Acts 19:28-41

  19:28   191-1161 ακούσαντες δε And having heard, 2532 και and 1096 γενόμενοι having become 4134 πλήρεις full 2372 θυμού of rage, 2896 έκραζον they cried out, 3004 λέγοντες saying, 3173 μεγάλη Great is 3588 η   * Άρτεμις Artemis * Εφεσίων of the Ephesians.   19:29   2532 και And 4130 επλήσθη [⁴was filled 3588 η ¹the 4172 πόλις ³city 3650 όλη ²entire] 4799 συγχύσεως of confusion. 3729-5037 ώρμησάν τε And they advanced 3661 ομοθυμαδόν with one accord 1519 εις unto 3588 το the 2302 θέατρον theater, 4884 συναρπάσαντες having seized by force * Γαϊον Gaius 2532 και and * Αρίσταρχον Aristarcus, * Μακεδόνας Macedonian 4898 συνεκδήμους traveling companions 3588 του   * Παύλου of Paul.   19:30   3588 του   1161 δε And * Παύλου Paul 1014 βουλομένου wanting 1525 εισελθείν to enter 1519 εις unto 3588 τον the 1218 δήμον people, 3756 ουκ [³did not 1439 είων ⁴allow 1473 αυτόν ⁵him 3588 οι ¹the 3101 μαθηταί ²disciples].   19:31   5100-1161 τινές δε And certain ones 2532 και also 3588 των of the * Ασιαρχών Asiarchs, 1510.6 όντες being 1473-5384 αυτώ φίλοι friends with him, 3992 πέμψαντες sending 4314 προς to 1473 αυτόν him, 3870 παρεκάλουν appealed 3361 μη to not 1325 δούναι put 1438 εαυτόν himself 1519 εις in 3588 το the 2302 θέατρον theater.   19:32   243-3303-3767-243-5100 άλλοι μεν ουν άλλο τι Others therefore one thing and some another 2896 έκραζον were crying out; 1510.7.3 ην [⁴was 1063 γαρ ¹for 3588 η ²the 1577 εκκλησία ³assembly] 4797 συγκεχυμένη in tumult, 2532 και and 3588 οι   4183 πλείους most 3756 ουκ did not 1492 ήδεισαν know 5100-1752 τίνος ένεκεν for what reason 4905 συνεληλύθεισαν they had come together.   19:33   1537-1161 εκ δε And from 3588 του the 3793 όχλου multitude 4264 προεβίβασαν they forced * Αλέξανδρον Alexander, 4261-1473 προβαλλόντων αυτόν [³burgeoning him forth 3588 των ¹of the * Ιουδαίων ²Jews]; 3588 ο   1161 δε but * Αλέξανδρος Alexander, 2678 κατασείσας having waved 3588 την   5495 χείρα his hand, 2309 ήθελεν wanted 626 απολογείσθαι to make a defense 3588 τω to the 1218 δήμω people.   19:34   1921-1161 επιγνόντες δε And recognizing 3754 ότι that *-1510.2.3 Ιουδαίός εστι he is a Jew, 5456 φωνή [³voice 1096 εγένετο ¹there became 1520 μία ²one] 1537 εκ from 3956 πάντων all, 5613-1909 ως επί for about 5610 ώρας [²hours 1417 δύο ¹two] 2896 κραζόντων crying out, 3173 μεγάλη Great is 3588 η   * Άρτεμις Artemis * Εφεσίων of the Ephesians.   19:35   2687 καταστείλας [⁴having restrained 1161 δε ¹And 3588 ο ²the 1122 γραμματεύς ³scribe] 3588 τον the 3793 όχλον multitude, 5346 φησίν says, 435 άνδρες Men, * Εφέσιοι Ephesians, 5100-1063 τις γαρ for what 1510.2.3-444 εστιν άνθρωπος man is there 3739 ος who 3756 ου does not 1097 γινώσκει know 3588 την the * Εφεσίων [²of the Ephesians 4172 πόλιν ¹city] 3511-1510.6 νεωκόρον ούσαν being a devotee 3588 της of the 3173 μεγάλης great 2299 θεάς goddess * Αρτέμιδος Artemis, 2532 και even 3588 του of the one 1356 Διοπετούς sent by Zeus?   19:36   368 αναντιρρήτων Indisputable 3767 ούν then 1510.6 όντων [²being 3778 τούτων ¹these things], 1163-1510.2.3 δέον εστίν it is necessary 1473 υμάς for you 2687 κατεσταλμένους [²restrained 5224 υπάρχειν ¹to be], 2532 και and 3367 μηδέν in nothing 4312 προπετές [²precipitously 4238 πράσσειν ¹to act].   19:37   71-1063 ηγάγετε γαρ For you brought 3588 τους   435-3778 άνδρας τούτους these men, 3777 ούτε who are neither 2417 ιεροσύλους sacrilegious 3777 ούτε nor 987 βλασφημούντας blasphemous 3588 την   2299-1473 θεόν υμών of your god.   19:38   1487 ει If 3303 μεν indeed 3767 ούν then * Δημήτριος Demetrius 2532 και and 3588 οι the 4862 συν [²with 1473 αυτώ ³him 5079 τεχνίται ¹craftsmen] 4314 προς [³against 5100 τινα ⁴anyone 3056 λόγον ²a matter 2192 έχουσι ¹have], 60 αγοραίοι let advocates 71 άγονται be led; 2532 και and 446-1510.2.6 ανθύπατοί εισιν there are proconsuls; 1458 εγκαλείτωσαν let them accuse 240 αλλήλοις one another!   19:39   1487-1161 ει δε But if 5100 τι anything 4012 περί concerning 2087 ετέρων other matters 1934 επιζητείτε you anxiously seek, 1722 εν [²in 3588 τη ³the 1772 εννόμω ⁴lawful 1577 εκκλησία ⁵assembly 1956 επιλυθήσεται ¹it shall be explained].   19:40   2532-1063 και γαρ For also 2793 κινδυνεύομεν we are exposed to danger 1458 εγκαλείσθαι to be accused 4714 στάσεως of insurrection 4012 περί concerning 3588 της   4594 σήμερον today, 3367 μηδενός with no one 158 αιτίου reason 5224 υπάρχοντας existing 4012 περί concerning 3739 ου which 1410 δυνησόμεθα we shall be able 1325 δούναι to render 3056 λόγον a word 3588 της   4963-3778 συστροφής ταύτης for this tumult.   19:41   2532 και And 3778 ταύτα these things 2036 ειπών having said, 630 απέλυσε he dismissed 3588 την the 1577 εκκλησίαν assembly.
