3 H935 ויבא hath brought H6213 ויעשׂ and done H3068 יהוה Now the LORD H834 כאשׁר according as H1696 דבר he hath said: H3588 כי because H2398 חטאתם ye have sinned H3068 ליהוה against the LORD, H3808 ולא and have not H8085 שׁמעתם obeyed H6963 בקולו his voice, H1961 והיה is come H1697 לכם דבר thing H2088 הזה׃ therefore this

4 H6258 ועתה And now, H2009 הנה behold, H6605 פתחתיך I loose H3117 היום thee this day H4480 מן from H246 האזקים the chains H834 אשׁר which H5921 על upon H3027 ידך thine hand. H518 אם If H2896 טוב it seem good unto thee H5869 בעיניך it seem good unto thee H935 לבוא to come H854 אתי with H894 בבל me into Babylon, H935 בא come; H7760 ואשׂים H853 את H5869 עיני it seem ill unto thee H5921 עליך unto H518 ואם thee: but if H7489 רע it seem ill unto thee H5869 בעיניך it seemeth H935 לבוא to come H854 אתי with H894 בבל me into Babylon, H2308 חדל forbear: H7200 ראה behold, H3605 כל all H776 הארץ the land H6440 לפניך before H413 אל thee: whither H2896 טוב good H413 ואל H3477 הישׁר and convenient H5869 בעיניך H1980 ללכת for thee to go, H8033 שׁמה thither H1980 לך׃ go.

5 H5750 ועודנו yet H3808 לא Now while he was not H7725 ישׁוב gone back, H7725 ושׁבה Go back H413 אל also to H1436 גדליה Gedaliah H1121 בן the son H296 אחיקם of Ahikam H1121 בן the son H8227 שׁפן of Shaphan, H834 אשׁר whom H6485 הפקיד hath made governor H4428 מלך the king H894 בבל of Babylon H5892 בערי over the cities H3063 יהודה of Judah, H3427 ושׁב and dwell H854 אתו with H8432 בתוך him among H5971 העם the people: H176 או or H413 אל wheresoever H3605 כל wheresoever H3477 הישׁר convenient H5869 בעיניך it seemeth H1980 ללכת go H1980 לך unto thee to go. H5414 ויתן gave H7227 לו רב So the captain H2876 טבחים of the guard H737 ארחה him victuals H4864 ומשׂאת and a reward, H7971 וישׁלחהו׃ and let him go.

6 H935 ויבא Then went H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah H413 אל unto H1436 גדליה Gedaliah H1121 בן the son H296 אחיקם of Ahikam H4708 המצפתה to Mizpah; H3427 וישׁב and dwelt H854 אתו with H8432 בתוך him among H5971 העם the people H7604 הנשׁארים that were left H776 בארץ׃ in the land.
