Proverbs 4:1-12 Hear, my sons, the instruction of a father, And attend to know understanding:

2 H5414 For I give H2896 you good H3948 doctrine; H5800 Forsake H8451 ye not my law.

3 H1121 For I was a son H1 unto my father, H7390 Tender H3173 and only H6440 beloved in the sight H517 of my mother.

4 H3384 And he taught H559 me, and said H3820 unto me: Let thy heart H8551 retain H1697 my words; H8104 Keep H4687 my commandments, H2421 and live;

5 H7069 Get H2451 wisdom, H7069 get H998 understanding; H7911 Forget H5186 not, neither decline H561 from the words H6310 of my mouth;

6 H5800 Forsake H8104 her not, and she will preserve H157 thee; Love H5341 her, and she will keep thee.

7 H2451 Wisdom H7225 is the principal thing; H7069 Therefore get H2451 wisdom; H7075 Yea, with all thy getting H998 get understanding.

8 H5549 Exalt H7311 her, and she will promote H3513 thee; She will bring thee to honor, H2263 when thou dost embrace her.

9 H5414 She will give H7218 to thy head H3880 a chaplet H2580 of grace; H5850 A crown H8597 of beauty H4042 will she deliver to thee.

10 H8085 Hear, H1121 O my son, H3947 and receive H561 my sayings; H8141 And the years H2416 of thy life H7235 shall be many.

11 H3384 I have taught H1870 thee in the way H2451 of wisdom; H1869 I have led H4570 thee in paths H3476 of uprightness.

12 H3212 When thou goest, H6806 thy steps H3334 shall not be straitened; H7323 And if thou runnest, H3782 thou shalt not stumble.
