Malachi 2

  1 H3548 And now, O ye priests H4687 , this commandment is for you.

  2 H8085 If ye will not hear [H8799]   H7760 , and if ye will not lay [H8799]   H3820 it to heart H5414 , to give [H8800]   H3519 glory H8034 unto my name H559 , saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts H7971 , I will even send [H8765]   H3994 a curse H779 upon you, and I will curse [H8804]   H1293 your blessings H779 : yea, I have cursed [H8804]   H7760 them already, because ye do not lay [H8802]   H3820 it to heart.

  3 H1605 Behold, I will corrupt [H8802]   H2233 your seed H2219 , and spread [H8765]   H6569 dung H6440 upon your faces H6569 , even the dung H2282 of your solemn feasts H5375 ; and one shall take you away [H8804]   with it.

  4 H3045 And ye shall know [H8804]   H7971 that I have sent [H8765]   H4687 this commandment H1285 unto you, that my covenant H3878 might be with Levi H559 , saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts.

  5 H1285 My covenant H2416 was with him of life H7965 and peace H5414 ; and I gave [H8799]   H4172 them to him for the fear H3372 wherewith he feared [H8799]   H2865 me, and was afraid [H8738]   H6440 before H8034 my name.

  6 H8451 The law H571 of truth H6310 was in his mouth H5766 , and iniquity H4672 was not found [H8738]   H8193 in his lips H1980 : he walked [H8804]   H7965 with me in peace H4334 and equity H7725 , and did turn H7227 many H7725 away [H8689]   H5771 from iniquity.

  7 H3548 For the priest's H8193 lips H8104 should keep [H8799]   H1847 knowledge H1245 , and they should seek [H8762]   H8451 the law H6310 at his mouth H4397 : for he is the messenger H3068 of the LORD H6635 of hosts.

  8 H5493 But ye are departed [H8804]   H1870 out of the way H7227 ; ye have caused many H3782 to stumble [H8689]   H8451 at the law H7843 ; ye have corrupted [H8765]   H1285 the covenant H3878 of Levi H559 , saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts.

  9 H5414 Therefore have I also made [H8804]   H959 you contemptible [H8737]   H8217 and base H5971 before all the people H6310 , according H8104 as ye have not kept [H8802]   H1870 my ways H5375 , but have been partial [H8802]   H6440   H8451 in the law.

  10 H259 Have we not all one H1 father H259 ? hath not one H410 God H1254 created [H8804]   H898 us? why do we deal treacherously [H8799]   H376 every man H251 against his brother H2490 , by profaning [H8763]   H1285 the covenant H1 of our fathers?

  11 H3063 Judah H898 hath dealt treacherously [H8804]   H8441 , and an abomination H6213 is committed [H8738]   H3478 in Israel H3389 and in Jerusalem H3063 ; for Judah H2490 hath profaned [H8765]   H6944 the holiness H3068 of the LORD H157 which he loved [H8804]   H1166 , and hath married [H8804]   H1323 the daughter H5236 of a strange H410 god.

  12 H3068 The LORD H3772 will cut off [H8686]   H376 the man H6213 that doeth [H8799]   H5782 this, the master [H8802]   H6030 and the scholar [H8802]   H168 , out of the tabernacles H3290 of Jacob H5066 , and him that offereth [H8688]   H4503 an offering H3068 unto the LORD H6635 of hosts.

  13 H6213 And this have ye done [H8799]   H8145 again H3680 , covering [H8763]   H4196 the altar H3068 of the LORD H1832 with tears H1065 , with weeping H603 , and with crying out H6437 , insomuch that he regardeth [H8800]   H4503 not the offering H3947 any more, or receiveth [H8800]   H7522 it with good will H3027 at your hand.

  14 H559 Yet ye say [H8804]   H4100 , Wherefore H3068 ? Because the LORD H5749 hath been witness [H8689]   H802 between thee and the wife H5271 of thy youth H898 , against whom thou hast dealt treacherously [H8804]   H2278 : yet is she thy companion H802 , and the wife H1285 of thy covenant.

  15 H6213 And did not he make [H8804]   H259 one H7605 ? Yet had he the residue H7307 of the spirit H259 . And wherefore one H1245 ? That he might seek [H8764]   H430 a godly H2233 seed H8104 . Therefore take heed [H8738]   H7307 to your spirit H898 , and let none deal treacherously [H8799]   H802 against the wife H5271 of his youth.

  16 H3068 For the LORD H430 , the God H3478 of Israel H559 , saith [H8804]   H8130 that he hateth [H8804]   H7971 putting away [H8763]   H3680 : for one covereth [H8765]   H2555 violence H3830 with his garment H559 , saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts H8104 : therefore take heed [H8738]   H7307 to your spirit H898 , that ye deal not treacherously [H8799]  .

  17 H3021 Ye have wearied [H8689]   H3068 the LORD H1697 with your words H559 . Yet ye say [H8804]   H3021 , Wherein have we wearied [H8689]   H559 him ? When ye say [H8800]   H6213 , Every one that doeth [H8802]   H7451 evil H2896 is good H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H2654 , and he delighteth [H8804]   H430 in them; or, Where is the God H4941 of judgment?
