: he shall trauaile through strange countreys: for he hath tried the good and the euill among men.
5 He wil giue his heart to resort early vnto the Lord that made him, and to pray before the most High, and will open his mouth in prayer, and pray for his sinnes.
6 When the great Lord will, he shall be filled with the Spirite of vnderstanding, that hee may powre out wise sentences, and giue thankes vnto the Lord in his prayer.
7 He shall direct his counsell, and knowledge: so shall he meditate in his secrets.
8 He shal shewe forth his science and learning, and reioyce in the Law and couenant of the Lord.
9 Many shall commend his vnderstanding, and his memorie shall neuer be put out, nor depart away: but his name shall continue from generation to generation.
10 The congregation shal declare his wisdome, and shewe it.
11 Though he be dead, he shall leaue a greater fame then a thousand: and if he liue still, he shall get the same.
12 Yet will I speake of moe things: for I am full as the moone.
13 Hearken vnto me, ye holy children, & bring forth fruit, as the rose that is planted by the brooks of the fielde,
14 And giue ye a sweete smell as incense, and bring forth flowers as the lillie: giue a smell & sing a song of prayse: blesse the Lord in all his workes.
15 Giue honour vnto his Name, and shew forth his prayse with the songs of your lips, and with harpes, and ye shall say after this maner,
16 All the workes of the Lorde are exceeding good, and all his commandements are done in due season.
17 And none may say, What is this? wherefore is that? for at time couenient they shal al be sought out: at his commaundement the water stood as an heape, and at the worde of his mouth the waters gathered themselues.
18 His whole fauour appeared by his commandement, and none can diminish that which he will saue.
19 The workes of all flesh are before him, and nothing can be hid from his eyes.
20 He seeth from euerlasting to euerlasting, and there is nothing wonderfull vnto him.
21 A man neede not to say, What is this? wherefore is that? for he hath made all things for their owne vse.
22 His blessing shall runne ouer as the streame, and moysten the earth like a flood.
23 As he hath turned the waters into saltnes, so shall the heathen feele his wrath.
24 As his wayes are plaine and right vnto the iust, so are they stumbling blockes to the wicked.
25 For the good, are good things created from the beginning, and euill things for the sinners.
26 The principall thinges for the whole vse of mans life is water, fire, and yron, and salt, and meale, wheat and hony, and milke, the blood of the grape, and oyle, and clothing.
27 All these thinges are for good to the godly: but to the sinners they are turned vnto euill.
28 There be spirits that are created for vegeance, which in their rigour lay on sure strokes: in the time of destruction they shewe foorth their power, and accomplish the wrath of him that made them.
29 Fire, and haile, & famine, and death: all these are created for vengeance.
30 The teeth of wilde beastes, and the scorpions, and the serpents, and the sworde execute vengeance for the destruction of the wicked.
31 They shalbe glad to do his commandements: and when neede is, they shall be readie vpon earth: and when their houre is come, they shall not ouerpasse the commandement.
32 Therefore haue I taken a good courage vnto me from the beginning, and haue thought on these things, and haue put them in writing.
33 All the workes of the Lorde are good, and he giueth euery one in due season, & when neede is:
34 So that a man neede not to say, This is worse then that: for in due seaso they are all worthy praise.
35 And therefore praise the Lorde with whole heart and mouth, and blesse the Name of the Lord.

3 He seketh out the misterie of secrete sayinges, and exerciseth himselfe therin continually.
4 He doth seruice among great men, and appeareth before the prince: he goeth into a straunge countrey, and trauayleth thorowe it: loke what good or euyll is among men, he proueth and seketh it out.
5 He purposeth in his heart to resort early vnto the Lord that made him, and to pray before the highest God: he openeth his mouth in prayer, and prayeth for his sinnes.
6 When the great Lorde will, he shalbe filled with the spirite of vnderstanding, that he may then powre out wyse sentences, and geue thankes vnto the Lord in his prayer.
7 He shall order his deuice, and leade his knowledge a right, and geue him vnderstanding of secrete thinges.
8 He shall shewe foorth the science of his learning, and reioyce in the couenaunt of the lawe of the Lorde:

10 His wysdome shalbe spoken of among the people, and the whole congregation shall openly declare his prayse.
11 While he liueth, he hath a greater name then a thousand beside: and after death, the same name remayneth vnto hym.
12 Yet will I speake of mo men of vnderstanding, for I am ful as the moone.
13 Hearken vnto me ye holy vertuous children, bring foorth fruite as the rose that is planted by the brookes of the fielde,

15 Geue magnificence vnto his name, and set hym foorth in his prayse with your lippes, & with musicke and harmonie: Yea euen with the song of your lippes, with harpes and playing, and in geuing thankes vnto him, say after this maner:
16 All the workes of the Lord are exceeding good, & all his commaundementes are meete and conuenient in due season.
17 A man neede not to say, what is that? what is that? for at a time conuenient they shall all be sought: At his commaundement the water was as a wall, and at the worde of his mouth the water stoode still.
18 In his commaundement is euery thing acceptable and reconciled, and his health can not be minished.
19 The workes of all fleshe are before him, and there is nothing hyd from his eyes.
20 He seeth from euerlasting to euerlasting, and there is nothing to wonderful or hye vnto hym.
21 A man neede not to say then, what is this, or that? for he hath made al thinges to do good vnto man.
22 His blessing shall run ouer as the streame, and moysture the earth lyke a fludde of water.
23 Like as he maketh the drouth: so shall his wrath fall vpon the heathen.
24 His wayes are playne and right vnto the iust: but the vngodly stumble at them.
25 For the good, are good thinges created from the beginning, & euyll thinges for the vngodly.
26 All thinges necessarie for the lyfe of man are created from the beginning: water, fire, iron, and salt, meale, wheate, and hony, milke, and wine, oyle and clothing:
27 All these thinges are created for the best to the faythfull: but to the vngodly shall all these thinges be turned to hurt and harme.
28 There be spirites that are created for vengeaunce, and in their rigorousnesse haue they fastened their tormentes: In the time of the ende they shall poure out their strength, and pacifie the wrath of him that made them.
29 Fire, hayle, hunger, and death: al these thinges are created for vengeaunce.
30 The teeth of wilde noysome beastes, the scorpions, serpentes, and the sworde, are created also for vengeaunce, to the destruction of the vngodly.
31 They shalbe glad to do his commaundementes, and when neede is, they shalbe redy vpon earth: and when their houre is come, they shall not ouerpasse the commaundement of the Lorde.
32 Therfore haue I taken a good courage vnto me from the beginning, and haue thought to put these thinges in writing, and to leaue them behinde me:
33 All the workes of the Lorde are good, and he geueth euery one in due season, and when neede is.
34 So that no man neede not to say: This is worse then that: for in due season they are all pleasaunt and good.

1 THE wise men will seek out the wisdom of all the ancients, and will be occupied in the prophets.
2 He will keep the sayings of renowned men, and will enter withal into the subtilties of parables.
3 He will search out the hidden meanings of proverbs, and will be conversant in the secrets of parables.
4 He shall serve among great men, and: appear before the governor.
5 He shall pass into strange countries: for he shall try good and evil among men.
6 He will give his heart to resort early to the Lord that made him, and he will pray in the sight of the most High.
7 He will open his mouth in prayer, and will make supplication for his sins.
8 For if it shall please the great Lord, he will fill him with the spirit of understanding:
9 And he will pour forth the words of his wisdom as showers, and in his prayer he will confess to the Lord.
10 And he shall direct his counsel, and his knowledge, and in his secrets shall he meditate.
11 He shall shew forth the discipline he hath learned, and shall glory in the law of the covenant of the Lord.
12 Many shall praise his wisdom, and it shall never be forgotten.
13 The memory of him shall not depart away, and his name shall be in request from generation to generation.
14 Nations shall declare his wisdom, and the church shall shew forth his praise.
15 If he continue, he shall leave a name above a thousand: and if he rest, it shall be to his advantage.
16 I will yet meditate that I may declare: for I am filled as with a holy transport.
17 By a voice he saith: Hear me, ye divine offspring, and bud forth as the rose planted by the brooks of waters.
18 Give ye a sweet odour as frankincense.
19 Send forth flowers, as the lily, and yield a smell, and bring forth leaves in grace, and praise with canticles, and bless the Lord in his works.
20 Magnify his name, and give glory to him with the voice of your lips, and with the canticles of your mouths, and with harps, and in praising him, you shall say in this manner:
21 All the works of the Lord are exceeding good.
22 At his word the waters stood as a heap: and at the words of his mouth the receptacles of waters:
23 For at his commandment favour is shewn, and there is no diminishing of his salvation.
24 The works of all flesh are before him, and there is nothing hid from his eyes.
25 He seeth from eternity to eternity, and there is nothing wonderful before him.
26 There is no saying: What is this, or what is that? for all things shall be sought in their time.
27 His blessing hath overflowed like a river.
28 And as a flood hath watered the earth; so shall his wrath inherit the nations, that have not sought after him:
29 Even as he turned the waters into a dry land, and the earth was made dry: and his ways were made plain for their journey: so to sinners they are stumblingblocks in his wrath.
30 Good things were created for the good from the beginning, so for the wicked, good and evil things.
31 The principal things necessary for the life of men, are water, fire, and iron, salt, milk, and bread of flour, and honey, and the cluster of the grape, and oil, and clothing.
32 All these things shall be for good to the holy, so to the sinners and the ungodly they shall be turned into evil.
33 There are spirits that are created for vengeance, and in their fury they lay on grievous torments.
34 In the time of destruction they shall pour out their force: and they shall appease the wrath of him that made them.
35 Fire, hail, famine, and death, all these were created for vengeance.
36 The teeth of beasts, and scorpions, and serpents, and the sword taking vengeance upon the ungodly unto destruction.
37 In his commandments they shall feast, and they shall be ready upon earth when need is, and when their time is come they shall not transgress his word.
38 Therefore from the beginning I was resolved, and I have meditated, and thought on these things and left them in writing.
39 All the works of the Lord are good, and he will furnish every work in due time.
40 It is not to be said: This is worse than that: for all shall be well approved in their time.
41 Now therefore with the whole heart and mouth praise ye him, and bless the name of the Lord.

9 Many shall commend his understanding; and so long as the world endureth, it shall not be blotted out; his memorial shall not depart away, and his name shall live from generation to generation.
10 Nations shall shew forth his wisdom, and the congregation shall declare his praise.
11 If he die, he shall leave a greater name than a thousand: and if he live, he shall increase it.
12 Yet have I more to say, which I have thought upon; for I am filled as the moon at the full.
13 Hearken unto me, ye holy children, and bud forth as a rose growing by the brook of the field:
14 And give ye a sweet savour as frankincense, and flourish as a lily, send forth a smell, and sing a song of praise, bless the Lord in all his works.
15 Magnify his name, and shew forth his praise with the songs of your lips, and with harps, and in praising him ye shall say after this manner:
16 All the works of the Lord are exceeding good, and whatsoever he commandeth shall be accomplished in due season.
17 And none may say, What is this? wherefore is that? for at time convenient they shall all be sought out: at his commandment the waters stood as an heap, and at the words of his mouth the receptacles of waters.
18 At his commandment is done whatsoever pleaseth him; and none can hinder, when he will save.
19 The works of all flesh are before him, and nothing can be hid from his eyes.
20 He seeth from everlasting to everlasting; and there is nothing wonderful before him.
21 A man need not to say, What is this? wherefore is that? for he hath made all things for their uses.
22 His blessing covered the dry land as a river, and watered it as a flood.
23 As he hath turned the waters into saltness: so shall the heathen inherit his wrath.
24 As his ways are plain unto the holy; so are they stumblingblocks unto the wicked.
25 For the good are good things created from the beginning: so evil things for sinners.
26 The principal things for the whole use of man's life are water, fire, iron, and salt, flour of wheat, honey, milk, and the blood of the grape, and oil, and clothing.
27 All these things are for good to the godly: so to the sinners they are turned into evil.
28 There be spirits that are created for vengeance, which in their fury lay on sore strokes; in the time of destruction they pour out their force, and appease the wrath of him that made them.
29 Fire, and hail, and famine, and death, all these were created for vengeance;
30 Teeth of wild beasts, and scorpions, serpents, and the sword punishing the wicked to destruction.
31 They shall rejoice in his commandment, and they shall be ready upon earth, when need is; and when their time is come, they shall not transgress his word.
32 Therefore from the beginning I was resolved, and thought upon these things, and have left them in writing.
33 All the works of the Lord are good: and he will give every needful thing in due season.
34 So that a man cannot say, This is worse than that: for in time they shall all be well approved.
35 And therefore praise ye the Lord with the whole heart and mouth, and bless the name of the Lord.

ERV(i)
1 Not so he that hath applied his soul, And meditateth in the law of the Most High; He will seek out the wisdom of all the ancients, And will be occupied in prophecies.
2 He will keep the discourse of the men of renown, And will enter in amidst the subtilties of parables.
3 He will seek out the hidden meaning of proverbs, And be conversant in the dark sayings of parables.
4 He will serve among great men, And appear before him that ruleth: He will travel through the land of strange nations; For he hath tried good things and evil among men.
5 He will apply his heart to resort early to the Lord that made him, And will make supplication before the Most High, And will open his mouth in prayer, And will make supplication for his sins.
6 If the great Lord will, He shall be filled with the spirit of understanding: He shall pour forth the words of his wisdom, And in prayer give thanks unto the Lord.
7 He shall direct his counsel and knowledge, And in his secrets shall he meditate.
8 He shall shew forth the instruction which he hath been taught, And shall glory in the law of the covenant of the Lord.
9 Many shall commend his understanding; And so long as the world endureth, it shall not be blotted out: His memorial shall not depart, And his name shall live from generation to generation.
10 Nations shall declare his wisdom, And the congregation shall tell out his praise.
11 If he continue, he shall leave a greater name than a thousand: And if he die, he addeth thereto.
12 Yet more will I utter, which I have thought upon; And I am filled as the moon at the full.
13 Hearken unto me, ye holy children, And bud forth as a rose growing by a brook of water:
14 And give ye a sweet savour as frankencense, And put forth flowers as a lily, Spread abroad a sweet smell, and sing a song of praise; Bless ye the Lord for all his works.
15 Magnify his name, And give utterance to his praise With the songs of your lips, and with harps; And thus shall ye say when ye utter [his praise:]
16 All the works of the Lord are exceeding good, And every command shall be [accomplished] in his season.
17 None can say, What is this? wherefore is that? For in his season they shall all be sought out. At his word the waters stood as a heap, And the receptacles of waters at the word of his mouth.
18 At his command is all his good pleasure [done;] And there is none that shall hinder his salvation.
19 The works of all flesh are before him; And it is not possible to be hid from his eyes.
20 He beholdeth from everlasting to everlasting; And there is nothing wonderful before him.
21 None can say, What is this? wherefore is that? For all things are created for their uses.
22 His blessing covered the dry land as a river, And saturated it as a flood.
23 As he hath turned the waters into saltness; So shall the heathen inherit his wrath.
24 His ways are plain unto the holy; So are they stumblingblocks unto the wicked.
25 Good things are created from the beginning for the good; So are evil things for sinners.
26 The chief of all things necessary for the life of man Are water, and fire, and iron, and salt, And flour of wheat, and honey, and milk, The blood of the grape, and oil, and clothing.
27 All these things are for good to the godly; So to the sinners they shall be turned into evil.
28 There be winds that are created for vengeance, And in their fury lay on their scourges heavily; In the time of consummation they pour out their strength, And shall appease the wrath of him that made them.
29 Fire, and hail, and famine, and death, All these are created for vengeance;
30 Teeth of wild beasts, and scorpions and adders, And a sword punishing the ungodly unto destruction.
31 They shall rejoice in his commandment, And shall be made ready upon earth, when need is; And in their seasons they shall not transgress [his] word.
32 Therefore from the beginning I was resolved, And I thought [this,] and left it in writing;
33 All the works of the Lord are good: And he will supply every need in its season.
34 And none can say, This is worse than that: For they shall all be well approved in their season.
35 And now with all your heart and mouth sing ye praises, And bless the name of the Lord.

4 He will serve among great men, And appear before him that rules: He will travel through the land of strange nations; For he has tried good things and evil among men.
5 He will apply his heart to return early to the Lord that made him, And will make supplication before the Most High, And will open his mouth in prayer, And will make supplication for his sins.
6 If the great Lord will, He shall be filled with the spirit of understanding: He shall pour forth the words of his wisdom, And in prayer give thanks to the Lord.
7 He shall direct his counsel and knowledge, And in his secrets shall he meditate.
8 He shall show forth the instruction which he has been taught, And shall glory in the law of the covenant of the Lord.
9 Many shall commend his understanding; And so long as the world endures, it shall not be blotted out: His memorial shall not depart, And his name shall live from generation to generation.
10 Nations shall declare his wisdom, And the congregation shall tell out his praise.
11 If he continue, he shall leave a greater name than a thousand: And if he die, he adds thereto.
12 Yet more I will utter, which I have thought upon; And I am filled as the moon at the full.
13 Listen to me, you° holy children, And bud forth as a rose growing by a brook of water:
14 And give you° a sweet savor as frankincense, And put forth flowers as a lily, Spread abroad a sweet smell, and sing a song of praise; Bless you° the Lord for all his works.
15 Magnify his name, And give utterance to his praise With the songs of your lips, and with harps; And thus shall you° say when you° utter [his praise: ]
16 All the works of the Lord are exceedingly good, And every command shall be [accomplished ] in his season.
17 None can say, What is this? wherefore is that? For in his season they shall all be sought out. At his word the waters stood as a heap, And the receptacles of waters at the word of his mouth.
18 At his command is all his good pleasure [done; ] And there is none that shall hinder his salvation.
19 The works of all flesh are before him; And it is not possible to be hid from his eyes.
20 He sees from everlasting to everlasting; And there is nothing wonderful before him.
21 None can say, What is this? wherefore is that? For all things are created for their uses.
22 His blessing covered the dry land as a river, And saturated it as a flood.
23 As he has made the waters salty; So shall the heathen inherit his wrath.
24 His ways are plain to the holy; So are they stumbling blocks to the wicked.
29 Fire, and hail, and famine, and death, All these are created for vengeance;
30 Teeth of wild beasts, and scorpions and adders, And a sword punishing the ungodly to destruction.
31 They shall rejoice in his commandment, And shall be made ready upon earth, when need is; And in their seasons they shall not transgress [his ] word.
32 Therefore from the beginning I was resolved, And I thought [this, ] and left it in writing;
33 All the works of the Lord are good: And he will supply every need in its season.
34 And none can say, This is worse than that: For they shall all be well approved in their season.
35 And now with all your heart and mouth sing you° praises, And bless the name of the Lord.
LXX2012(i)
1 But he that gives his mind to the law of the most High, and is occupied in the meditation thereof, will seek out the wisdom of all the ancient, and be occupied in prophecies.
2 He will keep the sayings of the renowned men: and where subtle parables are, he will be there also.
3 He will seek out the secrets of grave sentences, and be conversant in dark parables.
4 He shall serve among great men, and appear before princes: he will travel through strange countries; for he has tried the good and the evil among men.
5 He will give his heart to resort early to the Lord that made him, and will pray before the most High, and will open his mouth in prayer, and make supplication for his sins.
6 When the great Lord will, he shall be filled with the spirit of understanding: he shall pour out wise sentences, and give thanks to the Lord in his prayer.
7 He shall direct his counsel and knowledge, and in his secrets shall he meditate.
8 He shall show forth that which he has learned, and shall glory in the law of the covenant of the Lord.
9 Many shall commend his understanding; and so long as the world endures, it shall not be blotted out; his memorial shall not depart away, and his name shall live from generation to generation.
10 Nations shall show forth his wisdom, and the congregation shall declare his praise.
11 If he die, he shall leave a greater name than a thousand: and if he live, he shall increase it.
12 Yet have I more to say, which I have thought upon; for I am filled as the moon at the full.
13 Listen to me, you⌃ holy children, and bud forth as a rose growing by the brook of the field:
14 And give you⌃ a sweet savor as frankincense, and flourish as a lily, send forth a smell, and sing a song of praise, bless the Lord in all his works.
15 Magnify his name, and show forth his praise with the songs of your lips, and with harps, and in praising him you⌃ shall say after this manner:
16 All the works of the Lord are exceeding good, and whatever he commands shall be accomplished in due season.
17 And none may say, What is this? therefore is that? for at time convenient they shall all be sought out: at his commandment the waters stood as an heap, and at the words of his mouth the receptacles of waters.
18 At his commandment is done whatever pleases him; and none can hinder, when he will save.
19 The works of all flesh are before him, and nothing can be hid from his eyes.
20 He sees from everlasting to everlasting; and there is nothing wonderful before him.
21 A man need not to say, What is this? therefore is that? for he has made all things for their uses.
22 His blessing covered the dry land as a river, and watered it as a flood.
23 As he has turned the waters into saltness: so shall the heathen inherit his wrath.
24 As his ways are plain to the holy; so are they stumbling blocks to the wicked.
29 Fire, and hail, and famine, and death, all these were created for vengeance;
34 So that a man can’t say, This is worse than that: for in time they shall all be well approved.
35 And therefore praise you⌃ the Lord with the whole heart and mouth, and bless the name of the Lord.
