Numbers 36 And the chief fathers of the families of the children of Gilead , the son of Machir , the son of Manasseh , of the families of the sons of Joseph , came near , and spake before Moses , and before the princes , the chief fathers of the children of Israel:

2 H559 And they said [H8799] H3068 , The LORD H6680 commanded [H8765] H113 my lord H5414 to give [H8800] H776 the land H5159 for an inheritance H1486 by lot H1121 to the children H3478 of Israel H113 : and my lord H6680 was commanded [H8795] H3068 by the LORD H5414 to give [H8800] H5159 the inheritance H6765 of Zelophehad H251 our brother H1323 unto his daughters.

3 H802 And if they be married H259 to any H1121 of the sons H7626 of the other tribes H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H5159 , then shall their inheritance H1639 be taken [H8738] H5159 from the inheritance H1 of our fathers H3254 , and shall be put [H8738] H5159 to the inheritance H4294 of the tribe H1639 whereunto they are received: so shall it be taken [H8735] H1486 from the lot H5159 of our inheritance.

4 H3104 And when the jubile H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H5159 shall be, then shall their inheritance H3254 be put [H8738] H5159 unto the inheritance H4294 of the tribe H5159 whereunto they are received: so shall their inheritance H1639 be taken away [H8735] H5159 from the inheritance H4294 of the tribe H1 of our fathers.

5 H4872 And Moses H6680 commanded [H8762] H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H6310 according to the word H3068 of the LORD H559 , saying [H8800] H4294 , The tribe H1121 of the sons H3130 of Joseph H1696 hath said [H8802] well.

6 H1697 This is the thing H3068 which the LORD H6680 doth command [H8765] H1323 concerning the daughters H6765 of Zelophehad H559 , saying [H8800] H802 , Let them marry H5869 to whom they think H2896 best H4940 ; only to the family H4294 of the tribe H1 of their father H802 shall they marry.

7 H5159 So shall not the inheritance H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H5437 remove [H8735] H4294 from tribe H4294 to tribe H376 : for every one H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H1692 shall keep [H8799] H5159 himself to the inheritance H4294 of the tribe H1 of his fathers.

8 H1323 And every daughter H3423 , that possesseth [H8802] H5159 an inheritance H4294 in any tribe H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H802 , shall be wife H259 unto one H4940 of the family H4294 of the tribe H1 of her father H1121 , that the children H3478 of Israel H3423 may enjoy [H8799] H376 every man H5159 the inheritance H1 of his fathers.

9 H5159 Neither shall the inheritance H5437 remove [H8735] H4294 from one tribe H312 to another H4294 tribe H376 ; but every one H4294 of the tribes H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H1692 shall keep [H8799] H5159 himself to his own inheritance.

10 H3068 Even as the LORD H6680 commanded [H8765] H4872 Moses H6213 , so did [H8804] H1323 the daughters H6765 of Zelophehad:

11 H4244 For Mahlah H8656 , Tirzah H2295 , and Hoglah H4435 , and Milcah H5270 , and Noah H1323 , the daughters H6765 of Zelophehad H802 , were married H1730 unto their father's H1121 brothers' sons:

12 H802 And they were married H4940 into the families H1121 of the sons H4519 of Manasseh H1121 the son H3130 of Joseph H5159 , and their inheritance H4294 remained in the tribe H4940 of the family H1 of their father.

13 H4687 These are the commandments H4941 and the judgments H3068 , which the LORD H6680 commanded [H8765] H3027 by the hand H4872 of Moses H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel H6160 in the plains H4124 of Moab H3383 by Jordan H3405 near Jericho.

2 H559 ויאמרו And they said, H853 את H113 אדני my lord H6680 צוה commanded H3068 יהוה The LORD H5414 לתת to give H853 את H776 הארץ the land H5159 בנחלה for an inheritance H1486 בגורל by lot H1121 לבני to the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel: H113 ואדני and my lord H6680 צוה was commanded H3068 ביהוה by the LORD H5414 לתת to give H853 את H5159 נחלת the inheritance H6765 צלפחד of Zelophehad H251 אחינו our brother H1323 לבנתיו׃ unto his daughters.

3 H1961 והיו they are received: H259 לאחד to any H1121 מבני of the sons H7626 שׁבטי of the tribes H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H802 לנשׁים H1639 ונגרעה be taken H5159 נחלתן then shall their inheritance H5159 מנחלת from the inheritance H1 אבתינו of our fathers, H3254 ונוסף and shall be put H5921 על to H5159 נחלת the inheritance H4294 המטה of the tribe H834 אשׁר whereunto H1961 תהיינה H1486 להם ומגרל from the lot H5159 נחלתנו of our inheritance. H1639 יגרע׃ so shall it be taken

4 H518 ואם And when H1961 יהיה shall be, H3104 היבל the jubilee H1121 לבני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H3254 ונוספה be put H5159 נחלתן then shall their inheritance H5921 על unto H5159 נחלת the inheritance H4294 המטה of the tribe H834 אשׁר whereunto H1961 תהיינה they are received: H5159 להם ומנחלת so shall their inheritance H4294 מטה of the tribe H1 אבתינו of our fathers. H1639 יגרע be taken away H5159 נחלתן׃ from the inheritance

5 H6680 ויצו commanded H4872 משׁה And Moses H853 את H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H5921 על according to H6310 פי the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H559 לאמר saying, H3651 כן well. H4294 מטה The tribe H1121 בני of the sons H3130 יוסף of Joseph H1696 דברים׃ hath said

6 H2088 זה This H1697 הדבר the thing H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוה doth command H3068 יהוה the LORD H1323 לבנות concerning the daughters H6765 צלפחד of Zelophehad, H559 לאמר saying, H2896 לטוב to whom they think best; H5869 בעיניהם to whom they think best; H1961 תהיינה shall they marry. H802 לנשׁים shall they marry. H389 אך only H4940 למשׁפחת to the family H4294 מטה of the tribe H1 אביהם of their father H1961 תהיינה H802 לנשׁים׃

7 H3808 ולא So shall not H5437 תסב remove H5159 נחלה the inheritance H1121 לבני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H4294 ממטה from tribe H413 אל to H4294 מטה tribe: H3588 כי for H376 אישׁ every one H5159 בנחלת himself to the inheritance H4294 מטה of the tribe H1 אבתיו of his fathers. H1692 ידבקו shall keep H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel

8 H3605 וכל And every H1323 בת daughter, H3423 ירשׁת that possesseth H5159 נחלה an inheritance H4294 ממטות in any tribe H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H259 לאחד unto one H4940 ממשׁפחת of the family H4294 מטה of the tribe H1 אביה of her father, H1961 תהיה shall be H802 לאשׁה wife H4616 למען that H3423 יירשׁו may enjoy H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H376 אישׁ every man H5159 נחלת the inheritance H1 אבתיו׃ of his fathers.

9 H3808 ולא Neither H5437 תסב remove H5159 נחלה shall the inheritance H4294 ממטה from tribe H4294 למטה tribe; H312 אחר to another H3588 כי but H376 אישׁ every one H5159 בנחלתו himself to his own inheritance. H1692 ידבקו shall keep H4294 מטות of the tribes H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel

10 H834 כאשׁר Even as H6680 צוה commanded H3069 יהוה H853 את H4872 משׁה Moses, H3651 כן so H6213 עשׂו did H1323 בנות the daughters H6765 צלפחד׃ of Zelophehad:

11 H1961 ותהיינה were married H4244 מחלה For Mahlah, H8656 תרצה Tirzah, H2295 וחגלה and Hoglah, H4435 ומלכה and Milcah, H5270 ונעה and Noah, H1323 בנות the daughters H6765 צלפחד of Zelophehad, H1121 לבני sons: H1730 דדיהן unto their father's brothers' H802 לנשׁים׃ were married

12 H4940 ממשׁפחת into the families H1121 בני of the sons H4519 מנשׁה of Manasseh H1121 בן the son H3130 יוסף of Joseph, H1961 היו remained H802 לנשׁים H1961 ותהי H5159 נחלתן and their inheritance H5921 על in H4294 מטה the tribe H4940 משׁפחת of the family H1 אביהן׃ of their father.

13 H428 אלה These H4687 המצות the commandments H4941 והמשׁפטים and the judgments, H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוה commanded H3068 יהוה the LORD H3027 ביד by the hand H4872 משׁה of Moses H413 אל unto H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H6160 בערבת in the plains H4124 מואב of Moab H5921 על by H3383 ירדן Jordan H3405 ירחו׃ Jericho.
