Jeremiah 26:1-24

  3 H8085 [H8799] It may be they will hearken H7725 [H8799] , and turn H376 every man H7451 from his evil H1870 way H5162 [H8738] , that I may repent H7451 of the evil H2803 [H8802] , which I purpose H6213 [H8800] to do H6440 to them because H7455 of the evil H4611 of their doings.

  7 H3548 So the priests H5030 and the prophets H5971 and all the people H8085 [H8799] heard H3414 Jeremiah H1696 [H8764] speaking H1697 these words H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD.
  8 H3414 Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah H3615 [H8763] had finished H1696 [H8763] speaking H3068 all that the LORD H6680 [H8765] had commanded H1696 [H8763] him to speak H5971 to all the people H3548 , that the priests H5030 and the prophets H5971 and all the people H8610 [H8799] took H559 [H8800] him, saying H4191 [H8800] , Thou shalt surely H4191 [H8799] die.

And all the people H6950 [H8735] were gathered H3414 against Jeremiah H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD.
  10 H8269 When the princes H3063 of Judah H8085 [H8799] heard H1697 these things H5927 [H8799] , then they came up H4428 from the king's H1004 house H1004 to the house H3068 of the LORD H3427 [H8799] , and sat down H6607 in the entrance H2319 of the new H8179 gate H3068 of the LORD'S house.
  11 H3548 Then the priests H5030 and the prophets H559 [H8799] spoke H8269 to the princes H5971 and to all the people H559 [H8800] , saying H376 , This man H4941 is worthy H4194 to die H5012 [H8738] ; for he hath prophesied H5892 against this city H8085 [H8804] , as ye have heard H241 with your ears.

  13 H3190 [H8685] Therefore now amend H1870 your ways H4611 and your doings H8085 [H8798] , and obey H6963 the voice H3068 of the LORD H430 your God H3068 ; and the LORD H5162 [H8735] will repent H7451 of the evil H1696 [H8765] that he hath pronounced against you.

  16 H559 [H8799] Then said H8269 the princes H5971 and all the people H3548 to the priests H5030 and to the prophets H376 ; This man H4941 is not worthy H4194 to die H1696 [H8765] : for he hath spoken H8034 to us in the name H3068 of the LORD H430 our God.

  18 H4320 Micah H4183 the Morasthite H5012 [H8737] prophesied H3117 in the days H2396 of Hezekiah H4428 king H3063 of Judah H559 [H8799] , and spoke H5971 to all the people H3063 of Judah H559 [H8800] , saying H559 [H8804] , Thus saith H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts H6726 ; Zion H2790 [H8735] shall be plowed H7704 like a field H3389 , and Jerusalem H5856 shall become heaps H2022 , and the mountain H1004 of the house H1116 as the high places H3293 of the forest.
  19 H2396 Did Hezekiah H4428 king H3063 of Judah H3063 and all Judah H4191 [H8687] put him H4191 [H8689] to death H3373 ? did he not fear H3068 the LORD H2470 [H8762] , and beseech H3068 H6440 the LORD H3068 , and the LORD H5162 [H8735] repented H7451 of the evil H1696 [H8765] which he had pronounced H587 against them? Thus H6213 [H8802] might we procure H1419 great H7451 evil H5315 against our souls.
  20 H376 And there was also a man H5012 [H8693] that prophesied H8034 in the name H3068 of the LORD H223 , Urijah H1121 the son H8098 of Shemaiah H7157 of Kirjathjearim H5012 [H8735] , who prophesied H5892 against this city H776 and against this land H1697 according to all the words H3414 of Jeremiah:
  21 H3079 And when Jehoiakim H4428 the king H1368 , with all his mighty men H8269 , and all the princes H8085 [H8799] , heard H1697 his words H4428 , the king H1245 [H8762] sought H4191 [H8687] to put him to death H223 : but when Urijah H8085 [H8799] heard H3372 [H8799] it, he was afraid H1272 [H8799] , and fled H935 [H8799] , and went H4714 into Egypt;
  22 H3079 And Jehoiakim H4428 the king H7971 [H8799] sent H582 men H4714 into Egypt H494 , namely, Elnathan H1121 the son H5907 of Achbor H582 , and certain men H4714 with him into Egypt.
  23 H3318 [H8686] And they brought forth H223 Urijah H4714 from Egypt H935 [H8686] , and brought H3079 him to Jehoiakim H4428 the king H5221 [H8686] ; who slew H2719 him with the sword H7993 [H8686] , and cast H5038 his dead body H6913 into the burial place H1121 of the common H5971 people.
  24 H3027 Nevertheless the hand H296 of Ahikam H1121 the son H8227 of Shaphan H3414 was with Jeremiah H5414 [H8800] , that they should not give H3027 him into the hand H5971 of the people H4191 [H8687] to put him to death.
