1 Samuel 17:45-57 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a javelin: but I come to thee in the name of Jehovah of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

46 H3117 This day H3068 will Jehovah H5462 deliver H3027 thee into my hand; H5221 and I will smite H5493 thee, and take H7218 thy head H5414 from off thee; and I will give H6297 the dead bodies H4264 of the host H6430 of the Philistines H3117 this day H5775 unto the birds H8064 of the heavens, H2416 and to the wild beasts H776 of the earth; H776 that all the earth H3045 may know H3426 that there is H430 a God H3478 in Israel,

47 H6951 and that all this assembly H3045 may know H3068 that Jehovah H3467 saveth H2719 not with sword H2595 and spear: H4421 for the battle H3068 is Jehovah's, H5414 and he will give H3027 you into our hand.

48 H6430 And it came to pass, when the Philistine H6965 arose, H3212 and came H7126 and drew nigh H7125 to meet H1732 David, H1732 that David H4116 hastened, H7323 and ran H4634 toward the army H7125 to meet H6430 the Philistine.

49 H1732 And David H7971 put H3027 his hand H3627 in his bag, H3947 and took H68 thence a stone, H7049 and slang H5221 it, and smote H6430 the Philistine H4696 in his forehead; H68 and the stone H2883 sank H4696 into his forehead, H5307 and he fell H6440 upon his face H776 to the earth.

50 H1732 So David H2388 prevailed H4480 over H6430 the Philistine H7050 with a sling H68 and with a stone, H5221 and smote H6430 the Philistine, H4191 and slew H2719 him; but there was no sword H3027 in the hand H1732 of David.

51 H1732 Then David H7323 ran, H5975 and stood H6430 over the Philistine, H3947 and took H2719 his sword, H8025 and drew H8593 it out of the sheath H4191 thereof, and slew H3772 him, and cut off H7218 his head H6430 therewith. And when the Philistines H7200 saw H1368 that their champion H4191 was dead, H5127 they fled.

52 H582 And the men H3478 of Israel H3063 and of Judah H6965 arose, H7321 and shouted, H7291 and pursued H6430 the Philistines, H935 until thou comest H1516 to Gai, H8179 and to the gates H6138 of Ekron. H2491 And the wounded H6430 of the Philistines H5307 fell down H1870 by the way H8189 to Shaaraim, H1661 even unto Gath, H6138 and unto Ekron.

53 H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H7725 returned H1814 from chasing H310 after H6430 the Philistines, H8155 and they plundered H4264 their camp.

54 H1732 And David H3947 took H7218 the head H6430 of the Philistine, H935 and brought H3389 it to Jerusalem; H7760 but he put H3627 his armor H168 in his tent.

55 H7586 And when Saul H7200 saw H1732 David H3318 go forth H7125 against H6430 the Philistine, H559 he said H74 unto Abner, H8269 the captain H6635 of the host, H74 Abner, H1121 whose son H5288 is this youth? H74 And Abner H559 said, H5315 As thy soul H2416 liveth, H4428 O king, H518 I cannot H3045 tell.

56 H4428 And the king H559 said, H7592 Inquire H1121 thou whose son H5958 the stripling is.

57 H1732 And as David H7725 returned H5221 from the slaughter H6430 of the Philistine, H74 Abner H3947 took H935 him, and brought H6440 him before H7586 Saul H7218 with the head H6430 of the Philistine H3027 in his hand.
