Genesis 20 And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the land of the South, and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur; and he sojourned in Gerar.

2 H85 And Abraham H559 said H413 of H8283 Sarah H802 his wife, H269 She is my sister: H40 and Abimelech H4428 king H1642 of Gerar H7971 sent, H3947 and took H8283 Sarah.

3 H430 But God H935 came H40 to Abimelech H2472 in a dream H3915 of the night, H559 and said H4191 to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, H802 because of the woman H3947 whom thou hast taken; H1167 for she is a man's H1166 wife.

4 H40 Now Abimelech H7126 had not come near H559 her: and he said, H136 Lord, H2026 wilt thou slay H6662 even a righteous H1471 nation?

5 H559 Said H1931 he not himself unto me, She H269 is my sister? H1931 and she, H1571 even H1931 she H559 herself said, H251 He is my brother: H8537 in the integrity H3824 of my heart H5356 and the innocency H3709 of my hands H6213 have I done this.

6 H430 And God H559 said H2472 unto him in the dream, H1571 Yea, H3045 I know H8537 that in the integrity H3824 of thy heart H6213 thou has done H2820 this, and I also withheld H2398 thee from sinning H5414 against me: therefore suffered H5060 I thee not to touch her.

7 H7725 Now therefore restore H376 the man's H802 wife; H5030 for he is a prophet, H6419 and he shall pray H1157 for thee, H2421 and thou shalt live: H7725 and if thou restore H3045 her not, know H4191 thou that thou shalt surely H4191 die, thou, and all that are thine.

8 H40 And Abimelech H7925 rose early H1242 in the morning, H7121 and called H5650 all his servants, H1696 and told H1697 all these things H241 in their ears: H582 and the men H3966 were sore H3372 afraid.

9 H40 Then Abimelech H7121 called H85 Abraham, H559 and said H6213 unto him, What hast thou done H2398 unto us? and wherein have I sinned H935 against thee, that thou hast brought H4467 on me and on my kingdom H1419 a great H2401 sin? H6213 thou hast done H4639 deeds H6213 unto me that ought not to be done.

10 H40 And Abimelech H559 said H85 unto Abraham, H4100 What H7200 sawest thou, H6213 that thou hast done H1697 this thing?

11 H85 And Abraham H559 said, H559 Because I thought, H7535 Surely H3374 the fear H430 of God H4725 is not in this place; H2026 and they will slay me H802 for my wife's H1697 sake.

12 H546 And moreover she is indeed H269 my sister, H1323 the daughter H1 of my father, H1323 but not the daughter H517 of my mother; H802 and she became my wife:

13 H430 and it came to pass, when God H8582 caused me to wander H1 from my father's H1004 house, H559 that I said H2617 unto her, This is thy kindness H6213 which thou shalt show H4725 unto me: at every place H935 whither we shall come, H559 say H251 of me, He is my brother.

14 H40 And Abimelech H3947 took H6629 sheep H1241 and oxen, H5650 and men-servants H8198 and women-servants, H5414 and gave H85 them unto Abraham, H7725 and restored H8283 him Sarah H802 his wife.

15 H40 And Abimelech H559 said, H776 Behold, my land H3427 is before thee: dwell H2896 where it pleaseth thee.

16 H8283 And unto Sarah H559 he said, H5414 Behold, I have given H251 thy brother H505 a thousand H3701 pieces of silver: H3682 behold, it is for thee a covering H5869 of the eyes H3198 to all that are with thee; and in respect of all thou art righted.

17 H85 And Abraham H6419 prayed H430 unto God: H430 and God H7495 healed H40 Abimelech, H802 and his wife, H519 and his maid-servants; H3205 and they bare children.

18 H3068 For Jehovah H6113 had fast H6113 closed up H7358 all the wombs H1004 of the house H40 of Abimelech, H1697 because H8283 of Sarah, H85 Abraham's H802 wife.
