Luke 23:8-24

  23:8   3588-1161 ο δε And * Ηρώδης Herod 1492 ιδών beholding 3588 τον   * Ιησούν Jesus, 5463 εχάρη rejoiced 3029 λίαν exceedingly, 1510.7.3-1063 ην γαρ for he was 2309 θέλων wanting 1537 εξ for 2425 ικανού a fit time 1492 ιδείν to behold 1473 αυτόν him, 1223 διά because of 3588 το the 191 ακούειν hearing 4183 πολλά many things 4012 περί concerning 1473 αυτού him; 2532 και and 1679 ήλπιζέ he hoped 5100 τι [²any 4592 σημείον ³sign 1492 ιδείν ¹to behold] 5259 υπ΄ by 1473 αυτού him 1096 γινόμενον taking place.   23:9   1905-1161 επηρώτα δε And he asked 1473 αυτόν him 1722 εν with 3056 λόγοις [²of words 2425 ικανοίς ¹a fit amount]; 1473-1161 αυτός δε but he 3762 ουδέν [³nothing 611 απεκρίνατο ¹answered 1473 αυτώ ²to him].   23:10   2476-1161 ειστήκεισαν δε And standing by 3588 οι were the 749 αρχιερείς chief priests 2532 και and 3588 οι the 1122 γραμματείς scribes, 2159 ευτόνως intensely 2723 κατηγορούντες charging 1473 αυτού him.   23:11   1848 εξουθενήσας [⁵having treated ⁷with contempt 1161 δε ¹And 1473 αυτόν ⁶him 3588 ο   * Ηρώδης ²Herod 4862 συν ³with 3588 τοις   4753-1473 στρατεύμασιν αυτού ⁴his military], 2532 και and 1702 εμπαίξας having mocked him, 4016 περιβαλών having put around 1473 αυτόν him 2066 εσθήτα [²attire 2986 λαμπράν ¹bright], 375-1473 ανέπεμψεν αυτόν sent him back 3588 τω   * Πιλάτω to Pilate.   23:12   1096-1161 εγένοντο δε And they became 5384 φίλοι friends, 3588 ο   5037 τε both * Πιλάτος Pilate 2532 και and 3588 ο   * Ηρώδης Herod, 1722 εν in 1473 αυτή this 3588 τη   2250 ημέρα day 3326 μετ΄ with 240 αλλήλων one another; 4391-1063 προϋπήρχον γαρ for beforehand 1722 εν [²at 2189 έχθρα ³enmity 1510.6 όντες ¹they were being] 4314 προς between 1438 εαυτούς themselves.   23:13   *-1161 Πιλάτος δε And Pilate, 4779 συγκαλεσάμενος having called together 3588 τους the 749 αρχιερείς chief priests 2532 και and 3588 τους the 758 άρχοντας rulers 2532 και and 3588 τον the 2992 λαόν people,   23:14   2036 είπεν said 4314 προς to 1473 αυτούς them, 4374 προσηνέγκατέ You brought 1473 μοι to me 3588 τον   444-3778 άνθρωπον τούτον this man 5613 ως as 654 αποστρέφοντα perverting 3588 τον the 2992 λαόν people. 2532 και And 2400 ιδού behold, 1473 εγώ I 1799 ενώπιον before 1473 υμών you 350 ανακρίνας having questioned him, 3762 ουδέν [²nothing 2147 εύρον ¹find] 1722 εν in 3588 τω   444-3778 ανθρώπω τούτω this man 158 αίτιον for a fault 3739 ων of which 2723 κατηγορείτε to lay charge 2596 κατ΄ against 1473 αυτού him,   23:15   235 αλλ΄ and 3761 ουδέ not even * Ηρώδης Herod; 375-1063 ανέπεμψα γαρ for I sent 1473 υμάς you 4314 προς to 1473 αυτόν him; 2532 και and 2400 ιδού behold, 3762 ουδέν nothing 514 άξιον worthy 2288 θανάτου of death 1510.2.3 εστί is 4238 πεπραγμένον being acted 1473 αυτώ by him.   23:16   3811 παιδεύσας Correcting 3767-1473 ουν αυτόν him then, 630 απολύσω I will release him.   23:17   318-1161 ανάγκην δε (And by necessity 2192 είχεν he had 630 απολύειν to release 1473 αυτοίς to them 2596 κατά each 1859 εορτήν holiday 1520 ένα one person).   23:18   349-1161 ανέκραξαν δε But they shouted aloud 3826 παμπληθεί all at once, 3004 λέγοντες saying, 142 αίρε Take 3778 τούτον this one, 630-1161 απόλυσον δε but release 1473 ημίν to us 3588 τον   * Βαραββάν Barabbas;   23:19   3748 όστις who 1510.7.3 ην was 1223 διά on account of 4714-5100 στάσιν τινά a certain insurrection 1096 γενομένην having taken place 1722 εν in 3588 τη the 4172 πόλει city, 2532 και and 5408 φόνον for murder, 906 βεβλημένος thrown 1519 εις into 5438 φυλακήν prison.   23:20   3825-3767 πάλιν ουν Then again, 3588 ο   * Πιλάτος Pilate 4377 προσεφώνησε called out to them, 2309 θέλων wanting 630 απολύσαι to release 3588 τον   * Ιησούν Jesus.   23:21   3588-1161 οι δε But they 2019 επεφώνουν were sounding out, 3004 λέγοντες saying, 4717 σταύρωσον Crucify! 4717 σταύρωσον Crucify 1473 αυτόν him!   23:22   3588-1161 ο δε And the 5154 τρίτον third time 2036 είπε he said 4314 προς to 1473 αυτούς them, 5100-1063 τι γαρ For what 2556 κακόν evil 4160-3778 εποίησεν ούτος did this one do? 3762 ουδέν No 158 αίτιον fault 2288 θανάτου for death 2147 εύρον do I find 1722 εν in 1473 αυτώ him; 3811 παιδεύσας correcting 3767-1473 ουν αυτόν him then 630 απολύσω I will release him.   23:23   3588-1161 οι δε And 1945 επέκειντο they pressed 5456 φωναίς [²voices 3173 μεγάλαις ¹with great], 154 αιτούμενοι asking 1473 αυτόν for him 4717 σταυρωθήναι to be crucified. 2532 και And 2729 κατίσχυον [³prevailed 3588 αι   5456 φωναί ²voices 1473 αυτών ¹their] 2532 και and 3588 των of the 749 αρχιερέων chief priests.   23:24   3588 ο   1161 δε And * Πιλάτος Pilate 1948 επέκρινε adjudged 1096 γενέσθαι [²to take place 3588 το   155-1473 αίτημα αυτών ¹their request].
