Acts 18:1-11 After these things Paul departed from Athens , and came to Corinth;

2 G2532 And G2147 found [G5631] G5100 a certain G2453 Jew G3686 named G207 Aquila G1085 , born G4193 in Pontus G4373 , lately G2064 come [G5756] G575 from G2482 Italy G2532 , with G846 his G1135 wife G4252 Priscilla G1223 ; (because that G2804 Claudius G1299 had commanded [G5760] G3956 all G2453 Jews G5563 to depart [G5745] G1537 from G4516 Rome G4334 :) and came [G5627] G846 unto them.

3 G2532 And G1223 because G1511 he was [G5750] G3673 of the same craft G3306 , he abode [G5707] G3844 with G846 them G2532 , and G2038 wrought [G5711] G1063 : for G5078 by their occupation G2258 they were [G5713] G4635 tentmakers.

4 G1161 And G1256 he reasoned [G5711] G1722 in G4864 the synagogue G2596 G3956 every G4521 sabbath G5037 , and G3982 persuaded [G5707] G2453 the Jews G2532 and G1672 the Greeks.

5 G1161 And G5613 when G5037 G4609 Silas G2532 and G5095 Timotheus G2718 were come [G5627] G575 from G3109 Macedonia G3972 , Paul G4912 was pressed [G5712] G4151 in the spirit G1263 , and testified [G5740] G2453 to the Jews G2424 that Jesus G5547 was Christ.

6 G1161 And G498 when they opposed [G5734] G846 themselves G2532 , and G987 blasphemed [G5723] G1621 , he shook [G5671] G2440 his raiment G2036 , and said [G5627] G4314 unto G846 them G5216 , Your G129 blood G1909 be upon G5216 your G2776 own heads G1473 ; I G2513 am clean G575 : from G3568 henceforth G4198 I will go [G5695] G1519 unto G1484 the Gentiles.

7 G2532 And G3327 he departed [G5631] G1564 thence G2064 , and entered [G5627] G1519 into G5100 a certain G3614 man's house G3686 , named G2459 Justus G4576 , one that worshipped [G5740] G2316 God G3739 , whose G3614 house G4927 joined hard [G5723] G2258 [G5713] G4864 to the synagogue.

8 G1161 And G2921 Crispus G752 , the chief ruler of the synagogue G4100 , believed [G5656] G2962 on the Lord G4862 with G3650 all G846 his G3624 house G2532 ; and G4183 many G2881 of the Corinthians G191 hearing [G5723] G4100 believed [G5707] G2532 , and G907 were baptized [G5712] .

11 G5037 And G2523 he continued [G5656] G1763 there a year G2532 and G1803 six G3376 months G1321 , teaching [G5723] G3056 the word G2316 of God G1722 among G846 them.

ERV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ After these things he departed from Athens, and came to Corinth. ² And he found a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by race, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome: and he came unto them; ³ and because he was of the same trade, he abode with them, and they wrought; for by their trade they were tentmakers. ⁴ And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded Jews and Greeks. ⁵ But when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was constrained by the word, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. ⁶ And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook out his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood [be] upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. ⁷ And he departed thence, and went into the house of a certain man named Titus Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue. ⁸ And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized. ⁹ And the Lord said unto Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: ¹⁰ for I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to harm thee: for I have much people in this city. ¹¹ And he dwelt [there] a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
