2 Samuel 4 And when Saul’s son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.

2 H7586 And Saul’s H1121 son H1961 had H8147 two H582 men H8269 that were captains H1416 of bands: H8034 the name H259 of the one H1195 was Baanah, H8034 and the name H8145 of the other H7394 Rechab, H1121 the sons H7417 of Rimmon H886 a Beerothite, H1121 of the children H1144 of Benjamin: H881 (for Beeroth H1571 also H2803 was reckoned H1144 to Benjamin.

3 H886 And the Beerothites H1272 fled H1664 to Gittaim, H1481 and were sojourners H8033 there H5704 until H2088 this H3117 day.)

4 H3083 And Jonathan, H7586 Saul’s H1121 son, H1121 had a son H5223 that was lame H7272 of his feet. 6 H935 And they came H5704 thither into H8432 the middle H1004 of the house, H3947 as though they would have fetched H2406 wheat; H5221 and they smote H413 him under H2570 the fifth H7394 rib: and Rechab H1195 and Baanah H251 his brother H4422 escaped.

7 H935 For when they came H1004 into the house, H7901 he lay H5921 on H4296 his bed H2315 in his bedchamber, H4904 H5221 and they smote H4191 him, and slew H5493 him, and beheaded H7218 H3947 him, and took H7218 his head, H3212 and got H3212 them away H1870 through H6160 the plain H3605 all H3915 night.

8 H935 And they brought H7218 the head H378 of Ishbosheth H1732 to David H2275 to Hebron, H559 and said H4428 to the king, H2009 Behold H7218 the head H378 of Ishbosheth H1121 the son H7586 of Saul H341 your enemy, H834 which H1245 sought H5315 your life; H3068 and the LORD H5414 has avenged H5360 H113 my lord H4428 the king H2088 this H3117 day H7586 of Saul, H2233 and of his seed.

9 H1732 And David H603 answered H7394 Rechab H1195 and Baanah H251 his brother, H7417 the sons of Rimmon H886 the Beerothite, H559 and said H3068 to them, As the LORD H2416 lives, H834 who H6299 has redeemed H5315 my soul H3605 out of all H6869 adversity,

10 H5046 When one told H559 me, saying, H2009 Behold, H7586 Saul H4191 is dead, H5869 thinking H1319 to have brought H1319 good H1319 tidings, H270 I took hold H2026 of him, and slew H6860 him in Ziklag, H834 who H5414 thought that I would have given H1309 him a reward H1309 for his tidings:

11 H637 How H637 much H3588 more, when H7563 wicked H582 men H2026 have slain H6662 a righteous H376 person H1004 in his own house H4904 on his bed? H6258 shall I not therefore now H1245 require H1818 his blood H3027 of your hand, H1197 and take H776 you away from the earth?

12 H1732 And David H6680 commanded H5288 his young H2026 men, and they slew H7112 them, and cut H3027 off their hands H7272 and their feet, H8518 and hanged H5921 them up over H1295 the pool H2275 in Hebron. H3947 But they took H7218 the head H378 of Ishbosheth, H6912 and buried H6913 it in the sepulcher H74 of Abner H2275 in Hebron.
