11 H2796 Even to the craftsmen H1129 [H8802] and builders H5414 [H8799] they gave H7069 [H8800] it, to buy H4274 hewn H68 stone H6086 , and timber H4226 for couplings H7136 [H8763] , and to floor H1004 the houses H4428 which the kings H3063 of Judah H7843 [H8689] had destroyed.

12 H582 And the men H6213 [H8802] did H4399 the work H530 faithfully H5329 [H8763] : and the overseers H3189 of them were Jahath H5662 and Obadiah H3881 , the Levites H1121 , of the sons H4847 of Merari H2148 ; and Zechariah H4918 and Meshullam H6956 , of the sons of the Kohathites H6485 [H8716] , to oversee H3881 it; and others of the Levites H995 [H8688] , all that had skill H3627 in instruments H7892 of music.

13 H5449 Also they were over the bearers of burdens H5329 [H8764] , and were overseers H6213 [H8802] of all that wrought H4399 the work H5656 in any manner of service H3881 : and of the Levites H5608 [H8802] there were scribes H7860 [H8802] , and officers H7778 , and porters.

15 H2518 And Hilkiah H6030 [H8799] answered H559 [H8799] and said H8227 to Shaphan H5608 [H8802] the scribe H4672 [H8804] , I have found H5612 the book H8451 of the law H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD H2518 . And Hilkiah H5414 [H8799] delivered H5612 the book H8227 to Shaphan.

16 H8227 And Shaphan H935 [H8686] carried H5612 the book H4428 to the king H7725 0 , and brought H4428 the king H1697 word H7725 [H8686] back H559 [H8800] again, saying H5414 [H8738] , All that was committed H3027 to H5650 thy servants H6213 [H8802] , they are doing.

17 H5413 [H8686] And they have gathered H3701 the money H4672 [H8737] that was found H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD H5414 [H8799] , and have delivered H3027 it into the hand H6485 [H8716] of the overseers H3027 , and to the hand H6213 H4399 [H8802] of the workmen.

18 H8227 Then Shaphan H5608 [H8802] the scribe H5046 [H8686] told H4428 the king H559 [H8800] , saying H2518 , Hilkiah H3548 the priest H5414 [H8804] hath given H5612 me a book H8227 . And Shaphan H7121 [H8799] read H6440 it before H4428 the king.

19 H4428 And it came to pass, when the king H8085 [H8800] had heard H1697 the words H8451 of the law H7167 [H8799] , that he tore H899 his clothes.

20 H4428 And the king H6680 [H8762] commanded H2518 Hilkiah H296 , and Ahikam H1121 the son H8227 of Shaphan H5658 , and Abdon H1121 the son H4318 of Micah H8227 , and Shaphan H5608 [H8802] the scribe H6222 , and Asaiah H5650 a servant H4428 of the king's H559 [H8800] , saying,

25 H5800 [H8804] Because they have forsaken H6999 H6999 [H8762] me, and have burned incense H312 to other H430 gods H3707 [H8687] , that they might provoke me to anger H4639 with all the works H3027 of their hands H2534 ; therefore my wrath H5413 [H8799] shall be poured out H4725 upon this place H3518 [H8799] , and shall not be quenched.

26 H413 And as for H4428 the king H3063 of Judah H7971 [H8802] , who sent H1875 [H8800] you to enquire H3068 of the LORD H559 [H8799] , so shall ye say H559 [H8804] to him, Thus saith H3068 the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H1697 concerning the words H8085 [H8804] which thou hast heard;

30 H4428 And the king H5927 [H8799] went H1004 into the house H3068 of the LORD H376 , and all the men H3063 of Judah H3427 [H8802] , and the inhabitants H3389 of Jerusalem H3548 , and the priests H3881 , and the Levites H5971 , and all the people H1419 , great H6996 and small H7121 [H8799] : and he read H241 in their hearing H1697 all the words H5612 of the book H1285 of the covenant H4672 [H8737] that was found H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD.

32 H4672 [H8737] And he caused all that were present H3389 in Jerusalem H1144 and Benjamin H5975 [H8686] to stand H3427 [H8802] to it. And the inhabitants H3389 of Jerusalem H6213 [H8799] did H1285 according to the covenant H430 of God H430 , the God H1 of their fathers.

33 H2977 And Josiah H5493 [H8686] took away H8441 all the abominations H776 out of all the countries H1121 that pertained to the children H3478 of Israel H4672 [H8737] , and made all that were present H3478 in Israel H5647 [H8686] to serve H5647 [H8800] , even to serve H3068 the LORD H430 their God H3117 .
