Judges 17

  1 H376 And there was a man H2022 of mount H669 Ephraim, H8034 whose name H4321 was Micah.

  2 H559 [H8799] And he said H517 to his mother, H505 H3967 The eleven hundred H3701 shekels of silver H3947 [H8795] that were taken H422 [H8804] from thee, about which thou didst adjure, H559 [H8804] and spoke H241 of also in my ears, H3701 behold, the silver H3947 [H8804] is with me; I took H517 it. And his mother H559 [H8799] said, H1288 [H8803] Blessed H3068 be thou of the LORD, H1121 my son.

  3 H7725 [H8686] And when he had restored H505 H3967 the eleven hundred H3701 shekels of silver H517 to his mother, H517 his mother H559 [H8799] said, H6942 [H8687] I had wholly H6942 [H8689] dedicated H3701 the silver H3068 to the LORD H3027 from my hand H1121 for my son, H6213 [H8800] to make H6459 a graven image H4541 and a molten image: H7725 [H8686] now therefore I will restore it to thee.

  4 H7725 [H8686] Yet he restored H3701 the money H517 to his mother; H517 and his mother H3947 [H8799] took H3967 two hundred H3701 shekels of silver, H5414 [H8799] and gave H6884 [H8802] them to the silversmith, H6213 [H8799] who made H6459 of it a graven image H4541 and a molten image: H1004 and they were in the house H4321 of Micah.

  5 H376 And the man H4318 Micah H1004 had an house H430 of gods, H6213 [H8799] and made H646 an ephod, H8655 and teraphim, H4390 H3027 [H8762] and consecrated H259 one H1121 of his sons, H3548 who became his priest.

  6 H3117 In those days H4428 there was no king H3478 in Israel, H376 but every man H6213 [H8799] did H3477 that which was right H5869 in his own eyes.

  7 H5288 And there was a young man H1035 H3063 out of Bethlehemjudah H4940 of the family H3063 of Judah, H3881 who was a Levite, H1481 [H8804] and he sojourned there.

  8 H376 And the man H3212 [H8799] departed H5892 out of the city H1035 H3063 from Bethlehemjudah H1481 [H8800] to sojourn H4672 [H8799] where he could find H935 [H8799] a place: and he came H2022 to mount H669 Ephraim H1004 to the house H4318 of Micah, H6213 H1870 [H8800] as he journeyed.

  9 H4318 And Micah H559 [H8799] said H370 to him, Where H935 [H8799] do you come H559 [H8799] from? And he said H3881 to him, I am a Levite H1035 H3063 of Bethlehemjudah, H1980 [H8802] and I go H1481 [H8800] to sojourn H4672 [H8799] where I may find a place.

  10 H4318 And Micah H559 [H8799] said H3427 [H8798] to him, Dwell H1 with me, and be to me a father H3548 and a priest, H5414 [H8799] and I will give H6235 thee ten H3701 shekels of silver H3117 by the year, H6187 and a suit H899 of apparel, H4241 and thy sustenance. H3881 So the Levite H3212 [H8799] went in.

  11 H3881 And the Levite H2974 [H8686] was content H3427 [H8800] to dwell H376 with the man; H5288 and the young man H259 was to him as one H1121 of his sons.

  12 H4318 And Micah H4390 H3027 [H8762] consecrated H3881 the Levite; H5288 and the young man H3548 became his priest, H1004 and was in the house H4318 of Micah.

  13 H559 [H8799] Then said H4318 Micah, H3045 [H8804] Now I know H3068 that the LORD H3190 [H8686] will do me good, H3881 seeing I have a Levite H3548 for my priest.
