Langt derifra! ¹⁶ vet I ikke at når I byr eder frem for nogen som tjenere til lydighet, da er I også tjenere under den som I så lyder, enten det er under synden til død eller under lydigheten til rettferdighet? ¹⁷ Men Gud være takk at I vel har vært syndens tjenere, men nu av hjertet er blitt lydige mot den lærdomsform som I er blitt overgitt til! ¹⁸ Men idet I er blitt frigjort fra synden, er I trådt i rettferdighetens tjeneste.

Romanian⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁴ Căci păcatul nu va mai stăpîni asupra voastră, pentrucă nu sînteţi supt Lege, ci supt har. ¹⁵ Ce urmează de aici? Să păcătuim pentrucă nu mai sîntem supt Lege ci supt har? Nicidecum. ¹⁶ Nu ştiţi că, dacă vă daţi robi cuiva, ca să -l ascultaţi, sînteţi robii aceluia de care ascultaţi, fie că este vorba de păcat, care duce la moarte, fie că este vorba de ascultare, care duce la neprihănire? ¹⁷ Dar mulţămiri fie aduse lui Dumnezeu, pentrucă, după ce aţi fost robi ai păcatului, aţi ascultat acum din inimă de dreptarul învăţăturii, pe care aţi primit -o. ¹⁸ Şi prin chiar faptul că aţi fost izbăviţi de subt păcat, v'aţi făcut robi ai neprihănirii. -

Зовсім ні! ¹⁶ Хіба ви не знаєте, що кому віддаєте себе за рабів на послух, то ви й раби того, кого слухаєтесь, або гріха на смерть, або послуху на праведність? ¹⁷ Тож дяка Богові, що ви, бувши рабами гріха, від серця послухались того роду науки, якому ви себе віддали. ¹⁸ А звільнившися від гріха, стали рабами праведности.

Нехай не буде. ¹⁶ Хиба не знаєте, що кому оддаєте себе в слуги на послух, того ви й слуги, кого слухаєте: чи то гріха на смерть, чи слухання на праведність? ¹⁷ Дяка ж Богові, що ви були слугами гріха, та послухали від серця тої науки, якій і піддались. ¹⁸ Визволивши ся ж од гріха, зробились ви слугами правди.
