1 Kings 13:22-34

  22 H7725 But camest back [H8799]   H398 , and hast eaten [H8799]   H3899 bread H8354 and drunk [H8799]   H4325 water H4725 in the place H1696 , of the which the LORD did say [H8765]   H398 to thee, Eat [H8799]   H3899 no bread H8354 , and drink [H8799]   H4325 no water H5038 ; thy carcase H935 shall not come [H8799]   H6913 unto the sepulchre H1 of thy fathers.

  23 H310 And it came to pass, after H398 he had eaten [H8800]   H3899 bread H310 , and after H8354 he had drunk [H8800]   H2280 , that he saddled [H8799]   H2543 for him the ass H5030 , to wit, for the prophet H7725 whom he had brought back [H8689]  .

  24 H3212 And when he was gone [H8799]   H738 , a lion H4672 met [H8799]   H1870 him by the way H4191 , and slew [H8686]   H5038 him: and his carcase H7993 was cast [H8716]   H1870 in the way H2543 , and the ass H5975 stood [H8802]   H681 by H738 it, the lion H5975 also stood [H8802]   H5038 by the carcase.

  25 H582 And, behold, men H5674 passed by [H8802]   H7200 , and saw [H8799]   H5038 the carcase H7993 cast [H8716]   H1870 in the way H738 , and the lion H5975 standing [H8802]   H681 by H5038 the carcase H935 : and they came [H8799]   H1696 and told [H8762]   H5892 it in the city H2205 where the old H5030 prophet H3427 dwelt [H8802]  .

  26 H5030 And when the prophet H7725 that brought him back [H8689]   H1870 from the way H8085 heard [H8799]   H559 thereof, he said [H8799]   H376 , It is the man H430 of God H4784 , who was disobedient [H8804]   H6310 unto the word H3068 of the LORD H3068 : therefore the LORD H5414 hath delivered [H8799]   H738 him unto the lion H7665 , which hath torn [H8799]   H4191 him, and slain [H8686]   H1697 him, according to the word H3068 of the LORD H1696 , which he spake [H8765]   unto him.

  27 H1696 And he spake [H8762]   H1121 to his sons H559 , saying [H8800]   H2280 , Saddle [H8798]   H2543 me the ass H2280 . And they saddled [H8799]   him .

  28 H3212 And he went [H8799]   H4672 and found [H8799]   H5038 his carcase H7993 cast [H8716]   H1870 in the way H2543 , and the ass H738 and the lion H5975 standing [H8802]   H681 by H5038 the carcase H738 : the lion H398 had not eaten [H8804]   H5038 the carcase H7665 , nor torn [H8804]   H2543 the ass.

  29 H5030 And the prophet H5375 took up [H8799]   H5038 the carcase H376 of the man H430 of God H3240 , and laid [H8686]   H2543 it upon the ass H7725 , and brought it back [H8686]   H2205 : and the old H5030 prophet H935 came [H8799]   H5892 to the city H5594 , to mourn [H8800]   H6912 and to bury [H8800]   him.

  30 H3240 And he laid [H8686]   H5038 his carcase H6913 in his own grave H5594 ; and they mourned [H8799]   H1945 over him, saying, Alas H251 , my brother!

  31 H310 And it came to pass, after H6912 he had buried [H8800]   H559 him, that he spake [H8799]   H1121 to his sons H559 , saying [H8800]   H4191 , When I am dead [H8800]   H6912 , then bury [H8804]   H6913 me in the sepulchre H376 wherein the man H430 of God H6912 is buried [H8803]   H3240 ; lay [H8685]   H6106 my bones H681 beside H6106 his bones:

  32 H1697 For the saying H7121 which he cried [H8804]   H1697 by the word H3068 of the LORD H4196 against the altar H1008 in Bethel H1004 , and against all the houses H1116 of the high places H5892 which are in the cities H8111 of Samaria, shall surely come to pass.

  33 H310 After H1697 this thing H3379 Jeroboam H7725 returned [H8804]   H7451 not from his evil H1870 way H6213 , but made [H8799]   H7725 again [H8799]   H7098 of the lowest H5971 of the people H3548 priests H1116 of the high places H2655 : whosoever would H4390 , he consecrated [H8762]   H3027   H3548 him, and he became one of the priests H1116 of the high places.

  34 H1697 And this thing H2403 became sin H1004 unto the house H3379 of Jeroboam H3582 , even to cut it off [H8687]   H8045 , and to destroy [H8687]   H6440 it from off the face H127 of the earth.
